Really Nice and friendly host, charming authentic room in the old city.
A bit difficult to find, However a good nametag when we found the right door a few metres away. And the host was also looking for us.
Also very helpful with transport to the airport (taxi, 28 €) for a very early flight.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. They met me at an accessible location near the B & B.
Pointed out good restaurants in the local area and must see attractions .
As we had a late flight they looked after my bags and helped to book a taxi.

The location of this B&B is perfect for access to the varied sites of Bari. Bari had been a stop over (2 nights) following a trip around southern Italy and I was not expecting to particularly go overboard about the town itself. However, I was surprised to find that I infact did just that! The old town is a web of higgledy-piggledy streets with a surprise around every corner. Little back roads leading to a catholic shrine, a stunning church, a square to sit and chill and of course the stunning coastline. The property we stayed in was a fair microcosm of the city it lives in. Our appartment was on two floors joined by a steep spiral staircase which then continued up to another room and eventually to the terrace where we were served breakfast (and where tortoises and turtles were also housed!) Artwork by the host Francesco hung on our walls and throughout the sprawling property. There was a fridge and a collection of cups and odd bits of cutlery. The property was quaint and quirky. Certainly not however, for the mobility-impaired! What I enjoyed most was the open nature of the culture - a real step back in feeling to where people really do leave their doors (wide) open and sit outside chatting/playing cards with their neighbours. We saw women making the traditional orcchiette (ear-shaped) pasta and men mending fishing nets. The modern part of the city was also a joy providing great architecture and the feel of a vibrant working city in which one could imagine a life

This little B & B is tucked away in a walled vintage city known as San Nicola and the big church is nearby. It was constructed in the 11th century and you can see that walking through the portico. Finding the location for this B&B is simple and thanks to a helpful neighbor lady, the owner’s attention was obtained to let us enter. The picture included is the inside of the main entry doorway. It looks like you have stepped into a cave!
WARNING: If you have issues with stairs be careful here. There is a flight of circular stairs going to each of the two floors above the office area. He owner was helpful and assisted us with our luggage up those stairs. I’m 6 foot and had to duck to miss the next flight of stairs.
The bed was very hard, almost as a futon cushion on wood slats. If that is how you like your bed, you’re golden.
Breakfast is as requested by the questionnaire you fill out daily and is brought either to your room or to the terrace. We did not go onto the terrace because of the weather when we were there. The owner assisted us with a special request that he certainly didn’t have to do. It’s a nice little spot to stay.

This place is excellent. I was only sorry that we stayed just one night. I would go back for sure. The owners were warm and helpful, offering recommendations and even helping us get to the entrance of the port which is kind of a mess. Side note: the ferry itself is fairly comfortable, but the port and check-in process is chaos. They also let us leave our luggage all day and provided a front door access key after we checked out since we took the night ferry to Dubrovnik. The room itself was very nice, only the shower was a bit tight. There is original artwork by the owner all around that I liked and adds a creative touch. The rooftop terrace complete with sweet tortoises offers a beautiful view, and we were very pleased with the breakfast. We were quite taken with Bari. It has a beauty different from anywhere we'd been in Italy. My boyfriend has been all over Italy but never to Puglia, and I had only been to a few other Italian cities, but we are eager to return and explore Puglia. The food is amazing and so fresh. We were also tickled by the authentic old-worldness of the old city around this B&B with its narrow streets and groups of people sitting around an open door, no smartphones, just chatting or playing cards and watching people go by. When you've seen the old city, a short walk away is a very modern part with trendy restaurants and shopping that feels like a different city. If you are thinking of going to Bari, go, and stay at this place!

Great location in historic area. Unique experience. Congenial, solicitous host. Had difficulty using cell phone to advise host of impending arrival.

A great location in the old town, friendly hosts and a decent breakfast is included. The central city and railway station are about 20-25 minutes walk. The room is spacious and clean and there is a roof deck with views. The only warning I would give is the steep stairs, be aware of this if you have giant baggage or mobility issues.

The room was pretty small but had everything you need for a short staying. The owner was very nice and gave very good and usefull informations about the city. Besides all that the location of the hotel is just great, near the most important places of the old city.
