Lovely stay. Thought it would be noisy due to being on ground floor and street side but it wasn’t. Reception gent was very nice. Breakfast could have toast and preserves but no biggie. Already planning our next visit. Lovely beach town.

This is a gem of a property. We felt so safe and nurtured at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family of four. The rooms are decorated with such charming, old style Mexico features, and the food and service was beyond our expectations. It's a great location as it's a quick walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. If you're looking for a modern hotel with a pool scene, this is not your place. But if you're looking for a special, local boutique hotel with charm and exceptional service and food, you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful and amazing Oasis near the heart of San Pancho. The hotel and staff were incredible. We felt this place was quite a bargain. Will be back again.

This a small boutique hotel. The facilities are very tastefully appointed with countless unique little touches. The staff is kind, caring, responsive and polished. There's a lot of love in this business. We stayed 3 nights and found this to be an excellent home base for San Pancho. Very easy to walk about and enjoy the town from the hotel. Pool is just a short one block walk away at a sister property(tranquil garden-like pool setting). The food at the hotel's restaurant is super special. We added an item each morning to the complimentary breakfast offerings and very much enjoyed everything we sampled(banana pancakes were amazing fo this pancake lovert)--tasty, healthful, environmentally conscientious food with local flare. Cheers and happy travels

we loved our stay at this cute hotel with lots of character. Each room is unique, the patio is lovely for coffee and breakfast in the morning and the staff are super friendly. great location. we'll definitely be back!

Lovely boutique hotel in downtown San Pancho.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The food at the restaurant downstairs Bistro Organiko was fabulous!!
It’s right in the road so if you are a light sleeper like I am, you’ll need to wear earplugs.
I’d stay again.

Wonderful boutique hotel with great food service. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We stayed in the ground floor room close to the reception desk (Primero room) as a budget option. Putting this at the top of my review because some of the negative reviews I read were specifically about this room.
Admittedly I was nervous about this room after reading the reviews, but we stayed for 2 nights (Mon & Tues) during peak season and we had a great stay. I’m a very light sleeper and had no trouble getting a good night sleep every night (they provide ear plugs if needed to). It is the only room on the ground floor. Yes - it is right by the front door & entrance is in the lobby near reception but we lucked out that the restaurant was closed on Tuesday's and dinner service only happens on weekends.
The staff was incredibly friendly, available, and accommodating. We took advantage of the pool at their nearby property around the corner which was BEAUTIFUL and we got it all to ourselves.
The hotel is well appointed with local goods for sale and the restaurant is cute — we only had the provided coffee and fruit for breakfast. It’s very close to the center of town and we absolutely loved San Pancho.
The only minor feedback I’d give is regarding the toilet & wastebasket. You are not to flush toilet paper down the toilwt (which for a small town in Mexico I totally understand the plumbing sensitivity as the toilet was slow to flush) so I would’ve loved a covered wastebasket knowing that. Also the toilet seat cover in the room kept falling down before we could sit haha!

If I could give Hotel Cielo Rojo 6 stars I would. I love this hotel. The rooms are warm and inviting and the staff are welcoming. They are kind, knowledgeable, committed to excellence, and just lovely people. The food in the restaurant is amazing. Everything I ordered was exceptional! Mucho gracias to everyone at the hotel!

Hotel Cielo Rojo is a beautiful environment. Each room is thoughtfully designed and feels like home. There are sitting spaces in common spaces on each floor that are also beautiful. The restaurant on the first floor is inviting, surrounded by plants and art, and in the evening it is candle lit. It is welcoming and relaxing. And the food is prepared from scratch, farm to table and mostly organic. It is definitely a restaurant not to miss. And then there is the staff - they are excellent and their attention to detail is amazing, they are kind and welcoming. Hotel Vielo Rojo is one of my favorite hotels.

Hotel Cielo Rojo is a charming boutique hotel conveniently located in San Pancho. Both private & public space decor is thoughtful & interestingly inspired. Beyond the hotel’s charm is the addition of probably The Best restaurant north of PV. Bistro Organico is just that. A fresh and festive experience for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dinner Fri - Sun.
That being said, our only critique is that no mention was made, when booking, of our accommodations being the floor above the kitchen with its one window opening onto the restaurants outdoor dinning area below. We had 2 noisy nights. Will we return, most likely!

The property is gorgeous. The only thing we didnt like were the nightly power outages. Two were short, but the last night there was no power for 7 hours and without a fan or AC it was hot! We couldnt sleep. Not their fault, but pretty inconvenient.

Staff are very helpful and friendly; the free continental breakfast is excellent with mixed fruits; yogurt….; we felt very welcome as guests staying in the hotel!! Great location- within minutes to restaurants. Room with little details make us feel as ‘valued guests’.

I have been in Mexico for almost 2 years, and have only ever experienced wonderful hospitality. Unfortunately, I cannot say that anymore because the owner's of this hotel were the most unhelpful & rude I've ever dealt with. I must point out that they are gringos and do not live locally. BEWARE! There is a narrow 2 hour window for check in and if your travel is delayed (during which you may not have cell service because you are on a plane or driving through the mountains), they will cancel your reservation without telling you and keep your money. My bf & I were delayed and I didn't receive their phone calls. Once we arrived and had service I returned the call and the woman who answered was ANNOYED by my call. She would barely talk to me while I was the calm one which is remarkable given the fact that I was a stranded exhausted traveler. I understand their policy and wasn't arguing at all. If you are going to be in the hospitality business, you should understand what that entails but it seems the foreigners just want to cash in on this amazing town. Thankfully Hotel Casa San Pancho had a vacancy and were absolute perfection from start to finish.

A spectacular spot, the best aspects of a bohemian travel spot and simple luxury for a super affordable price. The staff is wonderful, and there's a great little gift shop if you are stumped for gifts by the end of your trip. The complimentary breakfast was so fresh and yummy.
Right in the heart of town, 5 minute walk to the beach, but you may not want to leave the hotel.
Extra pluses:
-The air conditioning works great
-The shampoo, conditioner, and soap are all high quality and smell heavenly
-Intimate lounging spots around the three stories plus a well stocked take one-leave one library
-Board games
-Excellent hotel restaurant in general
-Free tequila waiting in your room
-Strong WiFi, fast enough for streaming and Zoom
-Just off the main drag enough that it's quieter
I can't wait to stay here again!

Friedly environment with good kind host.

The staff were wonderful however, the room we had was cramped and noisy (it was right next to the front desk) . The bathroom was so small you practically had to climb over the toilet to get in and out of the shower. And, the pool was at another property a few blocks away. This was not something we were made aware of before we booked. Had we known, we would have booked another hotel.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in San Pancho.
This was our first time staying here. It is noisy for hotel guests on weekend nights because dinner is served (otherwise only breakfast and lunch everyday except Tues) and great live jazz music on their patio is a bonus! But as guests, the noise from the dining patio and kitchen filters up until after closing. Thank goodness for the earplugs! Otherwise, the rooms are sweet, the staff is kind and attentive, Giselle is welcoming, and the meals are healthy, nutritious and delicious!

Wonderful Hotel. Great location. Very friendly/helpful staff.
Great Coffee and food. Loved the Roosters. didn't have to set my alarm. Hope to return some day

Staff were fantastic, very accommodating. BUT this hotel has a VERY BAD room. It is located 3 feet from the front desk, the bed is about 10 feet away. Every word spoken at the front desk can be heard. I felt very uncomfortable like someone was at my door and coming in. This should NOT be a room but a front door strorage closet. Next I found a HUGE live cockroach under my sheets. I took a picture and caught it to show the front desk the next morning. Very little response its Mexico. When they cleaned my room they got rid of Ralph my pet cockroach....my shower had extremely low pressure, my hair is thin, took a long time to rince it out. Overall a great hotel, an amazing fruit cup breakfast just DONT STAY IN THIS ROOM....or it should have warning signs and 80% off. The complimentary earplugs by my bed should have been taken more seriuosly. Sad because the other rooms are likely great.

Beautiful hotel, restaurant and gift shop. Our room was small and at street level so limited privacy. Could overhear lobby conversations. The restaurant food and service is outstanding. Highly recommend the restaurant.

I so enjoyed this sweet hotel. As a woman traveling alone i felt completely safe and cared for. Saul and the rest of the staff provided four star treatment. They have a laundry service and nothing is too much trouble. I'd definitely stay there again!
It was a short walk to the shops. The beach is a bit of a walk, but so beautiful. The pool isn't onsite but is extremely private. I miss the fresh fruit and the wonderful food and service.

The hotel was outstanding. When we checked in everyone was very accommodating and friendly. The decor was very nicely done in a Mexicana style. The rooms and property are kept very clean. In the rooms, they provided free shampoo in the showers, plenty of towels, a candle for the bathroom, filtered water in a bottle, and two complementary shots of Tequila. We did not like the room we were given due to it being on the first floor next to the street where you could hear all the street noise. They moved us upstairs to the back of the hotel where it was much quieter. The food in the restaurant was outstanding.
I would recommend staying there to anyone, and if and when we go back we will definitely stay there again.

What a great hotel to spend some time, beautiful and well taken care of. Staff was extremely friendly and we felt welcomed even though we had a toddler in tow. The rooms are so comfortable and homey.

The Hotel is located close to a lot of restaurants, and the beach, perfect for anyone checking out San Pancho for the first time.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the restaurant in the hotel is also very good, although it's hard to find bad food in San Pancho.
The room itself was very spacious, the bed comfortable, and the internet worked well. Easy recommendation to stay.
