Really neat, clean hotel on Rte 66. I’d recommend!

The Western is a wonderful place for an overnight stay. The rooms are clean, the parking is well lit, and the staff is terrific. Oversized parking is a cinch. Been there more than a dozen times over the years while on the I-40, cross country trek. Will stay there a dozen times more.

The room was clean, which is most important to me. It was near the highway and every time a truck passed it made a racket. The man at the front desk was very nice, and helpful.

An old motel that has been renovated. No bells and whistles but the room was clean and in good condition. My wife really liked the tub and shower.

This motel is always neat and clean. The owners are very nice and friendly, and the parking area is very well lit and accommodates trucks with trailers.

I drove coast to coast, literally, to see my son in CA. I have always wanted to do the great American road trip on Route 66. When I was planning my trip, I saw The Western Motel right on Route 66 in Shamrock, TX. So I stayed here on my way out and I was so impressed with the staff and how amazing they are that I cancelled my reservations on my return trip and drive an extra two hours to stay here again. I was so impressed that they remembered my name and they were genuinely happy to see me again. If you are coming through Shamrock TX, do you yourself a favor and enjoy the Western Motel and TX hospitality. And don’t forget to have coffee and pastries with Elvis at the U Drop Inn right across the street.

I have stayed here many times on cross country traveling. The owners are extremely pleasant and the rooms are always clean and nice. I like that the parking lot is extremely well lit and capable of handling large vehicles and trailers.

Room was quiet, just leave the wall fan on and you don't hear me outside noise. Was overall clean and quiet, comfortable king bed. Plenty of well lit parking for a truck and trailer if needed. Easy check-in, cash or card. What you would expect for a motel, not high-end but if you just looking for a place to stay for the night and check out all the cars movie stuff around town. Town this is a very nice hotel. I would stay here again.

There is a recliner in my room. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Every hotel room in the world get rid of those uncomfortable chairs and get recliners. Brilliant idea on behalf of the Western Hotel.

The air wasn't on in the room, so it was a bit stale smelling until the air started circulating. Easy off and on to the route 83.

Clean room, great location, and even a free upgrade to a room with a view of the U Drop Inn. Thank you!

We are doing the R66 tour and wanted to a least one classical hotel. This is an old style motel but has been refurbished and has fresh paint and is very clean. Has to be the most value I have got for the price. It's not an modern efficient unit (has an actual key), but it is large and quiet. (Air conditioner may be a tad loud but goes with the decor). Strongly recommend it. No restaurant, but a couple within walking distance. And across the street is the refurbished Conoco service station - a must see!

Older motel, but kept up very well. Clean, comfortable and staff was amazing!

The property was nice but the area was a bit too old for our taste.

The best roadside motel I've stayed at. I was a bit nervous making this reservation for me and my family, but everything was great. The check in staff were very friendly, the room and bathroom were very clean and I'm super picky about that. The AC worked like a boss. Parking was simple. Nothing to complain about and my husband would say that's rare for me :-)

We had a great stay. Super clean and remodeled Route 66 motel. The owner is amazingly attentive and gracious. After learning we were traveling Route 66 with our daughter he changed our room to one that overlooks the famous Cars movie inspiration for Ramone’s accross the street. Restaurants are within walking distance if you want and a great stop for a good nights sleep. We highly recommend!

We were looking for the basics at a good price. Not disappointed there. The manager stayed later than usual, waiting for us to arrive. Very friendly service.

Wonderful stop in the heart of Shamrock.

Friendly and helpful checking. Older type motel with outside entrance doors and no elevator. Bathroom outdated and not in best repair. Desk chair needs to be replaced or recovered. Met basic needs and from we saw maybe best place in town

Room was great, may need a few TLC things but was still a good room.

This was a business trip & we had been driving since 5am from MS headed to Las Vegas. My boss booked us a room & it was 9:30pm or so. We got there & it looked kind of sketchy but we stopped anyways. Went to office & got key. Went upstairs & heard load TV. When we opened the door, it was the TV in the room. One bed looked like someone had been laying on it & there were 2 dirty towels on bed. We closed door & went back to office & told her we were gonna find another place. Ask for refund & she said would have to call back. She Never offered another room, maybe because I said we were gonna find another room. Call owner today & he said No Refund. Said we were just trying to get a FREE ROOM. Not sure what that means since we had to go down the road & pay for another room. Said worker said we were gone for 15-20 minutes before we came back. Not true. I didn't even walk in room. Had sat my bags at door & my brother stepped in room just for a second. I deal with some people named Patel & they are very nice. We even built one of them a pool. The other Patel has a hotel in OH & our workers have been staying with them for months. I couldn't believe this Uppen Patel was being so rude, saying I just wanted a FREE ROOM!!!! I never write reviews very often but this was ridculous!!!!!

Stop by the antique store next door, visit the renovated early 1900's gas station across the street, or barbecue at the free grilling/outdoor dining area on the motel's grounds.

My stay was great! Easy access on and off Interstate 40, staff very friendly and accommodating. This was my second time staying in Shamrock, Texas at this hotel and plan on stopping again on next road trip.

Our stay was very comfortable.....it was clean and the hot water worked!! We had nothing to complain about! Managament is very nice!!

Really enjoyed our overnight stay. A wonderful ‘throwback’ hotel on Route 66…it was cozy, clean, comfortable beds, loved having a window in the bathroom 😊. Very nice owners…throwback meaning they still have real keys to the rooms 😃 will definitely revisit again!!!!

What I expected and wanted a vintage looking motel with great service. CARS themed site within walking distance and right across motel. Cool place.
