Stayed here after Hurricane Helene devastated our area. Owners went above and beyond for locals and disaster-relief personnel.

We had an amazing weekend! The staff was incredible! The property amenities were fantastic!
4.3
We had such a good time in Maggie Valley and if we're ever back again we're definitely staying back at The Meadowlark Motel! Pleasant friendly staff, a full service bar downstairs, and it was pet friendly too! Thank you Meadowlark Motel!
4.3
Always a nice stay
4.3
Was a nice place. Unfortunately for us the restaurant and bar wasn’t open when we were there, but Joseph said we could order from the menu and they would do room service. Thought that was nice. Room was nice and air was definitely cold!! Would stay again.
4.3
Our stay was good. Staff was so friendly an helpful. We would diffently stay again.
4.3
We enjoyed our stay, the pool was a plus for my daughter and the creek in the back was so peaceful. We loved the view from our patio.
4.3
Throwback motel, cute and clean, but very small room with a terrible mattress and noisy AC unit. Breakfast was "continental", great coffee but that's it.
4.3
Old fashion motel great for a base in my fishing trip to WNC
4.3
Great staff. Rooms are older and dated but clean. Loved that everything was walkable
4.3
The meadowlark motel is in a great location and the employees are super nice
4.3
An old school US Highway motel, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance 5 miles west of Maggie Gap. Comfortable for a quick stay.
4.3
Check in was good. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Had shampoo and body wash dispenser but nothing in them. Coffee pot was leaking so we couldn’t make coffee but all in all it was a good stay!
4.3
We were only here the 1 night, on a road trip, but were pleasantly surprised with this motel in the very cozy Maggie village. We had room 130, it was overlooking the creek, providing great views, bed was nice, had a large tub too. The entire motel had a very mountain cabin type feel to it which we loved. The owner was very friendly and helpful as well. We were here during the off season but there was still plenty of dining options to choose frome. Would definitely return again.
4.3
The hotel is outdated but clean. Nothing fancy but it is in a nice location and the creek and outdoor area is beautiful.
4.3
The speakeasy was so much fun and the room was cozy. I recommend the room beside the creek because you can hear the soothing sound of the creek all day and it has a beautiful view. Management is very attentive and kind. Room was clean. Pet Friendly! Lots of room for walkies. The breakfast is okay in a pinch but I recommend going somewhere nearby for breakfast. :)
4.3
It’s reasonably priced.. very clean.. and everyone is so kind. We love staying there.
4.3
My son and I stayed here for NYE and had a wonderful time. We are at the Speakeasy on the premises and had the best smashed burgers ever! The owners were lovely, and the live entertainment in the Speakeasy was such a treat. We would definitely stay here again.
4.3
Well located and great if you are traveling with pets. Friendly owner and staff. Nice lobby and breakfast area, but the Continental breakfast was underwhelming. Clean and comfortable room.
4.3
I thought the place was nice. We did have a noisy heating unit. Bed wasn’t real comfortable. But overall I would stay there again.
4.3
We really enjoyed the Speak Easy and the delicious Thanksgiving dinner!
4.3
Staff was very nice. Property is in need of updating.
4.3
I really enjoyed our stay for the weekend. I would highly recommend this motel.
4.3
Clean and tidy rooms . The price was great Retro look . PET FRIENDLY at a reasonable cost . Check in was a breeze . Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherokee / Smokies . Restaurants and shopping soooo close .
4.3
First of all, the "restaurant" is closed. Breakfast consisted of coffee, lucky charms and black bananas and stale mini pastries. The ice machine is locked up at 9 pm and often doesn't work at all. The staff was notified that someone had dumped pop in front of our door, but they never cleaned it up. Grumpy staff. Not worth the price.
4.3
Room was okay, jets on the tub were out of order. Light outside the door was out.
4.3
I love this place and the staff are superb and now there is so much to do at night too!! Gorgeous views off the porches and the large safe backyard and creek is the ultimate playground for doggies.
4.3
Stayed thereca few times always clean and well kept staff has always been very helpful
4.3
continental breakfast was excellent. Room smelled like urine, but was clean. Windows would not stay open to air out. Had to purchase Fabreze from store for Oder. Toilet seat was loose. Large gap under entrance door over an inch - put pillows there to close out noise. Bathroom door would not close. Coffee pot leaked water due to a crack in the plastic.
4.3
The pool was out of order but we were not told that until we arrived, our air conditioner in our room did not work well. They have a "Speakeasy" which uses a huge part of the motels parking spaces so you can not even park by your room and the traffic is horrible. The staff however was wonderful and tried very hard to accommodate us
4.3
The staff was really great super friendly woman at the front desk. Nice and quiet room i dont think i ever heard a sound.
4.3
It was a good stay like location. Parking was tight. Especially in the evening when had a band in bar playing. Bartender was awesome other than the parking on next trip I’ll be booking a room there.
4.3
This is the greatest place to stay in Maggie Valley, hands-down. Joseph, the owner, is the bomb and so awesome. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. All of the amenities are spot on like the creek, fire pit, pool, restaurant/bar/lounge, had live music. Breakfast. Plus, walking distance to most everything. I could not have been any better and this is our new go to place when we come to Maggie Valley. Oh, and of course the room was fantastic.
4.3
Dated. Basic tv, very few power outlets, cheap amenities, very poor breakfast, poor attitude of staff
4.3
The desk clerk is a gem. Rooms are average, nothing remarkable one way or another. Super dog and biker friendly.
4.3
We go to Maggie Valley a few times a year and always stay at the Meadowlark Motel. It is nestled right up to the creek and is always clean. The rooms are retro and rustic, which is great for the mountains. If you want fancy, this is not for you, but if want a clean room in a great and beautiful location, this is it.
4.3
We have stayed here before and is our favorite hotel in Maggie Valley. Staff is always great as well as our room. Just a little disappointed this time the pool wasn't open. Looking forward to staying here again.
4.3
Beautiful creek runs along the back and there is a large tree lined lawn. Great place to relax.
4.3
Clean and friendly with a retro vibe, and a restaurant that serves an excellent home cooked North Carolina cuisine.
4.3
This is an old retro style motel. The main building and office nicely furnished and there is a restaurant, and bar area, which we did not try. Outside is pleasantly landscaped, parking adequate. When it comes to the rooms, there was much to be desired in terms of upgrades. The beds, however, were comfortable, which I guess is the most important thing for us. Other things were minor annoyances, like a window that would not stay open by itself, old toilets that are small and very low, the shower and tub were kind of falling apart, TV not so great. But overall, it met our basic needs. No one told us that we had to ask for more towels, soap (the tiniest bars I've ever seen) and trash bags. Housekeeping was basically non-existent.
