In a lifetime of traveling, this was a truly standout experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and makes you feel transported to a magical time. The service is next level. Siham and the rest of the staff care deeply about their city and your experience and will connect you with the absolute best guides (with a discount). Hussaini knows the city better than anyone and will show you the religious sites and you will feel like old friends with the local craftsman that you meet like him. There are many amazing options outside the city, but if you want to see the beauty of the Middle Atlas Mountains, Hassan is your man. Yacine is another amazing staff member who procured me a large bag to bring back everything that I had bought, including a gorgeous traditional Berber carpet and Tagine made in front of my eyes. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. Stay here for the experience of a lifetime through customer service that you won’t find anywhere else.

Nice ambiant … staff are very friendly and provide excellent services. Assisted me in getting a local guide as well as booking of early morning taxi to the airport.

This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in in all my years of traveling. (I don’t stay at 5 star Four Seasons type places fyi) It is absolutely beautiful (please see pictures) Service, especially SIham, was exceptional. The breakfasts served in the gorgeous courtyard were great. It is easily located to the medina and walking distance to the main tourist sites in old Fez. The beds we’re comfortable, and the rooms gorgeous. Daily housekeeping. Highly highly recommend staying here.

This Riad was beautiful and perfectly located for exploring the Medina and other sites in Fez. They also went out of their way to honor my VIP perks by providing our transport to the train station in lieu of tour discounts we didn’t take (because we booked independently). I would happily stay at this Riad again when returning to Fez in the future.

Brilliant. Lots of walking in the Medina has lots of steps. Take care.

The best part was Siham and the rest of the staff. She was so welcoming and helped us with many things. Also the breakfast was amazing!

The Riad interior is simply stunning. The room we stayed is tight for two twin beds. The service here is excellent and the people are friendly and helpful.

The riad was beautiful and clean. The rooms were beautiful decorated and very comfortable. The staff were attentive (especially Siham) and helped with any requests we had that included arranging pickup and drop off to the train station as well as arranging a guide to walk us through the Medina. It also had an elevator which was a lovely feature.

Very friendly and helpful host; beautiful setting and perfect location for all the sites

Really lovely Riad in the medina old town. A driver picked us up at the train station that we had arranged as extra who was really helpful. Staff at the Riad were also really helpful and it felt safe inside. However, for us being in the heart of Fez, as soon as we went outside, were hassled a lot by locals to help guide us (which of course is their way of trying to get you to pay) - so if you are prepared for that, and the staff at the Riad also warn about this, and not to get too deep into the market alone, that’s fine. But if you are worried about having to ignore people who claim to want to help you in the streets, definitely take a guide who will help look after you. Unfortunately we didn’t have long to investigate the rest of Fez apart from this area as we only stayed one night. So mixed feelings about Fez itself, and am sure there are many other wonderful parts to discover, and the Riad was wonderful - if you tell them in the morning that you want to eat there, they will cook for you, which we would have done if we had known as the breakfast the next morning was amazing.

We had a wonderful, friendly stay at Riad Mazar!

I recently stayed at the Riad Mazar and it was an experience to remember.
From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the staff was amazing.
Yacine at the reception was incredibly helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with any needs we had. Yacine ensured our stay was smooth and enjoyable.
Siham also contributed greatly to our positive experience, offering detailed information about parking, the surrounding area, and the city itself. Her insights made navigating Fez much easier and more enjoyable.
Khalid, the owner, was a standout personality. His friendliness made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors.
The riad itself is so beautiful and the architecture is stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city.
The breakfast was amazing.

Siham and the staff were great, helped to arrange tours to Fes and Chefchaouen, and provided me with a lot of help and information before we left for Morocco. The Riad is beautiful, very spacious, and the air conditioning is great! Another key item: the Riad os on a real street so a taxi can bring you to the front door (unlike a lot of other riads in the medina). Excellent breakfast!

We had an amazing time at Riad Mazar Fes. Everything exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful Riad (photos didn’t do this place justice!) to the friendly staff and the excellent service overall. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! Everyone was helpful and going the extra mile to accommodate in every way. Siham helped book our tour with a very good local tour guide Jamal and helped us with transportation. Unfortunately we only had one night in Fes. Definitely coming back and staying more nights in Riad Mazar Fes. Thank you Siham and thank you Khalid for a memorable stay in Fes.

The staff was great. The Riad is a gem with beautiful mosaic and original woodwork. We only stayed one night and it was short but sweet.

After traveling thru Morocco for two weeks, I can easily endorse this Riad as my favorite. Stayed in 5 others and this is by far my favorite. Lovely helpful staff, rooms well cared for, staff helpful in all ways, and the main courtyard is beautiful, peaceful and a lovely setting for a rest and a fabulous nutritious breakfast.
It is very private and walkable to many shops and restaurants. Like all Riads in the Medinas they are safe and walkable but know taxis and cars are not allowed. Our driver was able to drive to the Riad to pick us up but check this out. Truly a gem representative of kind hospitality.

If you want a stay in an authentic Riad this is a great place. Staff is fine and location is good. Too bad the hotel is located in Fes - which is another story.

The photos really don’t do this riad any justice. It is so beautiful and everyone is so kind and welcoming. Breakfasts were always delicious and beautiful as well. Siham was so kind and helpful in booking a tour for the medina, a late appointment for the spa, and helping us to get our train tickets. She was probably my favorite part of my visit to Fes! Thank you all again so much for an incredibly comfortable stay! :)

What a jaw droppingly beautiful place on the edge of the massive Medina. The staff, especially Siham, was professional, friendly and attentive to our needs including arranging our pick up from the bus station and help with arranging tours. However, I would suggest booking multi day tours online to prevent misunderstandings in pricing and the ability to pay with credit cards rather than expected cash payments. Our private guide, Abdul, was amazing, informative and patient as he escorted through the infinite labyrinth of Fes' Medina.
The breakfast provided was also excellent and we appreciated the room upgrade.

I recommend visitors to Fez stay in a Riad and experience both wonderful hospitality and stunning and unique Moroccan accommodation. The Riad Mazar Fes is fantastic. Halid went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful time. He is rightly proud of the effort put into creating this beautiful Riad. Our room with private ensuite was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The traditional Moroccan breakfast can include western style eggs etc if you want. The main guest areas and relaxing spaces were an extra treat. The Riad is well located. We are a retired Australian couple who have been travelling and living in hotels full time since May 2023. Riad Mazar Fez is one of the loveliest unique boutique accommodation options we have enjoyed.

We went to Casablanca to experience modern Morocco, and we hoped to experience the more traditional Morocco in Fes. We were not disappointed, and Riad Mazar was the perfect place to explore from. It is a small and beautifully renovated Riad with cosy, comfortable well appointed rooms situated just inside the ancient Medina. All 3 staff are very attentive and welcoming. Siham is an excellent host and concierge and began with very helpful instruction beforehand on how to access the hotel from the Medina gate, since taxis cannot get right to the door. She arranged an excellent walking tour of the Medina with Bochta and a driving tour of the region with Saddiq. Both were extremely knowledgeable and professional and we highly recommend each. The Medina in particular should not be missed. It’s a colorful, crowded and animated place full of sights, sounds, aromas and history, and probably largely unchanged for centuries. It is a labyrinth and a knowledgeable guide is essential to get the most out of it. The Riad was our oasis of calm at the end of busy days and we then started each morning with an excellent Moroccan breakfast, cheerfully modified to our dietary requirements.
Our stay in Fes was all we hoped for and the Riad Mazar and their excellent staff contributed greatly to the success of our visit. We recommend it highly.

The Riad is beautiful. I stayed only 1 night, so did not get to sample the cooking, but my family stayed on and said it was extraordinary.
The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. It was also a good location to take walking tours of the old Medina. The room was gorgeous!
