Small older style motor inn near busy service centre. Had all the basics plus clean sheets and a comfortable bed

Property was nothing like the website. Is was extremely old and poorly maintained. Right next to a major highway and service station. No curtains on the window over the door with lights shining in all night. Old fashioned air conditioning that was noisy and failed to do the job

Unfortunately I only stayed overnight. Arrived at 5:00pm and departed 10:00am the following day. Room was clean, hot water, milk for tea and coffee and a comfortable bed!

Went to book the hotel and hotel website said it crashed and an error occurred tried to rebook and advised no suitable accommodation available so stayed elsewhere. Then when I checked
my booking it turned out I double booked. Rang the establishment straight away to cancel and the rude owner said the cancellation fee was the full amount. The owner was so rude I would suggest stay here at your own risk. I will be telling everyone I know never ever stay here. Shocking service, bad owners, poor form.

For what we needed - a convenient, clean and comfortable overnight stay on our way to Sydney from Melbourne - our family room at Bushmans Retreat Motor Inn ticked all our boxes.
Yes the place might be on the older side but it was clear the owners are still looking after it, our room probably one of the cleanest spaces we have stayed in in Australia.

Noisy place, not enough beds for how many people we booked for. Cramped and terrible see-through curtains

I could not fault the service and cleanliness of this motel - everything worked that I needed, including hot water and pressure in the shower. However, the bathroom very dated, floortiles in the shower badly worn.

Decor. No-one at reception on arrival. Had to ring on a bad line to make contact.

Cutlery dirty, dusty and didn’t use the shower. beds old and when you’re lying down you’re rolling off. Charges like a 4 star but this hotel is a 2 star right beside a truck stop, can’t get a good night sleep.

A property that provides and easy stop when travelling between Sydney and Melbourne. A very convenient place near food. Good service to have keys ready and good for the cost paid

Very run down motel , rooms not serviced in the 3 nights we were there we had to ask for fresh towels , AC/heater was so noisy we couldnt use it .
No laundry the only good thing was a hot strong shower

It’s was 80’s style and the kids loved the close proximity of the beds to the TV. Close to the highway for a great getaway. Perfect overnight stop over.

Very grateful for a pet friendly room with fridge microwave toaster and kettle. It was clean and the managers are clearly very lovely people. It is easy to find.

Overall comfortable for a budget motel. Comfortable bed with electric blanket.
A couple of things that could be improved: bathroom light was very slow to come on, and the old air conditioner/heating unit was noisy, so not able to have on during cold night.

Could'nt get on to wifi when using password that was provide, no cable tv, carpets were stained, sheets were stained, and the pool and BBQ area OMG. Absolutely disgusting.

Bushmans Retreat Motor Inn at Gundigai is a health hazard. Our original booking was changed to accommodate workmen at nearby construction site. The handbasin is chipped with a large hole and no plug. The sliding window could not be completely closed. However the beds were comfortable and you get what you pay for !
