The only things needed in the room was a toilet paper rack or holder and somewhere to put shower soap. Best place to stay before hittin Julian. Liquor store convenience close by. And the best cafe in town RAMONA CAFE.♥️

This place looked okay enough for my short stay in Ramona.. but when I read the negative reviews I thought I’d still give it a chance. Turns out, we were put in the SAME room that had the blood stains on the sheets (that other customer complained about. Folks, PLEASE get new linens! Replace those gross ones you currently have. I’m in the hotel biz and can refer you to 10 companies that sell quality linens as an affordable price. This problem will most definitely cost you business. Spare a dime and upgrade your linens.

All the bad reviews on here are absolutely correct. Do not stay here at all. The bed sheets were dirty with stains, blood stains! The towels were dirty with stains on all of them! Hairs in the bathtub. Night stand felt crusty, sticky and dirty. Nothing in the room was cleaned. The floors were dirty and covered with crumbs. Bed was super uncomfortable, so stiff! The blankets were thin and terrible, it did not keep us warmed at night. This is the type of hotel homeless people get vouchers to live at. This is the type of hotel they set you up when you get out of jail. It’s a cheap motel and you get what you pay for. We could hear every footstep from the people upstairs late at night, super noisy. Stay somewhere else. The people at the front desk were nice, that was the only positive thing.

The girl at the front desk struggled with language. She didn't speak English. It was a long check in procedure, she seemed new. But she did help get the TV on in my room. Also there was a coffee maker with all the fixins with NO coffee. But there was coffee in the lobby if you asked. I appreciated that. All in all, I would give it a 6 out of 10

Check in was quick and easy. Mixed review on the room: The bed was large and comfortable, the pillows were awful and lumpy. The air con was so noisy, it sounded like a jet engine and made it hard to sleep, as well as it being positioned right next to the bed and was blowing directly on to whoever was sleeping that side of the bed. No coffee machine in the room which was disappointing. Positioned on a very busy road so traffic noise was very loud all night.

They have done a nice renovation too bad the bare minimum of coffee in room and/or office was missing. The face of AC was totally broken off. The pool needed cleaning BUT still a decent place to stay if you need accommodation especially because there isn’t much choice as they seem to be it for Ramona. Cute and functional, easy dinning and good entertainment across the street. Just expect a few hiccups.

Parking was awful. Had to carry our luggage a long way and then up some stairs. The closest stairway was closed off for maintenance. Check in was quick. Pool looked inviting but we vould not use it because there were not enough chairs for the number of people in the pool. The pool was crowded with on ten people in it. The room ws a nice size with newer furniture. Had to hold the tv remote 1 foot from the tv in order for it to work. Not conducive for watching tv in bed. The bathroom looked newly renovated but the workmanship was shoddy. The shower door would not stay closed as the rail was not installed on a level. No hooks to hang clothes while showering. No place for toiletries. Had to put them on the floor. There was a crack in the new sink. The shower had very nice tile but all of the caulking in the entire bathroom looked as though it had been done by a 5 year old. Had to put shampoo and soap on the floor outside the shower. No place for them inside. No grab bars for us older folks. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Noluggage stands for our suitcases. The room looked freshly painted and the non painted woodwork was very nice.

Small nice place but the pool area and surrounding seat needs some TLC the pool was not clean very unkept, dirty tables need to be clean they were dusty. Otherwise the room was clean and nice . Microwave and refrigerator lv the bathroom really cute . Nice parking space for cars .

Don't let the reviews and ratings fool you on this hotel it's a complete dump. Rooms are gross and unclean beds are terrible. The walls are paper thin and I'm pretty sure people are living in this hotel Monday and they are sketchy looking and up late

When we drove up to the Inn there was a bunch of awful music blarring out of a car stereo and a guy smoking next to the room. It looks nothing like the pictures depicted on the Web site. Motel 6 at its best....very uninviting in our opinion..No pretty hills to speak of only ugly buildings behind. Very disappointing to say the least...we just went home...

I’ve stayed at the Ramona Hotel several times. One thing always stands out in my mind and that is the service provided by Alex at the reception desk. What great service he provides. He is always calm, professional and very very friendly. I look forward to my next visit.

Pool was closed and they refused to issue refunds even after we went it to leave as soon as we find out. Front desk receptionist refused to call management, refused to cancel and it was uncooperative. She even told us that she changed us out and gave us checkout invoice with wrong date. I can’t believe this place was advertised trough Expedia. My last booking with them.

Traveled with small children. The rooms you can tell were newly renovated. Staff at the front desk were nice and friendly. Although we always bring our own towels when traveling, I’d recommend for you to bring your own as well for backup. As we came across dirty/stained towels. Other than that, would definitely stay again in the future.

security latch on door missing, only 3 pillows on a queen size bed, had to get batteries for the TV remote, lol. Nice basic room, clean and quiet considering it was totally sold out. Did see TWO seperate couples who had travelled all day only to find no room available despite having booked in advance!

It has improved a little since the renovation, but it is quite dirty. Walk on the floor with bare feet and they turn black. The desk and night tables had sticky tops. The AC unit worked fine, but vents are broken. The safety guard on the door has been torn off. This was supposed to be a non smoking room, but there was a strong odor.

This was a quick stay for a baseball tournament and the property was fully booked. The front desk clerk was helpful and welcoming and let me know that the TV in our room wasn’t working and offered to adjust the rate because of this. When my daughter wanted to give the unheatef pool a shot, the clerk opened up the area for us. ;-). The mattresses here were comfortable and the area was quiet was quiet. The updated design is noticable and it appears more upgrades are coming to this property.
