Very run down and dated . Cheap coffee and cheap toiletries . Uncomfortable mattress , window wouldn't stay open . Not sure why this is classed as a hotel as it's most like a hostel . No staff on hand , very curt key handover . Have stayed before and each time it feels like it's becoming more and more run down .

Great value, only problem I had was the walls being a bit thin. Take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me!
3.4
Great location, great value for money.
Would definitely book again.

Place to put your head but don’t expect sleep. Kept awake by the snoring from above us. Next door would’ve been as well being in the room with us as the walls are so thin.
We had a bath with shower attached to taps so couldn’t even stand up. No shower curtain or anything

Was just a short minute stay , hotel wasn’t much on , room was clean, host was nice , bar not open, no food, but allowed to take something back to my room,

The hotel was friendly and welcoming, well equipped and the room was clean and functional. Parking was limited and at times I had to park away from the hotel car park.

Not better than average really

Perfect for a overnighter

The Bredalbane Arms, is definitely one of the poorest hotels I have stayed in. The level of service was poor especially on arrival where the receptionist couldn't even be bothered to get out of her chair in the office to check us in. It was sloppy and unprofessional. Our room was adequate. The hotel was able to provide an iron but no ironing board. If you are going to operate as a hotel then you also need to provide catering. We did find a lovely restaurant called The Three Lemons which was value for money and had the pizza ever

Looked clean but on deeper inspection lacked attention to detail. Staff friendly. Fine for what I needed.
3.4
Might not suit everyone due to no bar or any meals, but the website makes this clear. Works for me for a basic room.

Good

Room was basic but had everything I needed, bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was very clean with towels and toiletries supplied.
3.4
The outside of the building looks really old. But the room itself was good for one night.
3.4
Friendly and very nice hotel with wonderful room and a beautiful view.
Bar was nice as well.

The staff was helpful and had any advice we needed. The beds were comfortable and all was clean. We were very happy with this stay.

Fine for a one night stay, but don't expect much. Sash window wouldn't stay open, but a towel wedged it up enough. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Convenient location and friendly staff.

The old hotel is now a room-only hotel with no facilities, and the cost reflects that. My wee room was in the attic, up a lot of stairs (no lift) under the eaves, recently redecorated and scrupulously clean. It had a comfy bed, enough storage for me, and the cozy bathroom had a bathtub, and limitless hot water.
3.4
It was a basic room with there own off street parking a big plus as far as we are concerned. Attendant was very helpful

Great place
3.4
Fairly basic but a comfortable sleep and all you might need. Friendly service.
3.4
I would not class it has a hotel there was no restaurant or bar service available it was a room you have to go out about looking for a restaurant to eat in if you want just a stop gap then thats the place to go to.

Excellent stay

Brilliant and polite staff and helpful

Room was quite basic and had a nasty smell coming from the drains. The sink in the room didn’t work. The beds were comfortable.
Generally the property looked like it needed a refurb as the windows and doors seems quite worn.
3.4
Very nice hotel. Recommend this hotel very highly. Nothing bad to say.
3.4
Excellent value for money. Huge levels of convenience for not much cash. Especially these days. Cheap and cheerful.

Good location, staff friendly

Our only problem was the drunken piss heads knocking on doors at 01.30 am. It was like the town had a piss head convention. So we didn’t get a good nights sleep.

When we arrived the guy on reception didn't hear us as he was too busy on his phone with music, then didn't smile or show any interest. The double room was tiny with hardly any room and the bathroom was up some narrow stairs The bathroom floor wasn't flat, and the shower cubicle was really small with barely any pressure. We had to ask for a hairdryer as there wasn't one in the room and the only mirror was in the bathroom so it was impossible to style my hair while drying it. The window in the bedroom would not close properly either so it was really cold in the morning. For £73 for room only we expected more to be honest.

Excellent room, very clean, very comfy and very friendly staff. TV in the room was a decent size, not too big or small. Twin room. nice view too with it being up top. kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sucrose, milk all supplied. two decent sized mugs too, not those piddly cups. It was exactly what we needed for our trip, just a comfy place to chill on an evening and sleep in cleanliness and comfort. Room was warm enough with opening windows if we were too warm, there was a good size heater on the wall opposite the window if we had needed it. Nice size bathroom with toilet sink and shower and an extra sink in the room itself and toiletries provided.

Reception was helpful. Our room was an odd shape, but it had everything that you would expect for a stay. It's an old building with sloping ceilings and floors. They have done the best that they can. The place has character and not every room is identical which is nice.
3.4
Run down... Building almost looks derelict. Book in between 3pm and 9pm... Inside the public bar is no longer open so the place looks tired and no atmosphere.. not welcoming.
Internet didn't work and neither did the TV though the TV was rectified.

rooms very good. facilitys none exisistent, g00d value
for a dormitry hotel

The Room was basic but comfortable which isn't a bad thing. The Double room had plenty of room for a couple with a large dog and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were friendly and would come round in the morning and offer extra tea/coffee etc.
Although the food doesn't sell any food you are allowed it in the rooms and there are several stores/cafes/take-aways etc. Close at hand( mind some are closed Monday and Tuesday evenings). The Coop in the village is open until 11pm.

Great value for money

No breakfast, no bar. Basic hostel accommodation with no indication of limited facilities given beforehand !

If ever a hotel was in need of TLC, this is it. From the absence of staff, to the drab rooms and having to climb onto a chair in the attempt to open the window, this hotel fell way short of any expectations.

Good

Hotel desperately needs updating/ decorating. Windows are single glazed sash windows so noisy as my room was on front street.
