No fridge, no microwave, no restaurant only breakfast, no place to buy anything, no elevators but good staff and very clean the only bad was the pool that did lock clean

This is a really nice property, but for me a pool is very important when I stay at a resort. The pool water was cloudy and not very appealing/inviting. The area around the pool itself was great.

Nice and modern hotel- beautiful location!

Service was top notch, Wendy especially went over and beyond to help us receive a package even after we left the hotel. The location was perfect for a true tranquil getaway, the food was really good and reasonably priced and the room was spacious with nice balcony. Poolside lounging was perfect after the hike to Las Grietas which was a short 10 minute walk away.

First, the staff is so helpful and kind!
The thing we were less enthusiastic about was that it was very difficult to get basic toiletries like soap, clean towels or shampoo. We had to repeatedly ask.

Because the ferry's were overbooked we had to spend a night in Santa Cruz. Thankfully Palo Santo had rooms. This is a very neat hotel on the opposite side of the bay. You have to take a sea taxi to get to it. The breakfast was tasty and the room was crisp and clean. We swam and chilled out by the pool prior to our departure - the perfect way to end our Galapagos excursion!

Upon booking, was not apprised that hotel was involved in a dispute; locals disclosed this. The hotel has potential, but it is not living up to it. First, unfortunate reality: Upon arrival, found staff lacking; there was no bell staff and we had to haul our luggage from the water taxi to the hotel and up stairs to our rooms; there was no elevator. Front desk was unmanned during the hours as represented and none of the staff were uniformed or wore name tags. There is a restaurant on-site and a bar; neither was staffed. We accessed both for glasses, etc. We were not provided wi-fi in our rooms; access to internet through US-based cell service (i.e., hot spots) was limited due to internet accessibility. The business center was not set up; we went to a store across the bay to print tour information (for a fee). The person assigned to assist at check-out indicated she was not able to access the internet to process the credit card payment, after several attempts with a hand-held device. The level of hospitality and services was not what was expected. On the positive: we stayed in suites which were roomy. When the refrigerator stopped working, the repairs/replacement were made within a day. There was one person on-site daily and he was attentive to feedback. We liked the location--it was quiet, and close to Las Grietas and two other nice restaurants.

Beautiful estate. This hotel is located by Finch Bay. Once you get to Puerto Ayora, you need to take a water taxi to Finch Bay. 80 cents during the day, $1- after 7pm. Water taxi comes every 5-10mim. Once you have 3-4 ppl on board and wait about 4min, it start moving. It takes about few minutes to Finch Bay. This Finch Bay is by Playa de Los Alemanes. “German Beach” as you can read lots of German settlers. According to the local, after World War 2, lots of German came to Galapagos and hide around the area. The very first one was supposed to be extradited but he passed away before that. The locals call the area of German.
This property is own by very well known person in Ecuador. They built about 5 years ago but because of the neighbor ( Playa de los Alemanes) oppositions they could not operate. Many locals know what happened to the property, and they are not happy about the situation. Made us very upset what they went through because of the neighbors.
This is a very modern and beautiful property, just need few TLC.
Once you get off at Finch Bay, keep walking straight, up and down the hill, you pass the white building, then you see a pond, make a right there, you will see the hotel. It’s less than 5 minutes walk, very romantic.
The room is very large, nice swimming pool, walking distance to the quiet beach.
The staff, all of them are very nice. Away from the noisy town, this is a gem!
