We were upgraded to a family suite for some reason and we loved it. Very generous space, fully equipped kitchenette and very clean. Very quiet, comfortable and peaceful. Would stay there again for a longer time- awesome place as a base to explore this beautiful area.

The Lake Cowichan Lodge is an older but clean and comfortable hotel. The room I rented consisted of a suite with a separate bedroom and had a kitchenette with a full size fridge and stove. I would recommend the LCL to any price conscious traveller.

Carpet worn and stained, beds old and uncomfortable. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable . Exterior did not feel safe. Hallways smelled like smoke

It was ok. When I spend money, it should be enjoyable. This was not. No hello. Gruff, got a reservation? Have a good stay....nothing. Just a room to sleep in.

The property is dated, however it is functional. The beds were a tad lumpy. The smell of wet dog was noticeable in the hallways but not in the room. All that being said it worked out for what we needed.

The front desk was closed upon arrival at 11'30pm, had to call . Lobby smelt horrible, like dirty wet dog, hallways to room smelt like dog pee, so disgusting. They need to remove the pee soaked carpeting. Also the old green carpets in the room were stained, torn and just overall gave me the ick. Bedroom and restroom were fine. I think people live full time in the hotel, noise from the room above was loud in the morning. Wouldn't recommend

We had a great stay. Hotel was very clean. Little kitchenette so we could make our own breakfast. Large room. The room is dated but very clean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Let me check in early at no charge!

For an older property, it wasn’t too bad. Could use some updating but it was clean. It had all dishes, pots and pans and silverware available to use except coffee cups. No coffee cups or mugs anywhere.

Price was excellent and I was very impressed with everything. Checkin was already an early time and we were able to checkin even earlier. Pet friendly was nice. We were surprised by the size of the room. My only suggestion is the blankets were thin and there were no extra blankets in the closets. We did however turn up the heat and were warm through the night.

There was nothing unique about the property What I didn't like was the fact the kitchen was dirty the bathroom mirror was dirty; gum stuck to the carpet. The faucet in kitchen there was not pressure for the water. The stove and oven is disgusting.

I always stay there when in the cow, it is an older building but it is always clean and quiet. The desk clerk is always very friendly and helpful. One of the nicer places to stay on the hockey circuit.

I booked a room with lake view which was showing in photo. That disappointed me because i went there to spend good time with my girlfriend with Natuwala view. Also, there was smoking smell everywhere and cold water tap was not working of sink. It was my one of the bad trip through expedia .

The parking lot was not properly plowed of snow. Icy patches everywhere, my girlfriend slipped and fell just outside the entrance way.
