Incredible stay. Very welcoming and friendly professional staff. Fantastic facilities and attention to detail.

By far the best hotel in Zanzibar on the beach. Incredible villas, impeccable service start to finish. Angela and Nash went out of their way as did the rest of the staff. For an upscale, all inclusive boutique experience this is your place. It’s near noisy Paje so you can get rowdy if you choose. Also lots of food options in Paje if you don’t feel like dining at the property.

We absolutely loved Baraza. First and foremost, every single person working there (and there are so many as it’s well maintained) has a smile, a love of life and can’t help you enough. The resort, beach and spa are beautiful. I didn’t realize it included all meals which were beyond delicious, truly world class. There was local entertainment with dinner each night. There was an interesting class each dayWe had a different massage each day (pricing is treat). We went snorkeling nearby, great trip. Zanzibar is a very poor island, but the people are extremely happy and there is very low crime. Do stone town on the day you are leaving to avoid the round trip. We had personal guided tour of spice market which was great. Ask for Abbas. So glad we stayed at Baraza!

The hotel is phenomenal. We rented a 2-bed villa with private pool. It was clean, luxurious and very private.
The service exceptional with special attention from the staff at every turn. The food was amazing buffet and a la carte options. The entire staff is to be commended for their friendliness, attention to detail, and going the extra mile. A special thank you to Esther who sourced special seafood dishes for us to make our experience even more memorable. We will definitely not hesitate to return and recommend it warmly to our friends and family. Again, thank you!

My experience at Baraza Resort & Spa in Zanzibar was nothing short of extraordinary. My husband and I came to Zanzibar for the first time to celebrate our birthdays and I must say it was worth the 20plus hours of flight time. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury.
The resort's ambiance was simply enchanting, with stunning architecture and overall look. I love the Arabian vibe it has and every decor had intricate details. The hotel is well maintained, room service came in morning and night. They showed up immediately if you had any issues. They treated us with so much respect and showed appreciation for all their guests. Esther is a dream, she’s just so amazing. Habibu, Garib, Angela, Nyangi, Dr Lilianne, Chef Lucas and Barat were amongst the numerous exceptional staff we also interacted with.
The staff at Baraza are the heart and soul of this exceptional retreat. I literally wish I can take them to every resort I travel to because they’re amazing!!.Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine desire to ensure the comfort of every guest truly set this resort apart. From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed, I was consistently impressed by their dedication to providing impeccable service. The dining experience was amazing!! From breakfast to lunch and to dinner… even the deserts was a hit!!. Oh and please visit the spa!
My time at Baraza Resort & Spa was an unforgettable journey into paradise. Thank you Baraza, we will be back!!!

Wow, wow, wow! This property is stunning and picturesque in every corner you turn. The grounds feel endless and our villa was very spacious as well. The staff is amazing and felt like family. They went above and beyond. When we first arrived Bori and Brazilian host (sorry forgot name) greeted us with a warm welcome and from there on took care of all our needs and special requests. Peresia did a fantastic job being our server and even set up a surprise lunch for us by the beach and that lunch was so fresh and delicious. If you're not a fan of their buffets , they will make pretty much anything for you on demand. For most of the part we enjoyed the buffet. We did two water activities, reef walk with Musa and Eric and snorkeling with Eidi. Enjoyed both thoroughly! I would highly recommend the snorkeling if you want to see a ton of fish. If you go on the reef walk make sure you cover up and wear a lot of sun screen. We got gnarly sunburns but the experience was amazing. The only experience that we did not enjoy as much were our massages. They were kinda sloppy and inconsistent. The spa room is gorgeous though, just like the rest of the hotel. All in all, would definitely come back.

An absolutely stunning resort set on a beautiful beach. The staff was incredibly hospitable, but one of the most memorable things was the cuisine. The Chef, who hails from Chile, was incredible. Every meal we had was most memorable. I would highly recommend Baraza to anyone looking for a great escape.

Great beaches, wonderful food and amazing property with very few guest capacity. 31 bungalows and maximum around 100 guests, most of whom you only see at dinner time. We will go back for sure.

A family - small chain of hotels, the decor is drop dead gorgeous - every detail works together, creating a feeling both exotic and soothing at the same time. The workmanship is excellent, the gardens beautiful and the staff attentive without being overbearing.

You can not fault this Resort in anyway. By far the best place I have stayed in. Food, Staff, Spa and the value for money just beyond imaginable.

Everything was over the top. The villa was spacious and so comfortable. Food was excellent. The spa is amazing. The best staff and service.
2.5
The villa is spacious and well equipped, and the resort accommodates just below 70 people in a large territory, so it feels very private and exclusive. The staff are very friendly and are always ready to help. Tides are a problem for open water swimmers as it is impossible to swim in low tide, so plan your day carefully. Not clear why the resort does not want to earn some more money by selling alcoholic drinks a la carte (for wines, just fixed choice of 2 wines of each kind daily in an all inclusive arrangement), but that is how resort operates.
