I really enjoyed my stay here. Very close to the town of Sabang for conveniences, and my poolside room was very comfortable with everything I needed including a fridge. Love the hooks everywhere as I had plenty of wet gear that needed to dry out. The restaurant had a huge range of food options and the quality was pretty high. Pricier than other places I stayed in Philippines but not crazy high. Diving was good, and dive centre is close. Pleasant to sit on the water and have sea breezes. Staff was very attentive.

Very accommodating & friendly environment.

Nice view, but the room was small and there were no bathroom curtains.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Perfect for dive trips since they have a wonderful and a very long standing dive shop. I ended up staying for 3 more nights. Ive enjoyed the seared tuna and tuna steak for meals, good brewed coffee. My room was comfortable with comfy mattress and bed sheets. Great dive staff as well. You can get the peace and quiet when needed. I stayed during slow weekdays. Fyi: They have a centralized tip box. I very much appreciate my experience here.

From beginning to end, the staff were welcoming, friendly and able to help me with any questions. Food was great and the room was perfect for what i needed. I will book again next time im in puerto galera.
Thanks

For SCUBA diving, it's great. Go. Get under water.

They made us feel comfortable and the staff are honest and respectful. I left my signature scarf and the housekeeper ran towards us and said “Mom, you forgot your scarf,” it’s a nice feeling when you know you’re safe. I got my money’s worth. I shall return.

The rooms are little bit outdated. Restaurant with good food and nice sea view and space-full open area.

Let’s just start out with the ONLY negative item I can think of, for the stay... My in-room coffee pot didn’t work. That’s it. Everything else about the resort was excellent, exceptional, or some category better than that. .The room - Ocean front... Clean as could be. With a small nook table for charging technology. Nice linens. Nice pillows, etc. Small but absolutely functional. .The resort - Clean and well laid out. Nice open air bar area, which is a bit of a social hub. The usual beer selections, and always perfectly cold..The staff - Simply amazing. Happy faces everywhere. From the front desk to the bar to the buffet. Seems that the daily cleaning tasks never end, but the ladies maintaining the grounds were up to the task. Always someone available to answer questions, refill coffee, or serve a cold beer. Departure was a bit sad, saying “bye” to the ladies. .Food - Way beyond what you would expect. Breakfast buffet was excellent (with “on demand” omelets). The other meals from the kitchen were all 10/10 as well. Tried a few other restaurants around town, but the El Galleon kitchen was by far the best around..Dive shop / dive team - Couldn’t have been better! Professional, competent, knowledgeable, etc. another 10/10 performance. .I have stayed at quite a few 5 star resorts in my day. All with professional and competent service. The hospitality at El Galleon tips them all.

Very professional and friendly staff. Good location, just far enough away from Sabang.

Of course, its great if youre a diver. But I really like that its comfy w/o being over the top.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It's right on the water and close to all the restaurants and shops nearby. The restaurant at the hotel was also pretty good.
Service was great; the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, but they're clean and functional.
There's no road that goes to the hotel, so you have to drag your luggage through the small alleys and beachwalks of Sabang beach which is a bit inconvenient, but the hotel had one of their staff carry my luggage for me both ways.
Wifi was decent! Overall, very nice spot!

This is a great resort for SCUBA divers! The associated Asia Divers is a top notch facility and when coupled with the convenience of staying here, you'll have a great trip. The food here was also very good. We are at many different places during our week and in the end decided the food at our resort was some of the best we found.
The rooms are nothing fancy but plenty adequate for our stay. They are pretty clean and in good condition.

Handily placed hotel with a good bar, restaurant and friendly and helpful dive team.

A great place away from the noise and bustle of Sabang. Perfect if you’re a scuba diver I want to become one.

Liked the the resort and friendly staff, food was excellent but the downside of having a seaview room is having to climb approx 70 stairs to get there.

Great location, very nice hotel, goid food, friendly staff !

Great dive base. If your a diver or a dive wannabe, go!
4.3
Great dive staff, very friendly hotel staff make El Galleon and Asia Divers my favourite spot so far in the Philippines. And the barrel bar on the ocean for sunsets makes a perfect ending to great diving days... and love those grilled peanuts and garlic!!! The very best!!!
4.3
The resort is in a great location a little further out of town in a quiet area. My original room #29 had three stairs to the bathroom, not recommended for older adults or young kids. I was moved to a nicer room, #9. Very quiet with a wifi router in the room.
4.3
Great place to stay for divers and divers in training.
4.3
You have many choices in Sabang to choose for a weeklong, or just a weekend stay. El Galleon delivered the expectations. Nice room, tropical setting, lots of green, pleasant and friendly personnel, and the food at the restaurant on site was delicious, and they offer a good variety of choices. The pool is small, and when there is diving training in the pool, not much room for non-divers. Suggest to work around, schedule using the pool during non-training hours.

nice resort

Just ok. Hotel was far from the pier and the only way to get there was to walk on the beach. The staff was very accommodating. Good breakfast buffet for the money. Would stay at a hotel closer to the pier next time or a different beach other than Sabang
4.3
Nice stay at El Galleon. Located in the quiet part of Sabang this hotel is perfect for relaxation. Easy to get a bankga for snorkeling at Coral Garden for instance. Great breakfast buffet at 500php.
4.3
We stayed at seaview room with balcony, it has nice view, some wood leaves covered sea view, though... the location of this room inside resort is a bit high, it cannot be recommended to old people, but room is clean and big enough for a couple traveler and quiet also...

This so-so resort is secondary to the top-notch Asia Divers. The tiny swimming pool is often occupied by scuba diver training. The rooms are closely clustered on two-stories in a u-shape; fronted along the beach by the restaurant / bar. All very compact and convenient. Beach towels are provided and room towels are changed daily request. A small bottle of water is provided free but houekeeping needed to be reminded daily to bring it. The open kitchen provides an excellent and delicious, if expensive, selection food. Staff were efficient and pleasant.
The air-conditioner and ceiling fan were both quiet and reading lights and hot shower were provided. But if I visited again I would avoid the Budget Rooms, which are well past refurbishment date. For example the shower-room door has rotted along the bottom, the curtains don't actually fit the windows and the bamboo floor of the room feels unsafe, as do the plank steps used to climb-up to the budget rooms.
Definately poor value for money!
4.3
The staff very accommodating. The location quite beautiful sitting outside overlooking the beach/ocean. Food service very fast and good. Although, the room could use some improvements, overall stay, value was good.
