Fabulous restaurant with wonderful seafood. Quiet motel room with comfortable bed and balcony.

At first glance the Inn had great curb appeal, and who could fault the view of the St Lawrence! The receptionist was really welcoming and ourselves being non French speaking as able to help us in what was needed. Our room had a great view and the bed really comfortable. I like that the furniture was antique looking and made the room feel like your own bedroom. The street it is on is pretty quite and I had a great walk to see the restoration of the water front that is happening. The properties are beautiful and the area well kept. We had dinner and breakfast in the Inn, excellent food and excellent service. Out server was great at helping us through the menu and overall we would not hesitate in returning.

Easy to get to. Plain simple rooms right on the St Lawrence river. We had the patio door open for fresh air and the sound of the waves. Coffee was available at 600 am at the front desk. We did not stay for breakfast which starts at 800 am. We were expecting to eat at the restaurant but it was closed on Monday night. Had to drive 10 min into town to eat. Great value would stay there again.

Beautiful location!

Standard value motel. The room had a nice balcony and view. The cleanliness was standard. Originally I had booked for a room with bath and shower, but due to an issue with their reservation system, we received one with a shower only. I didn’t bother to contest this the next day. The restaurant was quite overpriced for the quality of the cuisine, although the use of local ingredients was nice. The serving staff was friendly, although I speak French. I am unsure how my experience would have been if I were a tourist who did not. (However one of the staff, a young server at the restaurant, did offer to speak to us in English if we desired, which was refreshing as a customer of the motel). However, apart from that the stay was ok.

As you walk in the main area/ lobby is very boutique and rustic. Staff were friendly and we were mostly able to get through with their limited English.
We were asked if we wanted to book dinner which we declined as we wanted to drive into town and check out the area which has a beautiful little Main Street with tons of restaurants. I did however head the food is good at this place.
Our room however was much to be desired. Everything was old, beds were terrible, paint peeling, out toilet clogged but we were able to fix it ourselves, the tv was teeny, no fridge, the balcony chairs where old and dirty, the drapes were ripped, the porcelain in the sink was chipped and the tapped dropped constantly. The old carpet was gross. We could hear everything next door to us even the man snoring at night.. that’s after the kids heard the hanky panky.. lucky he didn’t last too long!
The view was beautiful and it was nice unset and sunrise. And parking was free and plenty. The drinks at the bar was good.. especially the spicy margaritta.
We would not recommend or go back until they do a full renovation because the property has a lot of potential.
I stayed in the motel side, not sure how the other areas are.

Super location on the St-Lawrence, comfortable, nice staff, lovely dining room and food with view on the water.

The room with the patio is worth it for the view alone. But we arrived on a Monday and their restaurant is closed so we had to drive to town. Not a huge deal bc we found amazing local pizza place and a salad from IGA to sit on our deck and watch the sunset.
Beds were fine & the space was adequate for what we needed. Note - they don’t have great toiletries so make sure I have ur own!
Also absolutely no early access - we popped by just to check and the front desk staff were very clear that we couldn’t have access to the room until 4pm.

It was good but little hot and old. But staff were very friendly

I like the location on the water. Very relaxing. The rooms are in the old style, I was hoping to have a small fridge in the room as the weather was very hot. No air conditioning

Beautiful property and location. No A/C in rooms which made it hard to sleep.

We could hear the people snoring in the next room. Cracks on the wall and ceiling. Water temperature keeps changing in the shower. The lady at the reception wouldn't allow us to check in early even though the room was ready. It caused a line-up of people at 4:00 p.m. Great view from the small balcony though. No fridge in the room. It would have been nice to have one. The TV screen was put on a small table and it was too low to be able to watch it from the bed.

stayed in a ground level room and had the patio doors open up to the St.Lawrence river. what a spectacular view, smell and sounds.
the room is large and clean but could be modernised. i liked the kichenette though.

Pretty rooms newly renovated right on the St Lawrence. The restaurant however is overpriced for what tou get with few options. Charging for bread is rather stingy!

Beautifully appointed by the River, brand new remodelled motel unit. Small room, no fridge. If you dine with them it is very pricey.

The food was absolutely fabulous. We were at very expensive restaurants in Quebec city but the chef here was better. Also the view from the dining room outstanding

Nice boutique hotel. Beautiful spot. The music from the restaurant was way too loud. We could hear it through the floor and it kept us up.

The location of the Motel’s room front of the sea very nice. Bed sheets be white and clean room although a bit old building accommodations are fine
Dinner at April good but fees 4$ for 1 mini bread ridiculous! Fish of the day salmon very good and dessert with strawberries of season super!
Love this aera and village of Notre Dame du Portage by the sea. Nice discovery for me!

The common areas were gorgeous and cozy. The restaurant was amazing and you should definitely eat there.. big portions and great taste. The location was beautiful. The rooms are very basic, but at this price it's what you'd expect.
However, the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor, you can hear the people in the next rooms as if they were in your room. In addition, the second night we were there, there was a huge amount of noise coming from the restaurant. We had to go down and ask them to turn down the music. Then there was banging and crashing for about an hour and the sound of something, (vacuuming?) after the restaurant closed. We got a very poor sleep that night. The staff of the restaurant have to be more aware of how much noise they make... maybe leave the heavy cleaning until daytime hours?

The setting is great .
The rooms were very clean but also extremely basic .
The restaurant was excellent .
The WiFi never worked , this coupled with terrible phone reception made the stay challenging .

We loved our stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice old inn, which you see in the pictures. However, when you book a room, you'll probably be in a small room in the old motel next to the beautiful inn. Regardless, I would stay here again. Fantastic view and for a very reasonable price. Great friendly and welcoming staff. There is a restaurant and small lounge on site. Nice, but a pricey menu.

Amazing views and sunset on St Lawrence. Superb restaurant. Excellent duck confit.

This property is situated on the StLawrence river and has a great view. Staff was very friendly. Our room was situated over the kitchen which was a bit annoying. Some early morning noise and constant smells (most of them delicious).

Location was great...so was food at the restaurant. But the initial contact with wait staff and restaurant responsible person was unacceptably bad.

Really nice hotel out of town on the river. Dated but charming.
Dinner was elegant but not fabulous. My duck was over cooked and dry. Breakfast buffet was much better!

Great stay, amazing view of the sunset and the food was spectacular!
