The room was not warm enough to sleep even adding extra blanket I still woke up at 4.30am due to the coldness. In fact, more than half of the roommates requested extra blankets for sleeping. I changed to another small dorm after 3 freezing nights. Room temperature was better but still not good enough for a good sleep. Finally, I needed to move to another hostel and found some quality sleep.

The property provide kitchen, so we have more choices either to eat out or cook.
The owner is super friendly and helpful.

Milhouse is a piece of backpacking industry. Avenue is a big hostel, slightly quieter compared to the sister hostel Hipo, which is more party-oriented. The guests can freely move between the common spaces of both hostels, party in one, sleep in the other one.
There are several features that make Milhouse a good base for exploring Buenos Aires. The hostel organizes walking tours in various parts of the city. The guests can book tickets to events (e.g. a tango show, La Bomba de Tiempo, and many other activities). There is a travel desk at Avenue, good if you will explore Argentina further.
Another cool feature is a stripe-code sticker that you get when you check in. Easy to pay for breakfast and drinks at both Milhouse hostels, perfect during a party.
Some rooms face a patio, some face the street. Mine was towards the street and therefore noisy. One should use ear plugs. The room was shabbish, but ok. The bathroom needs a makeover.

Great social atmosphere. However if there is a party on at the hostel, be at the party or you won’t get any sleep! Awesome tours available at the hostel!

Very spacious building. Cleaners clean your room and bathroom everyday. The staff are very very very helpful and reliable. ANY QUESTIONS or if you need help just ask. In house bar and kitchen with variety of food and drinks at very cheap prices. I would highly recommend this place for a backpacker! It has a party vibe atmosphere. The location is right in the centre of the city and very close to food places all over. Train station is 2 mins walk away. They also offer walking tours to different area around Bueno Aires for a very very cheap price. I did 3 tours during my 9 day stay. I would highly recommend Gabo for the tours!

Milhouse was a great place to stay and to meet people, especially for your first time in Buenos Aires. They have activities organised all day every day, from walking tours to free tango lessons, BBQs on teh roof and trips out to concerts in the city. The staff are always smiling and friendly and are quick to offer recommendations or suggestions for your day. Each night, there is something new to do, we even watched Game of Thrones on Sunday when the last season was playing.
The kitchen facilities are pretty poor, I once ate porridge from a palstic cup with a fork, but there are so many places around to get good adn cheap food that this really doesn't matter. The place literally next door does some of the best empanadas in the city for less than £1 each!
I would only give it 4/5 stars though because after a certain point at night, they allow smoking in the common area. I then has to choose between sitting there in the smoke to spent time with the friends I made there or sitting in my room alone. I did get fed up having to wash my hair every day because it stank of cigarettes and putting my clothes on the balcony at night because they stank too bad to be in the room. I also had to send them away the the laundry before I left because they smell too bad to be put into my bag with my clean things.

By the end of your stay Milhouse feels like a family! It's such a friendly and vibrant place. Having a balcony and a rooftop was also a nice touch.

Really nice place with friendly staff. It's a hostel so you can't help who you are staying with, with we had a very pleasant experience!

This was the best value-for-money hostel we've stayed in during our 13 weeks in South America.
A bit on the noisy side if one wants to sleep early, but a fantastic clean, fresh room with lots of space, great facilities such as the roof terrace and the affordable breakfast with a huge fresh fruit salad.
Top score!

Nice hostel with a lot of social events going on. In a great location, close to everything you'll need. Big downside is the kitchen, very poorpy stocked and maintained.

Staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient.
Facilities were fine.
One of the other guests in my room puked all over the bathroom.
All. Over.
And of course did nothing to clean up. Amazingly disgusting.
But this, of course, is not fault of Hostel.
Good place to stay, convenient to many locations.

At check in it took them almost an hour to check that I have paid through Expedia . At check out they again didn't see the payment . When I talk them to call the women from the reception who already checked this on my check in . They told me they will not call her at night . Instead they held me like a hostage again for half an hour that was like a night mare

I had a bit of an issue and the staff tried to rectify it while I stayed there. Some rooms are much more comfortable than others.

Good energy, great social options, party hostel, just wasn't very clean, my sheets had some interesting stains on them. Mind you the bathroom was very clean!
Its a great building but its also a little loud.
I have stayed in hostel for about 1000 nights I would say it was really around the okay mark 5/10 - not cheap either but if you want to party its a solid option.

Good location with easy access and nice staff. Only but would be the mattress in my bunk bed. It was old, worn and kinda dirty. And the pillow was spilling it's content. Other than that it was nice with a clean feel.

A very friendly spot. They have parties every few nites and lots if local tours. The place is nice and clean. Lots of up energy around.

Very central location. Excellent staff. Great walking tours - both Gina and Esteban were wonderful, knowledgeable guides. Breakfast was reasonable. Dorm rooms and bathrooms were well-cleaned daily.

It is a youth hostel so the activities going on in the hall were great for youth. Music always being played. Not a quiet place to relax until very late at night. They offer so many tours in the city, Spanish and dance classes. Very friendly staff. But they did not tell me anything about the 21% VAT added to the bill and was going to charge me. Tourists are exempted from it. Mentioned it to them and "oh yes you are right" ! they deducted it. Breakfast is so-so. Butter, jam, bread, banana, orange, cereals, cake, hot tea, coffee and milk. Had a private room. The bed sheets were never changed. Only the bathroom was taken care of.
