Chetola is one of our most favorite places to stay in Blowing Rock area. Perfect for family or couples getaways

The property is one of the best in the heart of ski country. We will be back!

Great property and resort!

Great location close to Appalachian ski resort, downtown and other places. Cozy apartment and beautiful views.

Clean spacious 1 BR / 1BR. Unit a bit far away from the, very cozy!, main lodge. Loved dinner at local restaurant. Short in staff though so had a hard time making a resy but they squeezed us in. Close to Main Street with a lot of excellent small restaurants. Unit very clean and had all necessities. Pool area needs upgrade; hottub no bubbles and Luke warm water. In summary great stay, would highly recommend.

We did not like the bed

Boxwood 3 unit was not well maintained ... broken baseboard tile in kitchen & master bath, dryer didn't dry clothes, hot water heater insufficient supply for 4 pp.

We could not find any directions for the TV and tried juggling between 2 remotes ….there was no password for some of the extra channels like Apple TV……so we’re not able to access UNC CH football game .
The lighting is very dim ….hard to read by .
Kitchen was fully equipped. Bathroom very modern and clean.

We were there for a car club event, and the condo was a great retreat!

This is our second visit. Previously stayed in the lodge which was lovely. This time we stayed in a 2bdrm 2ba condo. Beautifully appointed and well stocked in the kitchen. Only suggestions: 1) include a step stool to get into the king bed. I am 5’1” and had to use a chair. 2) Check out at 10 am is unreasonable when we needed to have all the dishes cleaned and put away ( per printed instruction) and the garbage bagged and walked to the receptacle. I know the units must be serviced but there needs to be compromise if making these requests of guests on departure.

I have been to Chetola many times but this is my first time renting a townhouse. They never disappoint me, with their professional charm. From the guard gate, to the front desk & the pub. Absolutely beautiful inside & out. The staff is very accommodating & friendly. Will definitely be back!

A good option at an excellent resort. This one bedroom unit needs an update.

Location and it was close to other eateries

I liked the condo overall but didn't realize it was a downstairs condo. My husband fell going down the steps Saturday evening. Luckily he didn't break anything but is bruised and sore.
The bathroom sink was t working properly and kept getting water backed up. My husband fixed it temporarily and I told the person at check out so they are fixing it.
Loved the mountain location but couldn't get food delivered from any restaurant in blowing rock or Boone.

The area is absolutely beautiful, the property is older and kind of run down. upon arriving we had to sweep snow off the steps to prevent accidents. After saying it had a wood burning fireplace there was no wood and no communicationconcerning this.No coffee, lights needed to be replaced and the Bed was unstable.
All in all with communication from the property it could have been a nice stay, however, for the money it was very dissappointing.

Loved the holiday glow at chetola.

Beautiful location, view, responsive staff, and amenities on site and off! We will likely return. That said, 1 of 2 parking spaces for the condo was blocked; a neighbor complained bc we used a space meant for another unit. Also, it’s a shame there are not walking paths bordering the road to the lodge. We would have liked to walk there but it didn’t feel safe by the side of the road. Otherwise, perfect stay and location!!

The property is nice, but the condo was very dated. High cost for average accommodations.

Should have a hair dryer.. Not aware ahead of time.

We loved staying at the scenic Chetola resort! We were In the condos. One nice touch would have been if there had been coffee available.

Enjoyed our stay. Restaurant was good. NO BLOW DRYER. In 15 years I haven't had to bring a hair dryer anywhere unless I just wanted a better dryer than what is usually in the rooms.

We chose this property due to it's location and convenience to the area. Very nice and quiet. Full service restaurant on site offers fantastic service and quality. Staff was helpful and gracious during check in and other transactions. Highly recommend for an enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay, beautiful property and rooms. Only complaint was the pool heater was broken so the pool wasn’t usable as it was freezing which was a huge disappointment for the youngest kid.

The property was very clean. We spoke with several staff members prior to and during our stay and each individual was friendly and helpful. Great place for families too!

This place is a must when traveling with our family. It’s near some attractions and the property itself is magical. From our room we saw one of the most beautiful sunset ever. People there and around town are nice in general. We really loved it and wish we could stay longer.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Ideal location and beautiful grounds.

The property is away from the main town which prevents foot traffic and noise. It is situated on a hill side that is close to hiking trails and Bass Lake. It feels secluded, yet is 5 minutes from Main Street by car. This was our 3rd stay over the past 7 months and we love it here. We rented a 1 BR condo instead of the usual hotel/lodge room and we were pleasantly surprised. Each condo is privately owned and decorated by the individual owners so each one is different. This is the best place to stay in Blowing Rock!

No shampoo or laundry samples
2.0
The unit was very outdated — straight out of 1993. Also, the ceiling fans were very loud & the beds extremely uncomfortable. Further, there were zero amenities — no shampoo, conditioner, extra towels, etc.
2.0
The resort is lovely and had good amenities. We enjoyed the boating, indoor pool, bocce ball, fishing and tennis courts. Our condo was comfortable although it was in need of updating. The appliances were very outdated and in poor condition. For example, the oven was extremely old and did not work properly, which made making meals very difficult. Overall, we greatly enjoyed the resort, the town, and the surrounding areas. Our children are already asking when we can return.

The hotel is a little old, and several light switches were not functioning.
