Comfortable room. Fun to check out Sturgeon Bay and drive north to the quaint towns in Door County!

First, I absolutely love this inn. Even though the first level is an active restaurant, the entire facility is still charming and comforting. Second, we loved the location with easy access to main roads and walkability to other restaurants, gas stations, coffee, etc. We were able to stay out of the hustle and bustle of the Fall Fest in Sister Bay and enjoy our quiet space while easily accessing a ton of fun spots. Our only issue were the beds. My bedding was stained with a couple different substances. Additionally, both the mattresses were terribly hard. We didn't sleep much because our backs and shoulders hurt. I won't let the bed quality keep me from returning, but I will consider packing additional blankets/padding because there is zero give on the mattresses. It was like sleeping on the ground.

Was very nice.

White Birch Inn truly feels like a hidden gem. While the rooms show some age and the carpets could use an update, they are nonetheless well-maintained and comfortable. One of the highlights of our stay was the Inn's prime location—less than 30 minutes from several major parks and attractions, making it perfect for exploring the area. Our rooms were conveniently located above Samuelson’s Creek Pub & Grill, which served some of the best food we had in Door County. Our waitress, Heidi, was not only excellent at her job but also incredibly knowledgeable about the local area, offering great tips. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would happily stay at the White Birch Inn again.

We had a nice time. Food was excellent. Very large room. One chair in the room was in need of repair. Had an issue with the tv and maintenance was there very quickly and fixed it. All staff members were very nice.

Nice inn. Needs updating. Tubs could’ve been cleaner but the rest of the room was nice. Staff is helpful. Quiet while we were there.

What a wonderful peaceful QUIET place to stay. Has to be the quietest place we have ever stayed. Great food at the restaurant. The chicken Alfaro soup is a must. Only thing I would change is a bowed shower curtain for a little bit more room.

Definitely no frills, but outstanding nonetheless. Very friendly, easy check in, safe and convenient. Would stay here again.

The Inn was very charming and safe. Need to be mindful of conditions of things like towels and bed covers. A towel and a bed cover had holes in them. Overall staff was great and would highly recommend.

It is obvious that this crew values courtesy, as they tend to every detail of a guest's stay:)

Enjoyed our stay here! Appreciated that they were pet friendly and close to cute downtown Sturgeon Bay. Could have used some shampoo in the bathroom but we brought some anyway!

No microwave in room, fridge was very small, limited channels. Room was clean. Average size room. Outdated but comfortable.

Our room was so spacious and clean! Very nice and loved the food at the restaurant! Such excellent flavors! The staff was all very friendly and attentive!

When you walk in there is no one there to great you. Felt like I was an inconvenience when found someone. Place was quiet except for Friday night the restaurant was busy. Bed was comfy room adequately clean and stocked. Wished I’d had booked closer to the little towns so we could have walked instead of driving so much (my bad).

The rooms were considered historic. The beds were OK. The towels were great however, there was a fainting couch that was grungy and should be removed. A small table and a couple of chairs would have been much more preferred. There were only two rooms on the main floor. Everything else was upstairs. No elevator. No breakfast but coffee and juice. Basically, no Wi-Fi signal. The restaurant Samuelson's was delicious however it is closed Sunday and Monday night.

Quiet location in sturgeon bay. Older property.

Quaint, vintage, clean, simple. Not for a smell-sensitive person. Smells from kitchen fill up entire place.

The White Birch Inn for the most part was adequate. Room was clean, had enough toiletries and towels and no disturbances to note. With
that being said, the building was dated. Our bathroom faucet had problems, the shower was clogged, the room had a window air conditioner that was extremely loud all night and not that its a major issue for some, but there was no elevator. If you have heavy items to carry up and down, its tricky if your room is on the second floor.

Room had odor when we checked in and a/c was not effective enough. Had to open windows to get rid of the odor. Maybe it was something temporary. Other than that it is an ok inn.

Rooms are not sound proof and the doors get sticks on the carpet. We did find some ants in our room but this place is by a lots of trees. It was cute and the restaurant inside of it has great food.

White Birch Inn is amazing!! Truly the old school resort with all the modern comforts!! They helped correct the hotels.com reservation mistake (number of adults vs children) very quickly and efficiently. The on-site restaurant and bar was fantastic!!!! Delicious food!!

This is a very old property with lots of potential. The setting is very nice. The rooms are clean but very outdated. The restaurant hours were limited therefore we did not have an opportunity to eat there. We did stop for a drink at 8pm and they reluctantly decided to serve us but the apparent owner was rude about it. They turned away a family of five. I don't think I would stay again but it served our purpose at the time.

We had a great time here! It was cozy and close to everything. We will definitely be back!

Tjis is the second time we've stayed at White Birch Inn. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. It's just dated and could use a refresh. The outside could really use some power washing too.

We were pleasantly surprised. We weren't really sure what to expect, but it was warm and welcoming, and even though we had a dog, we had easy access from the parking lot to our room upstairs. The staff was very welcoming and we had an excellent time. We ate in the dining room both nights of our stay and the food was delicious. Two thumbs up to the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

It was a cute little place to stay not crazy busy

No staff on premises, no ice available.

Our room was spotless, ultra, clean, and a taste of an earlier time. Not fancy at all. We just wanted a quiet place to sleep. In addition, we lucked out with a beautiful view of the birch trees upfront that were just beginning to change. Each morning the view got slightly more beautiful as the trees were changing.

It was quiet and quaint. Our room had a very musty smell though.

We were happily surprised at the size and look of our room. Though we have a walk up 2nd floor, it was no problem. The outside of the building was not great, but the room and warm feeling inside made up for it.

It's a very quaint, clean rooms and easy check in. As everywhere in the country they are short staffed. With that taken into consideration it was a pleasant stay.

It was clean & staff was pleasant when we saw them.
Usually, we didn't see any staff by the office in the afternoon.

The Inn on the whole fit the bill. quiet, clean and two full beds as described. Amenities were adequate and there were a lot of signs explaining how the Inn is run. The need for signs is evident since there was not a soul in sight most of the time to provide any service. The outside was cleaned up in areas however it looked like a hobby farm and boat storage in areas. There was a gentleman sleeping on a couch in the back lobby when we entered. We took the suggestion of going to Robertson's Orchard to pick apples which was a treat.

Rooms were quiet the air conditioner worked. We stayed in one the antique rooms. Very charming and unique. Also the restaurant on the first floor was very good.

To be fair we were there in mid September, the off season. Having said that, the staff was really not around. Checkin with the bartender of the attached restaurant. There were virtually no amenities other than a coffee and juice machine in the lobby, and the coffee was extremely weak, almost brown water. When we did find someone to talk to about that, nothing changed. The rooms were large and clean, the water pressure in the shower was terrible, and the shower was small. The door was so tight on the carpet at the bottom we could only open the door one third of the way. The inn is situated among apartment buildings, so no view. We will not be staying again. Barely acceptable.

The hot tub suite was great. Impeccably clean and a very comfy bed. Super nice staff, too.

Friendly service and people! But no room service unless you stay four days! And out needs a good cleaning.
