We were greeted with a cold hand towel and a juice - lovely. Easy check in.
Room was huge and very clean. We had no hot water but when we told them about this they quickly fixed the problem. The swimming pool was pristine. The only problem with the pool is that it was quite exposed - no screen from the driveway.
We got our laundry done - reasonable price by the kilo and fast return.
The communication before arrival was good but the reception staff looked very worried if we asked for anything. However they were always trying to be helpful.
There was renovations happening while we were there but mostly it was quiet and lovely to have a view of the sea (ask for this).

Close to the beach, clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Nice ocean view.

I had a fantastic 3 night stay at Randiya Sea View Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and very generous and the swimming pool cool and relaxing. The location is perfect, directly opposite the beach and close to shops, restaurants and spas.
The room was big and clean. The only slight downfall was the aircon wasn’t very efficient but that is quite common across Sri Lanka.
I would definitely stay at Randiya Sea View again.

Situated just off the main road to Galle which is a bit unsettling to begin with but you get used to it. Rooms were clean, pool ok, location to beach handy. Breakfast average.

I feel like this hotel is going to be amazing one day, but it was not yet that.
My room was totally fine, but the "sea view" was really only from the balcony. Some rooms had a clear sea view, but mine was obscured. Also, I believe it's listed as "on the beach" but it is definitely "near the beach." Indeed, the beach is only across the road, so it's right there, but I thought my "sea view" would be more ample. No biggie, but good to know.
My room's AC did not work very well, so they came to work on it. They were there a long time, but it was not really much different from before, but it cooled things down enough for me to sleep through the night. The biggest problem with the hotel is the continuous banging from construction. If you want a nap, some reading time, or just watch a show from the bed, this is not the hotel for you. If you plan on being out ALL day, surely the construction wouldn't be an issue. They said it would only be until 5:00 pm, so they are very aware it is an issue. I saw other reviews from months ago that complained of the same thing, but figured it would be finished by the time I arrived. I think they have a long time more with this construction, so you'll probably want to inquire about it should you choose this place—but really, with construction finished and a bit more English abilities in their employees (who are friendly but not very able to communicate), I think this will be a great spot.

The hotel has not been finished being built. It has about 20 odd rooms finished, and is still building on the side of this. If you appreciate being woken up by a drill in the next room, then this is a great hotel. If you like to have a lay in on holiday, then look elsewhere. The breakfast was average, room was fine.

A very nice hotel, definitely worth the price we paid. Clean and comfy rooms, nice pool and very close to the beach. The staff were very serviceminded and friendly. We would absolutely come here again!

Marrisa is beautiful but this hotel is Poor value for money . Major construction going on so noisy . Good location opposite the beach but by a noisy road. Rooms are a good size and showers hot but not cleaned every day apparently you have to ask if you want cleaning but wasnt told this . We had to ask the staff for toilet roll the second day after room not being cleaned. Breakfast is shameful bit of fruit , curry , dry cake , and toast or omelette. Over priced would not recommend.

Walking distance to beach and different restaurants. Nice swimming pool and nice room. Noisy as close to main road but you can't take a place for convenient location and being quiet.
Restaurant breakfast doesn't have much choices of food but still manageable.
Shower was ok, hot water only in daytime, probably solar(?. We didn't realized on first night so missed a hot shower for the first night.

We arrived just in time to see and hear the construction of the pool from 7am to 7pm. The hotel room was filthy.
The wifi was not great and the TV didn’t work. Breakfast was from 8-10am although they were still setting up at 9am. There are much better options for accommodation and at a much better price. So far this is our only poor review in SriLanka. 1star hotel with a 4 Star price. The pool will not resolve their issues.
