Overall the stay was great, the apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed,as well as being in a prime location.
However there were 2 things that let it down slightly for us,
Number 1,our apartment was at the back of the building and it was pretty noisy, with deliveries arriving at 4 am and bins being emptied early on as well,we ended up using ear plugs.
Number 2,during booking it mentioned that there was a lift from the first floor onwards........what wasn't mentioned is the 30 odd steps to climb with luggage before you get to the lift!, anyone with heavy bags or maybe a pram would have really struggled I'd imagine.
Other than that it was fine.

Comfy, nice, clean room near Walter Scott Memorial. Discounted off site parking. Outside door into building tricky to find. (It was right next to KFC). Nicest room in my two week trip. Wish I’d had it for more than a night.

The apartment was advertised as being on St Andrews square. This was not quite the case. It turned out we walked from there towards Princes street, and the door of the apartments was right next to a McDonald’s. Not quite the location we thought! However, extremely central! When we entered the apartment building the hall area was functional, but not particularly welcoming. Upon opening the door to the apartment the smell of greasy chips was overwhelming. We worked out the extractor fan of either the McDonald’s or the KFC was outside our window. It was quite frankly disgusting! The room was styled nicely and the bathroom was luxurious, but nothing could distract us from the smell which came in wafts. For this reason I would not stay there again. Our clothes and hair smelled of this smell the whole of the next day!

Easy access to property clean and modern and a well equipped kitchen with tea and coffee
Shower room top notch with nice raindrop shower and nice toiletries

Apartment was easy to access. Clean, modern with tv, fridge and washer drier. Altogether excellent stay.

The overall stay was good. As we arrived after 5, i couldn’t locate the hair dryer in my room and the heated towel rack was not working, I contacted the property by WhatsApp as instructed from the property’s email. There was no response from the property until I checked out. We rented the apartment with 2 rooms, there should be one hair dryer in each room but only one was found.
Since there are more baby boomers visitors, I recommend hand grip should be installed inside the shower unit.
The location is good and convenient.

Perfectly situated apartment with very comfortable accommodations. The train and tram are within 1 block walking distance. The apt has a washer and dryer!!! Just be ready to walk 23 stairs up with your luggage to the first floor lift.

Be aware that if you book this hotel via Hotels, com or Expedia the hotel will email you around 18hrs before your check in to advise that you must telephone the office & provide credit card details for the security deposit. This is okay if you’re in the UK but might be an issue if you are on a long distance flight. You cannot access the apartment without first providing your details. There is no reception at the property, so be aware that you might find yourself stranded.
The apartment itself is well appointed & comfortable. The lift is on the first floor which might be an issue for you if you have limited mobility (or heavy luggage).
Location is excellent for walking everywhere & very close to train station.

It’s a roomy apartment , amenities are well considered. But need to clarify that you have to be there after 3PM. No front desk entry code won’t work before 3pm.

Fantastic stay here. Awesome location.

Room was fine, but it was very nosy. Trams can be hear all night and there are homeless ppl and drunks (outside Macdonald) playing music all night and day , was horrible. Constantly shouting and base music all night, would recommend not to stay .
Also, elevator is near and makes a racket of noise when in use.

Newly renovated fully stocked apartment very close to train. Room itself is nice and comfortable. However, comfort also includes overall environment. Outside window is an alley full of unsightly dumpsters, seems to be a glass recycling center. At 5am, work trucks with their beeping alarms begin arriving, loading and dumping the glass bottles. It’s extremely loud and impossible to sleep through. Additionally there’s a solar bright light on an adjacent building pointed right to the apartment window. At 2am the room was as bright as daylight. Between the two, it was near impossible to get any sleep. While these are factors outside control of the company, they can take actions to mitigate these issues as again, comfort includes all factors and not being able to sleep is a key element of comfort.

Wonderful, pristine apartment. Would have liked to have been able to use the lift. Long climb up to the apartment. If use of the lift would be made available for guests, this place could be said to be perfect.

Location was great for getting around. Close to train station , buses etc

Nice accommodation very convenient to the train station. Room is spacious with fully stocked kitchen. Check in is easy with coded entry to main door and room. Marked down the rating from 5-star because the rooms looks out to a dirty back alley that is the location for a lot of unsightly dumpsters. Not only that, we were awoken at 0530 by a constant stream of very loud trucks dumping glass into these large bins. Even with the windows closed it was annoying when we’re trying to sleep. Other rooms that don’t face this alley are likely much better.

The apartment was great! Very clean inside and had everything we needed. It was a perfect location near the train station and between the old and new city. The main entrance could use a little improvement as it was not like the pic I saw when booking the apartment. Other than that all was fantastic!

The Destiny Apartments were clean and well kept. The location made for very easy access to pretty much wherever you want to go in Edinburgh with access to the tram within a 3 minute walk. Multiple historic and monuments, museums, and other amazing locations are also within a short walk.
That said, the apartments can get hot in the summer months as there is no air conditioning (only heating) and the windows only open about 2 inches, making airflow through the apartment minimal. It is also immediately off a busy street and near several bars and nightlife, which are all active until well into the night, so if you’re looking for a quiet place - this is not it.

Comfortable, clean and a great location. The only negative was the room smelled of KFC and McDonald's with both outlets located downstairs.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location for walking around Edinburgh.
A busy area so quite noisy outside but otherwise a nice stay.

Our stay was wonderful and the apartment was immaculate. Walking distance to all of the attractions we wanted to see.

Great location and apartment was just as described! Highly recommend!

The reason I didn't rate it as a 5 was that we were told there was a lift there. When we got there we had to climb 2 flights of stairs before the lift started. At 70 years old, we purposely picked a place with a lift. This was very deceiving and caused a lot of trouble.

Beautiful place to stay

This is a nice place to stay with easy access to the train station and many of the main attractions.

Spacious and convenient, but others are below expectations.

The apartment was beautiful and the location could not be beat. Steps from restaurants and parks and close to the action of Princes street. However a couple of things were less than ideal. First, the dryer was inoperable. Clothes would was and the heat of the dryer would come on, but the clothes wouldn’t dry. Second, the windows let in a significant amount of light at night, this combined with no fans, made sleep a bit challenging.
Overall a really nice place but a couple of improvements couple be made to be an outstanding experience.

Quite apartment tucked away in the middle of it all.

Specious and very modern rooms. Stove, microwave, dishwasher and clothes washer all included. Large size bathroom very close to transportation and grocery stores.

Kitchen, washer/dryer combo, two bedroom and 2 bath, living room spacious.

All good except there is no elevator from the entrance to 1st floor; be aware if you have many luggages

Cannot fault our stay. Amazing WiFi connection, clean, easy access with our code. Fabulous room with everything we could need and more. Very central and perfect for our trip to the Christmas markets!!

Noise from the alley outside the room woke us up every morning. Could also hear the sounds of door slamming from other units throughout the night.

Great apartment with ideal location, easy check in friendly staff, nice and clean.

Great stay.

Didn't send email check-in. Air conditioning didnt work. Room was too hot. I asked for sheets, but instead I got a fan. Washer dryer hard to find. Hot water was not hot. There is no guide to work out what level to get out of escalator. Blinds did not block out the light coming through the window, which i had to open due to heat. Very noisy at night and in the morning.
Good location though.
Light in window
