Nice place to stay for a evening

Super cozy stay for two adults and a pup! Towels, bedding, and some items in the kitchen and bathroom provided as well. Staff was friendly from the beginning of booking. Made our short and sweet trip to the UP one to remember!! Super solid location for plenty of waterfalls minutes away, pictured rocks, and even going into Marquette was cool.

Paid to much beds u could feel the springs bathroom very very small said breakfast it was coffee and a danish roll was definitely over priced

Quick and simple check in and very courteous staff. Room is very old and shows being remodeled poorly in the past, especially in the bathroom. Room was missing a pole to hang our clothes but the was fixed immediately by staff. Lots of windows, but no curtains, so even with the blinds closed, the room stayed very light all night. It was a terrible room to try and sleep in. Very poor breakfast! A juice, pastry and breakfast bar. Had to pay extra for anything else.

We had a wonderful stay. George greeted us upon arrival and helped us get checked into our room. Our room was clean, had a tub with shower, microwave and mini fridge. There was a coffee maker and several packages of coffee. The property was well lit and felt very safe. There was a grocery store right across the street and the boat tours are right down the street. In the morning Dawn was in the lobby serving breakfast. She was amazing! So helpful and full of information!

Great little roadside motel: clean, comfortable, cheaper than others.

The bathroom window was filthy and the room was overall. There was no lamp in the room, only one ceiling light. There was no electrical plugs in the room except the one which had an extension cord plugged in it. That extension cord had the microwave and fridge plugged into it. I only stayed one night and that was enough!

Just your basics to lay your head down…clean.
Pillows were not comfortable but appreciated having 2 rooms.

The property needed some TLC. Simple maintenance upkeep was really needed. Electrical outlets were lacking and inconvenient. Staff was very friend and pleasant.

It was just what we needed for our one night stay.

We stayed two nights at the superior Inn. The staff made us feel welcome in a friendly and down home kind of way. It was the little things. For instance I had an arm full of things in my hands when I left the office and the manager at the desk, offered to get up to open the door for me. It sounds small but so often you see people so engrossed in their computer or phone. It just demonstrated a sensitivity we felt through our entire stay.
The ice machine was not working. They had a large cooler of ice in the office which had run out on the morning we were leaving. We wanted to fill up our cooler so they directed us to another property they owned a block or so away and we got plenty of ice there.
I felt they were very sensitive toward anything we needed.

Motel is right on highway - so noisy, and lights from street and motel signs shine in - dark blinds to block might help in both light and some noise

Overall stay was good !

Our stay was for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay while vacationing in the UP.

Great for cleanliness and convenience. Pricepoint good. Complaints: The property is like a square that is brightly lit by all the doors and the parking lot and there are blinds on the window and a privacy glass above the door and there was no way to darken the rooom for proper sleep. Also there is only one BRIGHT light in the room overhead and cannot be dimmed. Not comfortable for watching tv or windind down at night. Our room was a few doors down from the office and was a one bedroom with a bathroom.

Not sure why this place has bad reviews. Very cute place, a couple of options for breakfast. Can walk to downtown for dinner if you wanted. Traffic is a little loud but eventually it settles down later at night.

it is old property- and it is cheaper than property in the area. It is convenient

The building itself is old but I kind of liked the vintage, Up-North feel. The room layout was odd. But the room had been updated and was nice and clean.
I stayed in the room with a queen bedroom, bathroom, and sitting room. The bedroom needs more lighting. And it would have been nice to have some kind of dresser. There is a “closet” rack and some hangers but otherwise you are living out of your suitcase. It had a coffee maker, a small microwave, and a small mini fridge. No couch. Two easy chairs and a small table with two dining chairs.
The staff was really nice and helpful. I would stay here again.

There was a misunderstanding of the rooms and what Hotels.com shows. I thought I was getting a fantastic deal, but due to discrepancies in Hotels.com I did not get the room I thought I booked.

We loved the location of this property and the fact that there was plenty of space/privacy for our family: two bedrooms, a kitchen area, and living area. We spent most of our time exploring. It is a great location from which to explore Pictured Rocks and other sites of interest.

The room and bathroom were absolutely pristine and nicely decorated. There was a binder that had lots of information. Directions were clear and concise for internet and TV/Cable.
I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host.

Very dated with old rugs, very old bathroom and overall tiny room.

Convenient location but bright sign shines in the room, ac unit is loud and bed was hard and not very comfortable.

Clean but dated.

The window only had ineffective blinds to keep out the light that was just outside. Blackout curtains would've helped tremendously! We did not sleep well at all. In fact, we slept better in our tent on the backpacking trail. The shower and sink were tiny, but effective although there was no stopper in the sink. The hot water heater was juuuust enough for two 5 minute showers (the room sleeps 4). The dumpster 20 feet from our door was loudly emptied at 5 a.m. (I realize the hotel can't control that, but it was a factor in us leaving early - it's not like we were sleeping well because of the bright light.)

Staff was very nice, professional and helpful. Room was cute, comfy and had everything I needed.

Way too expensive for what it is. No curtains just blinds that were bent and did not cover windows, carpet filthy

We got the end room. There was some sort of intermittent loud noise outside. It sounded like a runway. If it was the heating unit. There should be some sort of insulation to tamp down the noise. Other than that, the place is okay. Customer service is great.

Property needs updating, some stains on carpet and ceiling but not too bad. Could use dark curtains to block light from shining in rooms. The mini blinds did not block out the bright lights from the sign & parking lot. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Even though this isn’t some modern hotel it’s very clean and the staff was friendly. The room was spacious. It’s very convenient to get downtown.

This property should be condemned. The door does not open fully. The A/C did not work. There were no lamps. These rooms were actually sagging on their foundation.

Friendly staff. Good recommendations. Very close to downtown and to boat rides to Pictured Rocks. Front desk immediately took care of a minor issue. Free ice for your cooler. Small but adequate breakfast. It’s Up North. Not fancy but still very good. Bed was comfortable. It’s on the Main Street so a little noisy from traffic noise but we slept fine.

My only complaint was the room is designated as "handicap accessible" suite (room 32) and had a piece of particle board at the entrance for barrier free entrance. The particle board had been there awhile and was soft and had a wobble to it. It would be much better to have an actual metal ramp which is not a big deal as I have purchased on Amazon for under a hundred dollars. I did let someone at the motel know that this is an issue for us. My mom doesn't need a wheelchair or a walker but does need a smooth transition from outside to inside.
Other than that I really enjoyed having a quiet and very clean suite with two large bedrooms, a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower, living room, eating area and a full kitchen. Also, the bed was comfortable and not too hard or soft--just right for a great nights sleep.

Left after one night. The mattress protector was covered in pee stains.

Liked it was near a grocery store and near a Hardee’s fast food and a visitor center.
