although dissapointed that the fireworks was cancelled the night we arrived due to rain, the next day's incredible view of lake toya from our wide room windows more than make up for the cancelled fireworks. dinner and breakfast both buffet style is plentiful and delicious. we opted for the private baths instead that night which is so relaxing. clean and spacious room but parking is not so convenient since need to park at the hotel's designated car parking space away from the hotel - they will take you to/from hotel and carpark anyway. overall - a memorable stay

Good quality food, great location, comfortable room, big private onsen room with firework at night so romantic and also have lounge access for my room type. They have wine, beer and coffee in the lounge at 4.00-6.00pm

Beautiful hotel by the lake with easy transportation as bus stop is just across the street. buffet dinner/ breakfast provide great food and beautiful setting/arrangement. the club building guest can access Club lounger with evening wine/snacks and easy music, we enjoyed it. the onsen was good but if you can, try to book private onsen room, one session 50 minutes, great view and privacy , totally worth it with very reasonable price.

Beautiful property with a great view of the lake. Took off one star only because the room was miserably hot. Blasted AC for hours but could only bring the temp to bearable level. Even used the air filter to bring more air circulation. Wish they had a couple of fans in the room or turned on ac before our arrival when they prepared the room. Opening the window doesn’t help in the summer time. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The buffet was great. Onsen had a great view of the lake.

It’s a fantastic place to travel !
Quiet time, fresh air, comfortable room and peaceful atmosphere around the corner. You can watch the whole Toya lake firework show through your room.
I like the buffet provided. It’s high quality and the seasonal food fits my stomach very much!

This was the best food we’ve had in our entire visit to Japan, we couldn’t believe how good the dinner and breakfast buffets were. Very quiet, peaceful location with beautiful views!

The best resort that I had stayed for my Hokkaido trip. The staff is very efficient and shout out to Mr Oda (I assume) helped my dad with his stuck luggage. Love the buffet (dinner and breakfast). Also, we love the open air onsen and fireworks. This peaceful town scene and with 7-11, gas station across the resort. It is abit sad that there is limited restaurants when we are here. However, we loved the peaceful and serene feel that Lake Toya had given us. Slow down our pace for city dwellers. Hope to come back again!

Sometimes, you just need a black sheep in the service to spoil your trip. The vibe I received is that the staff provides impeccable service to their local citizens. I would like to view it that it’s the language barrier that caused a dent in the service. Apparently, it is not. Nice environment but not worth for me to visit again.

Hotel is located next to hot springs great for onsen goers as it is in the same building. Breakfast had a huge variety. Room a bit noisy as we had one facing the main entrance

I liked the convienience of shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Also the breakfast and
dinner buffet -many different delicious choices.
Onsen with the view in the same building was also great.

Nonokaze Resort is luxurious stay from the room view, spacious room, luxurious big onsen baths (outdoor bath was spectacular view of lake toya), good buffet breakfast and dinner with lake Toya view. Nice walk around the lake just outside the hotel. And night walk at the illumination tunnel nearby.

The room was very clean and spacious with a beautiful view of Lake Toya and snow capped mountains. We traveled during early April 2024. The room temperature was uncomfortable for us as it was kept too warm. We actually opened up the windows to allow some cool air in because the AC wouldn’t allow us to turn the temperature down. We also went there to enjoy the Kaiseki meal which we booked with our resort stay through hotels.com but unfortunately when we checked in at the front desk to verify, staff informed us we were booked for the buffet instead. We don’t know who is at fault regarding this matter, hotels.com website or the resort itself. This was very unfortunate as we paid the price for the Kaiseki meal during our booking. This made us very upset as this was the main reason we booked our stay at the resort. We spoke with resort staff and they stated they can verify booking with Expedia.com but not hotels.com website. We don’t know why they were not able to verify with hotels.com.

The property enjoys a superb lake side view. The lobby has a top notch HiFi setup producing high resolution music, which is a wonderful idea.

The property provided an excellent view of Lake Toya. And the roof top open public bath is magnificent. However, the check-in process was somewhat chaotic.
We accidentally left a bag of food and drinks behind. When we realized in the evening, we called the hotel and then they admitted that they found the bag. When we returned the next day to retrieve the bag, half of the items went missing. It was somewhat disappointing.

We took the shuttle from Sapporo Station. However, we had the worst reception when the shuttle bus reached the hotel. Taiwanese Chinese tourists and us, Singaporean Chinese were seated in front, we got up to alight. But before we could alight, a Japanese lady hotel staff came up the bus and gestured to us to go back to our seats, started speaking in Japanese. She then proceeded to call out Japanese names of those seated in the bus behind and they alighted to collect their luggages. After she finished calling the Japanese guests, she just alighted the bus without saying a word to all the Taiwanese Chinese guests and us, Singaporean Chinese who were left seated in the bus. We remained seated in the bus wondering what we should do. I looked at the same lady from the bus window where I was seated and gestured to her what is going on, she gave me a look that seems to say what do you want? I alighted the bus and asked her if is this Nono Kaze Hotel? She just said yes. I realised that we were being discriminated by this lady staff.
Is this how the hotel treat their foreign guests? Calling all the Japanese to alight first from the bus to be checked into hotel first and ignore the foreign guests? What happened to the "omotennashi" which Japanese takes pride in which this lady staff lacks? This is my third trip to Japan. Prior to this incident, I have enjoyed omotenashi from all the hotels I stayed including 3 star hotels. I would like the management to comment on this incident.

Check-in was wasteful of time. We arrived 11:30 am. Staff told us regular checkin time is 3 pm but we can come back at 2 pm to check in, ended up still wait till 3 pm. We could have also take the rope way tram instead of wasting the 1 hour wait. However staffs attitude were good and polite.

Beautiful view and very nice hot spring facilities. The lobby and the rooms didn’t smell clean, the linens were musty.
The hallways and elevator were so hot , air conditioning was good in the rooms.
Very disappointing food. I would not return.

The hotel is well kept with breathtaking view of lake Toya. The buffet dinner and breakfast were fantastic with a great variety options and also made to order noodles/pastas, etc. Onsen at the 9th floor and rooftop are definitely very worthwhile. The town is more on the quiet side so it is great to be there for relaxation.
