super happy with the experience, i would go again the place is super nice and the view espectacular

Resort and view was very good, service and food poor. Attention to finer details was missing which would have made a big difference ... we stayed for 2 nights ... second night we were the only 2 guests and instead of being spoilt by extra attention, at one point I had to search in order to find one of two staff members working that night. Disappointing after an 8 hour travel from San Carlos to get there in the first place.

It’s an absolute must visit if you’re in the area. The staff are just incredible, can’t say enough good things about how nice we were treated. The views are stunning and the food was even better. Thanks for making the stay to perfect!

I have lived in this area for years and this is my first time at Pacaya. Normally I go down to the other hotels on the Laguna but this time did not want to deal with the stairs going and up and down with my mother. Pacaya is a much easier access and comfortable place. And still has the most magical views and pool.

This hotel was really great. We had 2 rooms, one for the kids and one for us. Both were clean, and lovely. The include nica breakfast was delicious and the restaurant for dinner was very good. I highly recommend hiking down to the lagoon and spending some time at the laguna beach club. It was so fun!!

This is a gem of a hotel situated high up with an incredible view of the lagoon. The staff, particularly Judy and Lisette were amazing and went beyond to make our stay comfortable. Clean rooms that feel like tree house cabins with complete privacy.

Wonderful location and staff. Unfortunately, there were not many guests due to the political issues in Nicaragua.
We were treated exceptionally well!

I was looking for the place in the world where I can take some time off from super busy time at work and family. I also could not have a vacation on the beach and have to stay away from the direct sun exposure. Pacaya Lodge is a paradise...Everything you need to relax and restore your energy is here...This place is very clean, breathtaking views gives your an opportunity to embrace YOUR time and make your mind have some rest.
We had local eggs and cheese for breakfast, and mango from the garden tree for lunch... And you should try the lunch on Sunday!
Staff is very helpful, all speak English, provide every possible services you need - thank you Marvin, Judy, Maria and Master Chef... There several excursions we enjoyed. Granada - you should see it with the boat trip! And if you like to swim in the lake - no problem. There is a wonderful Beach House, you will be taking there by the driver - just book it. We booked the room in the main building. But if you like to have even more privacy - take a cottage. Have the best cup of Nicaraguan coffee on the terrace in the morning watching a most beautiful sunrise, or have a romantic dinner right near the pool (when the lights are on at night - it looks spectacular). Life is beautiful when you discover places like that!

Nice little resort with amazing views. The rooms are well-appointed with AC and hot water, spacious with nice bathrooms. The included Breakfast is good, but we found the restaurant to be overpriced for lunch and dinner. Pool is nice but the hot tub was not working. We got a great massage as well.

What an amazing place to stay in. I stayed with my wife and kids , great pool looking over the lagoon, prices are all in dollars so youre not getting the local low priced meals but food is great , and everyone has been super nice. It is a beautiful facility .

My husband and I have been to 18 countries around the world, and well over 50 cities. Pacaya Lodge and Spa was one of the nicest facilities we've ever been to, and the staff offered the best service we've ever found at a hotel. The views are unbelievable -- absolutely jaw-dropping from multiple points around the property. The restaurant on-site serves fantastic food. We ate there literally every meal on the trip, and we never got tired of it. If you are looking for total relaxation on a trip, this is it. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have an unforgettable vacation, tailored around your specific needs. It's truly paradise here at Pacaya Lodge, and we can't wait to go back!

Hotel grounds are excellent. View from my room was exquisite. I spent most of our stay out on the balcony of our room filling my mind with peacefulness and stunning view of nature, the lake/lagoon and volcano. The restaurant, rest of hotel, and staff, equally excellent. I made myself to memorize their names: Judy Mae at front desk, Raul at restaurant and luggage handling, Phillip at administration, Don Manuel, a wonderful gentleman at room service. All of them made our stay pleasantly unforgettable.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this hotel is!! The staff was so courteous and attentive... The hotel grounds were beautifully kept... The room was immaculate... The views were breathtaking!!! They allowed my daughter, who is a yoga instructor in the US to give a class to the local girls of the neighborhood, obviously that was amazing to us since we felt that overwhelming feeling of love towards the girls who were there doing training from a nearby academy!! And all this on the edge of a volcano crater that has been filled with water and now is being used as a recreational water hole!! Worth every penny!! We will Definately be back!!!

Great construction craftsmanship! Great staff! Needs more lounge chairs by pool.

Arrival and reception a the facility was pleasing and as expected. Issues began with the shower in the rooms. These were not constructed correctly and I am surprised they even attempted to open the facility in this condition. The problem was the shower area was not curbed to keep the water in. Essentially it was flat tile floor with a drain in a slight depression. Within two minutes of running the shower the water was heading under the glass enclosure and was flooding the entire bathroom and into the bedroom area. Surely the staff knew this would happen when they placed us into these rooms. My husband and I cleaned up the mess using room towels. My adult sons in an adjacent room were not quite as attentive as we were and did not notice the water until it had completely flooded the bathroom and part of the bedroom. My sons viewed two other rooms all constructed the same until finally they were placed in one of the cabin rooms with properly constructed showers. My husband and I notified the front desk the next day and were told we could use the shower and a cleaning staff would mop the floors - not a good idea unless you are intent on ruining your facility with flooded floors. They did not offer us a new room and we did not insist on receiving one a new room. The next day we dammed up the shower area with towels and all was fine - were only there two nights anyway.
The one other disappointment was the amount of time to get any meals served - 1.5 to 2 hours.
