Very important: change in management a few months ago. So all the negative critique does not apply anymore. The new stuff really makes an effort to better things.

We stayed for triple room and double bed room. The lights are very dim, it made me felt uncomfortable. The room and the washroom are old. I would rather pay a reasonable price for a better hostel. But if you have limited budget, this room is still okay for staying a few days.

Horrific. Left early after first night for another hotel, due to how very poor the hotel was, in particular the fact that we felt we were in danger there. All lies in hotel description, eg 24 hour front desk is false; in fact, told to leave lobby after 1:00am because apparently closing. NO connectable wifi in rooms when description mentions Free wifi in rooms, and NO Coffee/Tea in the lobby available. Furthermore, locks almost insecure and almost non existent. Mouldy walls so thin as if not there and could hear every word from next door. Broken lamps on entering room. General dark lighting with sight difficulties. Only tiny window was present like in prison. Holes in bed sheets. Most critical problem-could not talk to receptionist because he was incapable of speaking English, but only Portuguese, despite Hotels.com representative attempting many different languages on night of arrival to discuss the issues. Money for all nights demanded in cash up front on check in; scam as this was not refundable despite early check out due to how horrific the whole experience was. Overall advice, never consider this place. All pictures shown are not truly representative. I generally like to approach matters in a civilised manner, however words of profanity would not suffice in the excruciating experience. Wholeheartedly recommend a third party to inspect on the hotel, imposing necessary actions to shut it down to prevent further prospective guests from such poor experience.

Very basic hotel. Thre was a sink and a shower in the bedroom so it was good for the price. The atmosphere wasn't that great though. Missing plugs in the bedroom, there was just one for the TV.

Basic, but good hotel for short stay in the Porto. It wa all-you-need: bed (good quality), shared bathroom (not new furniture, but good condition). Also you can use fridge. Attention! Wi-Fi available close to Reception ONLY and you CANNOT use common area from 9PM till 9AM :( So during this time Wi-Fi de facto is unavailable. Kitchen is available, but ... microwave and kettle ... broken :((( Location GOOD, total furniture good, clean, but I don't understood WHY owner WANT made from this HOSTEL a good QUALITY EUROPEAN HOTEL?!
