Great Hotel, awesome views, right on the beach. Ate lunch at the pub and dinner at The Grill excellent food.
1.5 / 5.0
Positive, Nice view, free parking, able to control climate in room, shower water pressure was great, beds were small for people over 5’10” but comfortable.
Negative, water damage stain on ceiling, room is very small standing on top of one another with just two people. Bathroom was very large, however, had a pedestal sink nowhere to put toiletries, musty, mildew, smell was very strong, coffee was not good at all, lighting in room was poor.

Booked a one night getaway and very impressed with all the staff I encountered from check in to dinner and breakfast prior to check out. Room was clean, comfortable and the views from the balcony were amazing! Food was top notch. And how convenient with the beach and stores all within walking distance around me. Will definitely be back soon!

Adorable hotel with a view of small beach. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Definitely worth the upgrade for the corner room with the water view. We had a great deck with chairs perfect to watch the day end while sipping a beverage!

You had to double park to register and there was no sign telling you where to register. Staff was very friendly which was nice. Our room was small with only 1 bag rack and no shelf space. I had to grab a table from the patio for my suitcase and shelf space. The room was 78 degrees when we got there and turning on the AC did little as heat was blowing from the heat vent despite the thermastat being off. Report of this to the front desk resulted only with the AC being placed on continual at 66 degrees. The room was reasonably clean but the rug was dirty and we found that the sliding door did not always look without multiple tries. There was no rod to place in the door track to stop it from being opened in case it didn't lock when we were in the room which would have helped our anxiety. All this would not have stopped us from returning as the staff was very friendly, the food and service at the on site restaurant was very good and the location and view was wonderful BUT parking was impossible. This venue has very little parking even if they did not host weddings. They offer complimentary valet parking but we wanted to access to our car when we wanted it and chose to self park. We found no parking in front of our unit and ended up in the back lots. One evening I even had to move a valet "no parking" sign and park there as there was no other space. The last night there we actually found a space in front of our unit and I was so releaved I almost cried.

We enjoyed our stay at Union Bluff in the adjoining motel arrangement. The room was on the small side, but the view was wonderful and worth being there.

Great location with a view. The free bikes were a pleasant bonus. We spent the day riding around the beach area and up to the lighthouse.

The motel room was clean, however a lot smaller than expected. Especially for the price of the room . The air conditioner did not work if you used the hairdryer at the same time. The coffee maker didn’t work either.

Our room was disappointing for the $$$$ we spent. Shabby furniture and musty odor. Worn carpeting. Good location.

I am appalled at the nasty condition of this place. We actually checked out a day early and they were kind enough to refund us because we were so disgusted with the quality of the room. It smelled so bad, stains all over the rug floors, the shower curtain was practically in shreds, there was mold in the lamp shade, there was cracking in the walls and ceilings, and the cherry on top was the Band-Aid over our peep hole!!! At $550 per night you expect some standard … honestly insulting

Property was really nice with great access to beach, shops & restaurants. The only issue we had was our room had a horrible smell that never went away.

Service and staff was great . Dinner and breakfast onsite was great. Only complaints were I didn't get the room I booked .I reserved a queen with ocean view and got a room with two double beds and a window view of ocean. Room smelled a little musty carpet felt little damp so not sure if they shampooed it and ac kept it damp. But also a garbage oder in stairways and a really heavy footed person above us way into the early morning. But other then that It was good .

The rooms were quaint and clean and very convenient to the beach. You can walk right across the road and be at the beach. We would stay here again.

Overall for the money you pay to stay here, my stay wasn’t super fab. We stayed at the motel surfside and it was SO loud all hours of the night, there was a wedding Saturday so lots of partying. The mattress was horrendous. It was a metal frame with a cheap mattress over it. The lights on the balcony never went off, or dimmed. So you couldn’t leave open the slider to listen to the waves before bed and it was like daylight out there. It was safe, it was clean, it was pretty with the ocean right here. But again, for 525 a night, you hope for something a little better.

For family rooms more than two keys should be available. Great location. Food was good but overpriced. Bar staff was terrific

Very dated facilities which can be charming but is cumbersome. TV didn’t work. Took two visits to the front desk across a day to get it resolved, which made entertaining two young kids at night a challenge at best. Could hear people walking around upstairs until very late at night. Mistakenly left our credit card at the bar (corralling kids to bed). Bar confirmed they have it to the front desk. Front desk insisted they didn’t have it and were literally anything but helpful. Couldn’t have cared less if he tried. I had to demand leaving our contact information for when it shows up and response was, “I don’t want to get your hopes up because it’s not here.” Except it is. Wonderful way to continue our travels without a credit card and an incredibly apathetic and cold staff person to help. Staff in the bar were at least understanding and tried to help.

It was ok but I expected more for the money

Location is absolutely unmatched and it pretty much ends there. I feel like spending 1,200 on two nights (with tax) was pricey to climb three flights of stairs to my room and have a very uncomfortable shared balcony. The air conditioning wall units are so loud they will keep you up all night and the pictures of the rooms are definitely deceiving. The food is the restaurant was subpar also. Wouldn’t call this a “boutique hotel”. That’s a stretch.

Room was clean and nice convenient location to all things around the beach. You don’t have to drive once you get there. Front desk staff was a little rude.

Hotel itself is beautiful and quaint. Beds are incredibly uncomfortable, absolutely zero water pressure in the shower.
1.0 / 5.0
The room overall was small. The light bulb for the bedside lamp was burnt out. The curtains for the room were improperly installed so it was impossible to draw them closed and they dragged on the floor. The building structure showed multiple areas of rotting wood. At the hotel restaurant my meal was burnt and had to be sent back. The table next to us ordered a BLT, but they forgot to put the bacon in the sandwich! This hotel had issues at every level.

This is a beautiful location! We enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the beach.
