Nice hotel, lovely heated pool, good bartenders and some staff is great. However this does not include the front desk. We contunously got wrong answers to our questions and left the service desk more confused or with down right wrong info. This led to a lot of frustration. When asking for help with simple service actions such as booking airport transfer or send some bananas to our room as we would miss breakfast due to an excursion, they were not at all interested in helping and we were asked to sort it out ourselves. Additionally no one were at the front desk when we tried to check out despite agreeing on a time the previous evening. After waiting we had to leave for the airport.

Wonderful, brand new hotel. Hard working staff, great food. We felt Elite Club was worth the extra.....exclusive pool with plentiful Bali beds and its own bar serving food and upgraded drinks overlooking the sea, quiet and blissful. We didn't want to go home!

Went there on honeymoon in October 2022. Left a note on booking but no special treatment / welcome in the room just as normal holiday. No fancy folded towels , flowers or champagne. Staff was mainly very welcoming and friendly except little frustrated on our last day - perhaps it was Diwali when they had to work. Condition of the hotel begs for refurbishing, room and facilities looked much shabbier in real life than on photos. One day pools were very dirty and one had not enough water in it. Last day they also ran out of towels to issue so couldn’t enjoy pool day till last minute. Generally good robust hotel with plenty of eating and drinking options but in desperate need of makeover and good scrub + de-moulding. Loved the local fauna - with birds singing in the morning and geckos + bats lurking in the evening. Also made friends with two cats - hotel policy state to not feed them but they looked starving. Maybe a suggestion for hotel to introduce “cat feeding fund” where guests can donate and cats get fed proper cat food rather than occasional charity from braver guests. Overall good experience but lacked oomph and excusiste feel. Also location is beautiful but super windy 95% of the year - great for surfers but too much wind for swimming in the ocean or snorkelling.

Nice employees. Very poor quality room bed and design Tia let iar the entrance and bathroom on the outside of the room the bed is horrible one of the worst that I slept on.noisy uncomfortable cockroach was in the room. Food quality below average.

A very laid back place in a great location. Loved the friendly staff full of smiles, and the close proximity to blue water. The Rui was also great value with its all inclusive offering. Would come back....

What this property has going for it is mainly location and its friendly staff . Except that, it does not live up to the ratings and claims of a four star resort. The food is repetitive (literally! The restaurants have the same menu EVERYDAY!) and is just about edible. For the price of US 275 a night, it is just not worth it. Although the staff try their level best to make up for it, it is just not enough.

The staff was amazing - they totally care for finding ways to make us proper food, my wife is vegan (and pregnent) so they make special food every day (!!). Also, the host manager Chris was nice and warm guy thet help us in everything. Thank you! you are all amazing!

The place is okay but not great by any stretch. The food us rather poor in comparison to other 4* we've traveled to and even compared to other Riu resorts. They advertise 3 al la carte's but only one is an actual al la carte menu. The beach and surrounding Le Morne area is magnificent though and a reason to stay however in the future we would look at other resorts or private rental residences.

We stayed at few hotels at Mauritius on our vacation. One thing i have to point out about staff at Riu - really wonderfull and better than some 5 star properties. The food and facilities were on a good level and we were very happy with value for money we got. One comment for improvement was the room - maintenance and clenliness. And we are NOT speaking about renovation. With some very basic maintenance fixes the room would look much nicer....such as painting, silicones in the bathroom, fixing broken tiles, cleaning corners & spaces/cracks between tiles, etc.We enjoyed our stay at RIU and i have to say that it’s really a great place for windsurfers/kiters.

From beginning to end, the staff accommodated all our needs. Everyone was friendly and took a personal interest. From the beginning, Bhavna and Nicolas greeted and helped us at the front desk. I recommend this hotel!

Morne - one of the best corners of Mauritius Riu Morne - a simple and agreeable hotel. The atmosphere is good and the personnel dedicated. All effort is made to make the clients comfortable.A fully recommended hotel. However to communicate with the hotel is complicated at booking time unless an agency is chosen.

Riu Le Morne's beach is very windy, so if you are looking spending lazy time on a hotel's beach, this is not the best option. If you are looking calmer beach go to the Morne public beach from the hotel, much less windy. For surfing the hotel is perfect! The buffet food is mediocore I expected more. It is hard to sleep in the room, because all the noises from the corridor and slamming the other room doors is clearly heard. Also the singer in the front lobby is heard to the rooms.

Nice room but a bit small for my taste! Facility is modern and renonvated. Having stayed at Riu Creole also, I would definitely recommend Riu Creole over Le morne as Creole is more lively, the bar is 24hrs and have more entertainment day and night. Staff are definitely friendlier at Creole and approchable. If you are looking for a peaceful and restful holiday then Le morne is for you but if you are looking for fun holiday as well as restful then choose creole.
