We enjoyed our stay in Aarburg Hotel and Cafe. The staff are friendly and the room is spacious with a view of the Aare river. The breakfast buffet for guests is delicious. We also enjoyed coming to the cafe downstairs for lunch. The location is great . We are able to walk to the train station and also walk around Interlaken for shopping. We loved our stay and we will want to stay here again next time.

Hidden gem. Great little hotel. Staff very helpful and kind. Had 2 bedroom family suite which was perfect for us. Second bedroom on smaller side however we were very comfortable and had no issue with it. No elevator.

Owned and managed by a husband and wife. The hotel sits on top of a cafe (also owned and managed by this couple). The hotel
Is old but clean. The hospitality is a bit chilly. Services are basic. It’s very very simple accommodations. The female owner appears to have a strong disdain for guests. Coffee was delicious.

The place is clean however, the bedding covers and pillow cases were not comfortable to sleep with. Also, no wash cloths and lotion provided.

Very conveniently located to Interlaken West station and to local (free with guest pass) around town. Quiet. Great breakfast and great, friendly staff. Comfy bed with lively view of Jungfrau! Would stay here again!

Very friendly staff, great breakfast, coffee and food options for lunch. Also a convenient location to Interlaken West. Room itself was very cozy and clean. Having a few more furniture might have made it even better. Entrance was little tricky with steep steps so could be difficult for older people.

Our stay at The Aaburg was memorable.
The staff were very supportive and accomodating.
Even after hours, they were able to help.
The only thing, it is bit of a walking from the downtown, or main street and food options / tranist bus stop.
If travelling with luggage without a car is going to be a bit challenging at times.

Wow! We're on day 2 of our stay here and I just had to leave a review so I don't forget later... Lol. If there's any change after we leave in a few days, I'll update the review.
This hotel is great!! The location is incredible and our room 201 overlooks the river and stunning mountains all around! Beautiful view.
Very clean room. The whole hotel seems renovated, from the large wide spiral stairwell that's beautifully tiled, to the room itself with its wooden floor and beautiful bathroom tiles.
The room is a nice size with plenty of room for your things (unless you travel with 8 full size suitcases. In that case you may have a problem 😄).
The bathroom is small but wonderful. There's actually a medicine cabinet with a mirror! Can't remember the last time I had a medicine cabinet in a hotel room! The shower is nice and hot and has a raised ledge so water stays inside!
*They don't provide conditioner so take into account and bring your own.
Breakfast is nice. Great bread, good eggs, great coffee, and all kinds of other things.
The ladies that run the place are SO nice. Very responsive via email, accommodating, friendly... What more can you ask for??
Bottom line - great location, super clean, looks newly renovated, good breakfast... Would highly recommend!

A wonderful hotel and cafe! The location is so amazing, and the view from the room window of the lake and mountains would keep me up at night, it is stunning!
Everything in the room was great and I had no issues whatsoever. I was solo travelling and had done very little planning in advance but the staff were absolutely incredible. They helped me plan my days, gave recommendations and we had great conversations.
The staff were genuinely outstanding, and I really appreciated their help and kindness. A very lovely experience and I cannot wait to visit again!

Great location. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great breakfast every morning. The rooms are fine and the beds are comfortable. It’s not luxurious, but we were very comfortable.

This is a wonderful small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms vary in size and are clean and modern. There is a very nice breakfast and the Cafe, which is popular with locals, serves good food. Mohler's Bakery just across the street is an added benefit. The Interlaken West train station is just a few blocks away and other services of the Unterseen neighborhood are close at hand.

Loved our stay at the Aarburg! Victoria and Rachel had been so helpful with trip and transport ideas. The guys were also awesome esp at breakfast. Love my latte and our scrambled eggs! They even gave me free latte to go!!!

An enjoyable stay here. Excellent value for money and a unique stay above an excellent cafe. Location is halfway between the 2 railway stations OST and west. Bus stop is close and goes to either station. Our room over looked the Interlaken channel such a lovely view. Remember this is a budget stay so there is no elevator or air con but the windows opened in our room for fresh and coolish air. Comfy bed in good sized room. immaculate bathroom albeit minimum size. Plenty of hot water and a guest lounge with fridge to keep food cool, microwave and tea making. Breakfast included in tariff with amazing coffee and scrambled eggs freshly made to order.
I would return but ask for a room on level 1 or pack a smaller case to carry up the stairs.

Location is very pretty, we took so many pics around the area. It is near to Interlaken West and active area. Hotel rooms are setup well with nice views and the breakfast is excellent. The staff is very friendly.

This is a charming hotel situated above a cafe and by a river. Helpful staff who also serve as wait staff at the cafe. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. There is a lounge where guests can make coffee or tea for themselves. Continental breakfast comes with your choice of coffee and scrambled eggs (but only scrambled eggs). Walkable from Interlaken West station but public bus is also available round the corner. Nice 15 minute walk by the river to Interlaken Ost if you are inclined. Enjoyed lunch at the cafe, especially the wraps and tarts.

Tim was a helpful he literally helps in every aspects and guided us throughout our stay and helped us booking the different adventures in peace of mind for sure I recommend people to stay here and definitely will stay at Aarburg next time visiting Interlakenn

I Loved looking out onto the blue glacial river. The owner had great insights to some of the outdoor activities as he had been a canyoneering guide for many years prior. He and the staff were amazing, very friendly, and tried to accommodate as best they could. The rooms were cozy, newly renovated with a simple design. The cafe had wonderful desserts. The free breakfast was simple but enough with cold items. Hot food could be ordered from a menu for additional cost from the cafe.

Great little place located above the cafe. Everyone was very nice especially the owner who offered us great advice on sites to see. Lite breakfast included each morning which was a plus. Located fairly close to the train station and city center but there is a bus which stops close to the hotel. The room had a beautiful view and was plenty spacious. Our bed was pretty hard and there is no elevator which was a bit tough on my knee pain.

Great service.check in / out was easy. They even hauled our luggage. Views were espectacular, breakfast was very good, specially the coffee. Of course rooms were warm due to the heat wave. The fan helped! I will recommend it 100%.

The location in incredible because it's a 3 minute walk into the "downtown" area but far enough away where you can sleep with the windows open and have a quiet night's sleep. The breakfast was amazing. Homemade yogurts, juices, fresh baked breads and croissants, and made to order coffee/hot chocolate and eggs. Truly the best breakfast a hotel has offered us during our two week Euro-trip. The hotel only has 9 rooms so it had the boutique feel which we loved. It's about a 7 minute walk from the west train station. And about a 15 minute walk to the east side of Interlaken. Interlaken itself is amazing and when we come back we will most definitely be staying at the Aaburg!
