Great stay- family was happy! Just there is an echo in the rooms and it was a little noisy when family passed in halls - it was very busy

The place was nice and very convenient location. Staff was friendly and helpful.

1. We checked-in to a room that had no door lock on it and the shower head was broken and had not been fixed yet. We were given another room.
2. There was a chicken bone, eaten clean, on the floor in the hallway near the room.
3. The bartender on Friday night was very nice and accommodating.
4. The bathroom in the lobby was clean.
5. The room and bathroom was clean.
6. The bed was comfortable.
7. There were hardly any Christmas decorations. That was disappointing.
8. The guy serving breakfast on Sunday did not give off a feeling of being happy with his job.
9. There was a disturbance next door to us, hotel staff came up quickly to see about it.
10. Breakfast could include biscuits and bacon. The juice machine was broken.

I have always wanted to stay at this hotel when I come to town for Christmas festival but it wasnt exactly all I dreamed of. It’s a beautiful property & the staff was pretty helpful but the Bathroom in my room was not very clean, dirty in fact. Hair everywhere in shower & on the floor. There was also No hair dryer in room. There was some holes in the bed sheets. Idk, the breakfast was nice. The lobby & property was pretty.

The check in process was slow, overall nice hotel. I did not get that customer service was their focus.
I also had to pay an additional fee to cover the wifi, breakfast and other amenities advertised. This was charged even though I made my purchase through hotels.com. I though I was getting a decent price however probably paid more than if I would have just booked directly.

Hotel needs to be cleaned painted updated very disappointed. The cleanses was not there at all. Whoever cleaned our room did a very poor job. Call downstairs and complained told me housekeeping was gone for the day. They will send up sheets so I can put on myself very very disappointed, someone should inspect rooms when they are supposedly ready

I have not received the incidental charges on my credit card of $20.82, on 10-29, and $21.45, on 11-4. I did not incur ant incidental charges.

Did not receive the room/king bed, or view "historic" I booked and paid for. They told me it was my fault since I booked same day. The room was fine if it was what you asked for. The view was of the modern event center. I took a picture to the front desk and asked if this was an "historic" view. They said that designation just meant buildings. Very misleading. Then, the 2nd day they invalidated our keys and we had to stop to get them reprogrammed. Next was a building wide power failure. Fortunately, we were not the ones on the elevator. The response of the staff was effectively "meh", until I said my dissatisfaction would be reflected in my review. By then it was too late to do anything. I won't be back and cannot recommend.

The room we stayed in was filthy. There was hair and dirt in the shower and on the bathroom floor. After our shower our feet carried the dirt into the bedroom. There was no toilet paper when we first got into the room. The eggs and sausage were cold. The listing said free parking and breakfast. When we arrived we were charged $21 for a resort fee. When I asked what that was for I was told that covered breakfast, parking and use of the fitness room. The staff was pleasant and the location was good.

the room was clean but the ceiling had a large leak in the past and needed to be painted.

The hotel is conveniently located near the historic downtown section on Natchitoches. Restaurants & shopping on Main Street along with beautiful views of Cane River are only a a few steps away.

It was very nice, close to front street, easy walk ability.

Anytime we come to Natchitoches, we prefer staying here for the ambiance and nostalgia. I was so disappointed in our hotel room. There was a blood smear on the wall, hair in the shower, no hand soap. None of the shower amenities were labeled so we didn’t know what to use? And the room had a strong smell of sewer!! This place is too beautiful to go down so poorly!! I would not recommend staying here until the repairs are complete and the staff is properly trained!

The staff is very friendly, location is amazing and we had a great stay!!!

I was expecting more and was very disappointed. This is just an average hotel at best. Staff was very helpful, when they weren’t on their phones. Breakfast was just barely average. There was hair on the clean (supposedly clean) towels. The floor needed moping. With that said I asked the front desk to bring me something we out of, which housekeeping should have supplied when the room was cleaned, they were knocking on my door in less than six minutes. That was impressive. Unless you have a meeting here or some other reason to stay. I would suggest you pick somewhere else and go to IHop for breakfast.

I enjoyed the stay, I always do. I would suggest reading the notes people place in the comments. I requested a first floor room due to health issues and was placed on a higher floor. We explained and the young lady kindly switched us to a first floor room, and we were grateful for her kindness. I also had to go to the front desk to get face towels because there wasn't enough in the room for 2 people. Minor things I can live with, and I will always be a repeat customer when I visit the area.

Liked the location of property. A/C leaking on floor.
Got charged for 2 rooms.

Neat old hotel. Still great condition. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was great and all employees as good as they get

We specifically asked for a room with a bathtub but did not get one. The front staff did not provide us with times for breakfast or the WiFi password. The shower and the floors in the room were filthy.

EXCELLENT STAY..!!

I probably would have given it five stars but the main reason I booked it was because of the on site lounge but it was closed as was a good share of downtown that was walking distance. I guess that’s the price you pay for staying on Labor Day.

Hotel security needs to be enhanced greatly. Customer service training needs to be given although everyone was very nice, they just didn’t understand how to best serve the customer. The property was clean and fairly well maintained but hotel ingress and egress needs to be more secure and monitored.

I didn't like that there was only plastic cups in the room which, from previous experience, would have melted if I'd tried to make coffee in it. It also appeared as if the room hadn't been throughly cleaned as there was something sticky all over the nightstand I had to clean.
The courtyard could have jasmine, bougainvillea and gardinias to capture that new Orleans feel you're trying to accomplish.
Great addition to the City and opportunity to be in the heart of Natchitoches!

I stayed here with my baby. He somehow unplugged the A/C while i wasn't looking. Maintenance came right away and helped us. Everyone was very polite. Breakfast was great. Very good grits. We will definitely come back

This is our hotel of choice when we visit Natchitoches so it pains me to admit that our stay this time wasn’t the best. I’ll start by saying that I was a bit under the weather so that may have been part of it. The AC worked, but never got as cool as we would have liked it. We’ve never had this problem here before so it’s not a deal breaker. The biggest problem was this morning. Check out wasn’t until 11, and not feeling well, I planned to sleep until 10:30. Shortly after 9ish housekeeping started working on our floor and were yelling to each other and slamming things around. We even had the do not disturb sign on the door. Will definitely stay here again, but hoping for better stays in the future.

Need more parking

I have a walking disability and the parking was almost a block away from the hotel which case me some discomfort. They had a very limited condiment store on site for soft drinks or snacks. Other than that the facility was clean and nice.

It was great!

Dislikes- need new linens and towels. Need an extra chair in room. Could be cleaner. Parking is not convenient. This is not a resort, should not be charged resort fees. Likes-hotel is spacious and staff is friendly. Convenient location.

Floor was dirty behind night stands and bed by wall
Wrong sheets were on the bed. Did not fit and would come off during sleep
People were VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY

Great last minute trip. Hotel was very nice and clean. Very quaint.

The front desk was to "busy " to help us with problem with our tv. We wanted to watch the olymipics but the tv wasn't working and when called and asked for help the girl was rude. We checked out and found a new place to spend our money.

Poor service. The room was not clean

Good experience. Hotel very comfortable and convenient to downtown restaurants

$36 a night for parking! Charged $6 for bottled water and a canned soda was $7!
I never expected a hotel 3-4 hours north of New Orleans to have these ridiculous prices.

It is a pretty and quaint hotel. It was an ok breakfast. They ran out of biscuits after 1 hour of opening. No apologies.
