It's a very nice and beautiful small lodge. Conveniently located to shops, restaurants and tours. Breakfast is delish. Just wish they have a pool to relax. Staff are friendly.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Both the room and the bathroom are big. We had 2 queens and a single beds, it's perfect for our family. The complimentary breakfast is great, too. Highly recommended.

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!! Talk about a very pleasant surprise or something being grossly underrated. This is an outstanding hotel. The pictures on Expedia and the word “Lodge” in the name don’t do just to the quality of accommodation and the service level. The decor and the ambience - in the common areas and in the room set this hotel apart. Looks like the property has been completely renovated recently - everything felt very new. We had an issue during our stay but they took care of it very quickly.

Better than expected. Great room good size and all facilities but mattress very old and creaky as breakfast service let it down. Remember all yours cash only and nearby cash points didn’t work for us and hotel unable to give cash back.

Even though hotel itself is reasonably good, surrounding area is not that good. Breakfast does not have much choices. We were 3 families who traveled together. For one of the families, they charged for 3 nights even though we all stayed only for 2 nights. They refused to refund the extra night charge to that 1 family. So, people should be careful with their billing charges.

Emilio at the front desk was very helpful. I did not get the name of the morning waitress at the restaurant, but she is definitely bringing a good and cheerful vibe to your morning even if you are in a hurry. Very comfortable beds and settings. We would recommend this place.

This is SUCH a beautiful property. I stayed here as a solo female traveler and I was absolutely in love with my room! It was so spacious, and the property itself is so well maintained and has such a gorgeous ambiance. It’s in a really great location in Monteverde, and I felt safe the entire time I was here. All the staff had phenomenal customer service and went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed myself. The food was always excellent, too! My only gripe was that the drinks didn’t seem to be strong enough (meaning it never felt like there was any alcohol, even when I ordered the alcoholic drinks) but I still enjoyed everything I had. If I ever travel back to Costa Rica, I will for sure be staying here again. I love Sibū Lodge!

Friendly personnel, clean room, good restaurant in-site, free parking. Just stayed there one night while visiting Monteverde Cloud Forest. The hotel was better than expected, considering the remoteness of this national park.

The hotel is newly renovated, service people kept it very clean. However, the room we stay (number 27) only has a small window towards the aisle. It was hot the day we arrived, we had to leave the door open (no AC), but the air circulation was bad, we felt stuffy. The sound proof is awful, our neighbor was sick and kept coughing, it was so loud we couldn’t sleep. The hotel told me they were to check out the next day but they didn’t ( I am not complaining the poor sick man), so we had another night without good sleep. They could have moved us to another room!

Pictures don’t do justice of this boutique hotel. it is so beautiful in person. staff is very attentive and keeping the place very clean. They have couple terraces to hangout and watch the view. It is right middle of the town. Room sizes are small but overall lovely place to stay.

Overall everything was great. The only problem was the restaurant. They forgot part of my dinner order and they lost our breakfast order, so it took us 45 minutes to reorder and get served.

Sibu was a wonderful place to stay while in Monte Verde. The hotel employees are very helpful, offering a map of the main town, and the place is wonderfully modern and clean, with beautiful decor. Our only complaint was that our room was off the main courtyard and one of the walls was a window so we woke up to other guests talking outside very early. Otherwise we had a lovely stay and appreciated the modern accommodations and beautiful layout

Beautiful hotel! Upgraded our room for unknown reason but, hey, we’ll take it! Good food. Close to Santa Elena Cloud Forest. Shower in room to die for. Nothing but good to say about this place!

The door to our room doesn’t seal so ambient noise is an issue. There are zero hooks for hanging a coat in the room. Also we were below the sun deck and people dragging metal chais on the deck above is VERY loud. Put up a sign. Other than those easy fixes you’ve got a great place! Justin was our bartender and an absolute delight. Hold on to him.

The stay here was okay. Rooms are a bit cramped, with hardly any space to move around or keep luggage. Beds are a little saggy with poor support . And when it’s windy, the cold air seeps into the room, rattling the doors all night. Breakfast is average. You have to pre order one day before. Coffee is lukewarm and tasteless. Staff is friendly and helpful. Property is clean and the bathrooms looked newly remodeled.

It was a pretty okay stay, everything was clean and neat, but it just has a mild feel of a "motel" instead of a hotel. The room has a bit of a cramped feel, and the walls were not so sound-proof; we did hear some noise from a neighboring room at night from a loud TV/music. But otherwise it was definitely clean, and we had what we needed. Definitely fine for a 1-night stay, or more if you are not particular.

The communication is excellent even before you arrive. The staff were amazing especially the guy at the front desk who did everything to accommodate us! It’s immaculate and the breakfast is delicious and beyond filling. We would definitely stay again if we ever come back to Monteverde.
