The hosts were very accommodating, the atmosphere was very ‘historical’ and comfortable, the room was pleasant, the location was just a block from town, the breakfast was delicious.

This place is absolutely amazing! Matt the owner was very friendly, helpful & informative. Matt told us that as far as he knew most of the furniture was original to the hotel. This place was built in 1902. The beds are not from this time period and that is a good thing. The one that we had was firm. The back yard is amazing with plants, swings, outdoor chairs & a hot tub. One of the best surprises for us were the three dogs that live on the property. All are very well behaved & mind their manors. We had breakfast every morning prepared by Matt & his wife. We had a great stay!

Matt was fantastic! Comfy and yummy breakfast. A wonderful place to stay in this awesome mining town.

Sure! Here's a slightly refined version:
Our stay at the historic inn was absolutely wonderful. Matt and Mick were incredibly warm and hospitable, making us feel like we were staying with family. Our room was cozy, and the bed was SO comfortable. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was always kept impeccably clean. One of the highlights was the home-cooked breakfast with Mocha and the pups. We spent much of our free time lounging in the private yard, which had a hot tub, dining space, and fire pit. Finally, the inn is pet-friendly, which was a HUGE bonus since we were traveling with our dog.

Excellent check-in provided by Matt.

Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Amazingly preserved old west home feel to this historic hotel. Laid back and dog friendly. Me and my wife really enjoyed ourselves.

What a gem of a place! Jessica and her husband were running the place for her parents. They were really attentive and friendly. My only complaints are the pillows were a bit stiff for my liking, and claw foot tubs are not meant to be showers.

A lovely place in a lovely town. Nice breakfast and excellent hosts. Wouldn't hesitate a second to come back here.

Great historic place in a cool moose optional town

One of the most unique properties I have ever stayed in. An old Victorian in a classic setting of America. The home is classic itself as though one is staying their grandmothers home with attention to amenities of comfort and a welcoming attitude.

The Charm of this Historic Old Building. And the owners were awesome.

The Alma House was FANTASTIC! My wife is pretty much the litmus test for all hotels in the world. AND this was the BASE from which all hotels will be measured from this day forward. The location, the atmosphere, the appointment of each room speaks how well this B&B is cared for. We’ve stayed across the country and across the UK and The Alma House was by far her favorite. We always travel with our 3 Yorkies, and even they were welcome, Mocha says hi! Thanks again for a great stay, we WILL be back!

If you are in Silverton for any reason, this is the place to stay. Matt was an exceptional host - welcoming, enjoyed talking about the area both present and historical, and makes a masterful breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable with old time charm and furnishings. Common areas to catch up or read a good book.

This was a nicely maintained, historic property, and was quiet and cozy while we were there. Our host, Matt, was friendly, gregarious, and helpful. Breakfasts were fine in terms of quantity but fairly basic and unremarkable with respect to the cuisine.

Host was great. Beautiful historic hotel

We loved the service, hot tub, breakfast, quite! Wish there was an ice machine and or in room fridge. Also the comforter on the bed was way too hot.

This is a small bed and breakfast that was built in 1898 (I believe that is what he said) and it has all the charm with its old fashioned furniture. The innkeeper was courteous and very sweet, showing me around despite it being fairly late at night. I would come again just to have the ambience. I took the third floor which was a floor all to myself.

We really enjoyed the history and coziness of the home. It felt like a home away from home.

Cute B&B, great service and extremely friendly. Mocha the golden retriever was marvelous as a co host.
