It was an enjoyable stay other than the neighbors talking and blasting music until 2:00 am. The view would be wonderful if i could have seen the mountains through the smoke.

There were several forest fires in the area and the lodge would not allow us to cancel our reservation so we lost our money. This place is also WAY TO CROWDED.

No wifi the night we stayed, no AC, no bathroom fan but the access to the natural hot springs was very nice, working fridge and microwave and token for free drink at the restaurant next to the motel were great!

If you go here not expecting much, it should be ok. Rooms and bathrooms are DATED, no A/C, and the matresses were not so great.

I love staying at Mountain Village. Always clean and great views. We had 2 issues neither of our key cards worked and I have no knob on the heating unit on the wall to turn on or maintain the heat.

We just LOVED Stanley and the Mountain Village Inn! The Hot Springs was awesome, and the food next door was phenomenal!!! The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave, but our room didn't have A/C and it was very hot so be sure and ask for a newer room with Air! The bakery down the street was great and the grocery was right across from the lodge which was very convenient! I wish we could have stayed here longer..it was our favorite!! Be sure and go to Stanley and Redfish Lake during your stay!

Nice hotel, rooms could use a bit of a refresh but they are tidy and beds are comfy. Hot spring is a must just make sure to reserve a time, some people don't so you might get some company during your time.

No complaints. The room was clean and comfortable. Our stay was in late July and was a very warm day. The room had no air conditioning but the modest price of the room more than made up for the minor discomfort. I would stay here again.

The stay at the Mountain Village Lodge is in a beautiful area the hotel is clean well maintained however the rooms during summer need airflow or fans put in. we had to sleep with the window all the way open and even the door cracked up until about midnight.

Definitely not the most updated property but the views were amazing and the access to the hot springs was an incredible benefit. No other place in Stanley can meet the value of this hotel.

The room itself was nice and clean. However, no AC and the summers get hot and smokey. The front desk staff do not give you a clue about where your room is if it's not in the front of the building.

The room was a nice size and clean. No hair dryer. No AC and it can get hot in Stanley in the summer and smokey. The front desk doesn't give you a clue about where your room is if it is not in the front of the building.

I really liked the hot spring that was part of the hotel. You walk down a sketchy path and soak in the warm spring in a shed.

Very well worn rooms, not friendly staff.

Large room; Mountain View; restaurant accommodated my celiac/dietary restrictions; staff was nice

It was kinda hot in Stanley the day we stopped by with a high of 85F, the hotel does not have air-conditioning so it took a long bath and staying very still up until 12 midnight to catch up on some needed sleep.

biggest problem was room temperature. could not regulate the heat. The heater would come on, and get very warm. Then go off and not come on again until the room was like ice!! very uncomfortable.

Hot tub is amazing

The whole point in booking there was the access to the hot spring. I should have been made aware there was scheduled maintenance and it would be closed.the hotel itself is very old. The mattresses were lumpy, red carpet seen better days, pink tile in bathroom made bathroom look like it should be in a rehab center. It was clean. The restaurant next door is excellent !

Stayed here 6 years ago. Loved it. Just as good as I remembered.

The property itself has great potential. The issue is that there have been no updates for 20 years. Bedding, plumbing, flooring, furnishings, etc. such a miss and great opportunity.

This hotel is pretty neat, they do a really good job. Not like your typical chain style hotel room. Bottom line is the view of the sawtooth mountains and onsite geothermal spring.

Terrible evening desk service. Deceptive amenities advertising.
5.0 / 10.0
Excellent reception and information. We were able to check in early on a very snowy day and that was great. I recommend an upstairs room as there was someone walking above us for a long time and the noise was irritating, just from walking normally in the room.

This was a rustic stay that offered a beautiful hotspring to relax in. The restaurant had good food, we ate dinner and breakfast here. I rented a basic, double queen room. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have hoped. There was hair and crumbs in the tub, and soap residue in the tub and sink from the previous guest. There were crumbs on the bathroom counter as well, some things seemed to have been overlooked in the bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable. The restaurant and hotspring made up for the room.
