This is our third time staying here in November the last 3 years. The hotel has a newer building and an older building. We've always stayed in the newer building with the pool. It is very nicely decorated and comfortable for the most part.
This time we had to switch rooms because the mattress in the first room was so stiff I couldn't sleep. My sons bed creaked every time he moved, but they moved us the next morning upon request and that solved the bed issues.
The room has a nice outdoor patio and the pool area is very nice.
The cons are the breakfast is below average. It wouldn't take much to make it better. We chose to make waffles because both days the scrambled eggs were hard and cold, the sausages are shriveled up and dry, and the potatoes are plain and barely warm. The only way to dress them up is ketchup or hot sauce in a bottle. I'm not sure what they use for coffee and orange juice, but neither taste anything like coffee or oj. It was all the same the second day, so it wasn't a fluke. Unfortunately, at that time of year, there are no other choices in Bluff for breakfast, so you just have to make the best of it. Also, the breakfast room has a code to get in the door which seems to stump everyone staying there. If you happen to sit by the door, you will find yourself in the awkward position of either letting everyone in who can't figure out how to get in, or ignoring them, which is even worse as they fumble around to try to get in the breakfast room.

This was our first time visiting this area and first time staying here and we were absolutely 100% satisfied with every aspect!! The service was warm and friendly, the location was convenient and most of all, the rooms and entire facility were inviting and comfortable. I highly recommend!!

The toilet ran all night long, during our stay . The breakfast was mediocre. Guess I expected more for the price of the room!

Very posh accommodations in a small town. Room was great. Service was great. Unfortunately there was a limited menu at the restaurant due to staffing concerns. Not many open food options in town. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Pretty nice place

While researching a 3 week long trip throughout the American SW. this area appears in google map as a pretty desolate area. It is but it has a lot of stuff to do close by. This was a perfect transition to the Grand Canyon from Moab and it allowed us time for a needed rest and I slept like a baby after time in the hot tub and pool. It also allowed a visit through Monument Valley with many great photo ops.

Very nice hotel, but better book the new rooms instead of old or cabins which only have a queen.
Restaurant for dinner was great, breakfirst not so good

We stayed at Desert Rose as part of a 9-day southwest road trip. We only stayed one night in our travels from Page through Monument Valley and ultimately to Moab. We were delighted in every way: the staff, the food, the pool, and the beautiful grounds. Our room was wonderful; modern, roomy, well-lit, and the bed was super comfortable. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

This was a good place for a stop on our trip for a night or two. Clean- friendly and the restaurant was surprisingly very good!... for being out in the middle of the desert lol.
It would be cool if they could have "dark" area to go sit nad star gaze at night

Our room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the check in staff being up front about food options. That was important. Our advice is to plan to arrive in a timely fashion in the afternoon as there are only a couple of choices for food. The Desert Rose Resort was a great stay.

Lovely hotel with pool and nice common areas. The place is close to monument valley and the town has a couple of nice restaurant options.

The young lady at the front desk went above and beyond to help us obtain a convenient room. I had just had surgery and would have struggled getting luggage to the 2nd floor. She even offered to carry the luggage but then ran out to the parking lot to stop us and gave us a cabin instead. Amazing young woman!

This hotel is a must. Everything was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations (in superior desert view room). We plan to visit this hotel again. Our kids said they felt like celebrities. This was our favorite hotel on our trip, hands down.

The dessert rose resort it situated in a nice small town in bluff, although on main road you will not be disturbed by traffic as there is none. The resort it self is very beautiful for sure but pricy for some outdated furniture and choice of colors in the room.
I would recommend changing the color of the towels as some of the towels look very old with stains as they are beige in color you cannot bleach them. Also a change of shower head as water sprays in all directions.
Breakfast was mediocre. Not continental. So if you are looking for a selection, this is not the place.
They also have a code to enter the breakfast room, which we thought was very weird. No other guests would come other than the resort guests right?
The pool area was the best. We had a great time as it is pretty quiet and not many people in the pool or hot tub.
I would recommend the housekeeping to keep doors closed when cleaning the rooms as small bugs and critters were found in our room.
Don’t miss out to try out the local fry bread tacos at the twin rock cafe! They are delicious we are vegetarian so did not add meat and was great.

Like most hotels, the Desert Rose only provides one suitcase stand per room. Since most rooms are double occupancy, two stands would be appreciated. The hotel now has a $15 resort fee. An “executive” cabin is hyperbole for the historic structures that have been there for years. However, the resort is a pleasant and convenient place to base.

It is a gem and the view from our room was unbelievable. The indoor pool is large and hot tub is excellent. A little chlorine smell, but not that bad. Water tasted salty, so maybe they use both salt and chlorine. I swam for about an hour and a half, because it was so much fun. Room ceilings are very high and furnishings are luxurious. I loved everything about this hotel. They have a large community sitting area that is very nice. We had a quaint patio on the first floor looking out over the fantastic Bluff scenery. There is a resort fee of $15, but well worth it. Breakfast is very nice. The family seating tables are a little weird. I noticed everyone tried to sit on the ends of the long tables. Maybe a Mormon thing? I've never seen it before. Chairs could be a little farther apart. That is a very small complaint compared to all the great things about this hotel/resort. I wanted to stay longer and will be back to stay again as soon as I can. When in town, don't miss going to the fort. When you drive by on the highway, it doesn't look like much, but it is a "must see." It was a gem on our trip. They have three short films about who settled the area and it's a very unique method. I don't want to give it away, but when you walk into the main building ask to experience the films. What a fun time we had in Bluff. The staff at the property are super helpful. Briana is outstanding, along with Molly. Can't wait to stay again and visit the fort. Bring your own alcohol.
