This is a motel, the windows in the room were locked closed and could not be opened, they were filthy; the pool gate could not be opened, and the staff didn’t know how to? Reception was cold and unfriendly

Fantastic as always…!

We had the best buffet meal. The salads were amazing and the mains were beautiful. Highly recommend the buffet meal. The Motel rooms were clean, spacious, quiet, and ample parking but the rooms are old and could do with an update.

Arrive earlier as we thought there is restaurant for lunch but couldn’t find anyone, gate was locked, phoned but no answer, we stay for awhile and finally the staff came in. Even though we were there to early (12:30pm) should have someone or note to instruct us. Anyway other than the check in drama, all was well.

Property was clean and very quiet. The Queen size bed felt more like a double bed. Had dinner at the restaurant and the buffet was not bad for the price.

Clean and comfortable room. Great to know they lock the gates at night and we could park outside our room. Dinner was delicious. Great place to stay for an overnight trip.

No information given at check in, we only found the food sheet for ordering breakfast lunch etc this morning when packing up. Room clean but very dated with stains on carpet and bedding, lights not working properly, air con remote not working, sharp piece sticking out on one of the chairs. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and a lovely hot shower. Plenty of tea and coffee and milk and really appreciated the bottled water. Overall would stay again

Good option for a one-night’s stay in the way to Coral Bay. Had the family room and it was spacious enough for our family of 4. Carnarvon itself is a bit hit and miss but definitely charming on a sunny Saturday morning during the farmers market.

Good for an overnight stay, reception staff friendly and welcoming! Dated room, but overall good.

Very helpful check-in reception that allowed for storage of our luggage when we arrived early off the bus from Perth which we were very thankful for.
We like to spread around the money we spend, especially in regional towns so we had meals at the Port hotel, the Carnarvon hotel and a booking at the Hot Rock at the Carnarvon motel. The Port hotel has its own history in formerly belonging to the now retired federal Liberal MP. (Ironbar) Wilson Tuckey. More information on this at the nearby Carnarvon Space Museum.
Unfortunately, by the time we arrived at the Hot Rock for our evening meal just after 7PM, all the main courses had sold out leaving us with only the salad bar option. Though the restaurant is family friendly and it being school holidays with lots of kids running around, just being kids, we decided this ambience was not to our liking and we gave the Hot Rock a miss and we went back to the Port for a quiet evening meal.
Would definitely stay again, bearing in mind it was extremely busy at this motel and the wait staff at the restaurant were clearly run off their feet.

I liked the restaurant, how close the motel was to Woolworths and the high fence surrounding the property to keep my stuff safe

Spacious clean rooms and hard working team. Basic provisions in the room for meals- bar fridge/freezer, microwave. No crockery/ cutlery except for hot drink items. Good shower with hot water. Very comfy bed. Had a great buffet meal at the restaurant. Walkable to town. Secure parking. Good amenities for families- pool, playground and arcade games. Good stop on your way up/down.

Cockroaches in our initial room- ( one was massive )and had a load of baby ones scuttling around the room- seemed to have come out from under the fridge which had a sticky floor around it) we were moved to another room but sink basin and toilet old and tired in the new room with unhealthy cracks around the plug hole. We stayed through necessity as it was late and we had kids with us.
The pool was much much smaller than the picture depicts but kids enjoyed it.
The restaurant was overpriced (AUD 38) for lasagne! With Formica tables and stained carpet. We ended up at a fast food chain as a better, more affordable option.

My room was clean & tidy but there was no heating only AC that blew cold air. There were no plates or cutlery only two bamboo spoons. This made it hard to eat anything in my room. I know there was a restaurant on site but not everyone can afford to eat there.
