Great stay with views of Northern Lights from the hotel! The breakfast is well worth the extra fee - a good spread of items (and you’d be hard pressed to find somewhere else to eat nearby). A good launching point for all the nearby sights. We’d stay here again!

Needed a day bed called owner she had it at apartment in 10 minutes great customer service

Beautiful hotel with lake view

Amazing hotel in stunning setting with friendly, helpful personnel. Could not have asked for better experience!
4.7
Great hotel, very clean and acommodation.
The room was warm other that that great accommodations.

This was a gorgeous stop over at Lake Myvatn. Hotel is very well kept and the restaurant was delicious for dinner and breakfast. They also have a late night happy hour which was a pleasant surprise, having a night cap overlooking the lake was fabulous.
4.7
Beautiful hotel with free sauna and breakfast on gorgeous property

It’s a good hotel but not for people with allergies. The have carpet flooring and there is noway of having fresh air coming into the room because of huge number of flies outside. Putting screens would be a good fix.
They need to get new sheets as well. Lots of fabric pills on the sheet to the point I felt them on my skin the whole time. Reservation was for 2 nights but we left early after the first night due to my son’s allergies and room being on the warm side.
4.7
A third-rate property at best with an overpriced restaurant with poor service. At least it was quiet.
Hair from a previous guest was left in the bath and a light fixture fell apart while using the sink. Staff are poorly trained in terms of customer service.
4.7
Lovely stay at Fosshotel Mývatn. Parking lot could be a little bigger. Rooms clean and comfortable and staff very friendly and attentive.
4.7
Runny eggs, but overall beautiful place…if you like runny eggs.
4.7
Guests always complain about the sheets and the reservation service. It's a constant problem here.
I Believe this is not necessary, right!? So lets work together and improve!
4.7
The hotel does not respect reservations made, be careful as they cancel without prior notice. The bed linen feels like sandpaper and the service is useless.
4.7
Enjoyed the view of Lake from
The room as well as the hotel restaurant. Breakfast options are great too.
4.7
I have stayed in a few hotels so far while travelling around Iceland and this one by far the best!
4.7
The hotel itself was great; loved having the small public gathering areas near the elevators and the room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We stayed there just prior to, and during a freak snow-storm, which is where we noticed the downfalls. While the roads were mostly closed during this time, when the did open up, the hotel was slow to get the parking lot and driveway cleared of snow, making for later, more difficult and stressful departures, and made guests feel even more "trapped". Something that most guests won't ever experience but it did affect our stay.

Beautiful hotel with great service and excellent location

2nd Foss Hotel we stayed in as part of a ring road trip. I do feel the Foss hotels are expensive for what they are. A lot of style on offer but lacking in other ways.
Room had a balcony with a view to the lake and mountains. All very stunning.
Room itself was small but good storage options. Food prep was forbidden in rooms (a theme with Foss) but at least there was a kettle in this one. No sound proofing at this hotel.
Staff were all very friendly with one of them telling us to come look out the front during evening drinks where we saw the most stunning light up clouds from a sunset.
Bar area was lovely as was service. You can sit outside with drinks too.

Very nice hotel with elevation on a hill. Got a room with lake view and the volcano. Restaurant facing same direction is spacious and serve great food.
4.7
Clean, modern, comfortable hotel. My only complaint is that our room was so hot that it felt almost like a sauna and took a while to cool it down with open window. Everything else was top notch! Excellent staff. I was checked in by Julie ( I believe) and she was very helpful. Breakfast was great with perfect variety of items and beautiful view. Our room was comfortable with gorgeous view of Lake Myvatn and a crater. This hotel is located not directly in town, so you will need a vehicle to get places. Sauna was perfect with a balcony you can cool down on. Wish we could stay for more than one night!

Love the hotel , the pillows and sheets

Very convenient hotel to go whale watching or go to geosea. A short drive to myvatn, Godafoss, Akureyri. Great value restaurant was great and so was breakfast! Fast check in super comfortable hotel. This was our second coming to this hotel and next time we are travelling in this area we shall stay here again!

My recent stay at FossHotel Myvatn was an absolute delight. Impeccable cleanliness and the elegant decor created a sophisticated atmosphere. The rooms were a perfect blend of comfort and style, with a plush bed and thoughtful amenities. The staff's exceptional hospitality made me feel truly valued as a guest. Fosshotel Myvatn is a top-notch choice for those seeking a short yet luxurious getaway. Highly recommended!

The property itself is really lovely, however the ceiling to floor room windows were amazing. The aurora came to life and we were able to watch it from the comfort of our room. Once in a lifetime amazing experience.
4.7
Very lovely hotel, nice and modern.
4.7
The hotel was in an amazing location! It seemed that the Northern Lights were “on-demand” Loved the Suite, it was great for three people!
4.7
Fosshotel Myvatn was beautiful! The room was spacious, beautiful view, comfortable bed, clean and modern decor, gorgeous lobby and restaurant, friendly staff.
4.7
We stayed at two Fosshotel properties and this one was perfectly situated to explore the area for our three nights. The breakfast buffet was perfect each morning and we enjoyed a glass of wine in the bar to complete each day. They don't offer food in the bar which would be a nice addition.
Restaurant menu is a bit limited but everything we had was great. The rooms are on the small side but met our needs, were cozy and the beds are comfortable. The showers hand-held attachment was broken but the other half of the shower worked great.
Staff was friendly, our stay was great and we will be back again in the future.
4.7
Excellent experience.

This stay was beautiful! We even saw the Northern lights during our stay. Their sauna is an awesome addition and feels amazing after a long day of adventuring.
4.7
Clean and swnaky place in the middle of everything of the Myvatn area
4.7
Staff wasn't nice.
4.7
Very nice suites, staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, location is ideal for things to do in the area. Only downside is there is no AC in the rooms, which isn't a problem since the windows open, except then a ridiculous amount of flies enter the rooms.
4.7
We stay at Fosshotel Myvatn for one night during our ring road driving trip in Iceland recently. The hotel is very nice and a rare find during the trip as a full service hotel although it’s very expensive. But we had a nice stay. The hotel doesn’t have a close review of Myvatn lake as I was hoping.
4.7
Beautiful hotel. We got a room with lake view and that was so worth it. The view was breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay!
4.7
Hotel was by far the nicest we have staying in during our Icelandic adventure. You definitely get what you pay for.
4.7
Charging 522 euros per night for a completely mediocre 3-star hotel really feels like a robbery - especially when there are no other options anywhere nearby.
4.7
Beautiful property close to the best sights.
