Our stay here was an absolute dream. We loved it to so much. Our highlights include:
-the warm welcome by staff upon our arrival
-easy communication with the staff
-the stunning property and grounds
-the views of Loch Ness
-the welcome basket with a variety of food in our apartment
We’ll never forget our stay here. Thank you, Highland Club!

My wife, and I are on holiday with the in-laws who have never been to the UK. We flew into Inverness and drove the pleasant drive to Fort Augustus. We drove onto the property a little early, but thought to just grab a bit to eat at the Boat House until the timing was just right.
We were greeted by Marty. After ringing to find reception. (The signs didn’t clearly indicate to -keep going- back toward reception, they were also difficult to read for someone that needs a bit stronger contrast in type face).
The property was amazing! We loved our apartment and just how equipped it was. Fully prepared for carry-in food prep. It was just the respite we needed. We loved being able to do a load of laundry, while also exploring the property! We were in the Abbey. My MIL had jokingly said “awww can we stay just one more night please please please?!” lol.
I think it would be a nice touch to have a parking chart, two people in our party have pretty bad knees. And back by reception seemed congested. But overall it was still worth the extra steps!
I definitely should have booked another night at The Highland Club. It is a great location for Loch Ness, we did a nice drive to Isle of Skye and the Fairy Pools. We also did a photoshoot on the property and my little nerd heart was in a wizarding haven.

This is one amazing place. The grounds are beautiful, great place to walk. The room was out of this world, so comfortable, making it easy to relax. Village very close and easy to walk to shop and dine. The restaurant on the grounds was wonderful. The staff at check in was friendly and helpful, answered all questions with no fuss.

One of the coolest and most unique stays ever... Staff was helpful, knowledgeable and only made our extraordinary experience that much more enjoyable.. Highly recommend. We were in AC12... It was maybe nicer than some of the apartments I actually lived in.. The grounds are breath taking... They have an unbelievable game room.. and a gym &pool we did not visit. Right off Loch ness.. the boat tour is a few yards away, u don't even have to cross the street... Highly recommend.

Beautiful building - lovely apartment with high ceilings as per renovation of the Abbey and conversation into flats. Spacious too. Annoying were the fire doors which forces all doors to be closed continuously.

Great 2 nights stay. Warm welcome & great tour of the property.
AC23 were very comfortable & clean. Really spacious with lots of kitchen equipment. Appreciated the electric vehicle charging points. Plenty of parking spaces. Access to swimming pool complex was a big bonus. Very close to walking into Fort Augustus.

Enjoyed our stay, the pool was lovely albeit very inconvenient booking system, food choices very limited and pretty much only unhealthy junk food available

The abbey was an amazing experience, excellent service and the grounds are beautiful. The town was quaint and definitely worth a visit.
The only issue we had was the dryer didn't work as it was a combo unit, but management did dry our clothes.

Upgraded and nice with lots of amenities however there are a few minor things that need to be fixed: the bedroom doors doesn’t stay open and water from the shower spills into the bathroom

Absolutely loved the highland club.

Very clean and great location. The grounds were nice and a great place for walking around. The complementary basket was great and we used most of the items! It was nice to make homemade pasta and not have to go out to restaurants for 3 meals a day.

Unique place to stay but I am glad we were only there one night. The apartment had limited seating (only one loveseat) and super heavy fire doors between each room. Done for fire code but I have never seen its like!

The staff is very friendly, helpful, genuinely happy, and amazing! The property had an old world feel of building and grounds with a touch of modern was amazing! The gift basket that was left for us was filled with ample food, snacks, and wine for our visit. The town surrounding The Highland Club is small, cute, convenient, and everyone made you feel welcome.

Incredible setting & historic building. Nice pool, steam room and sauna. Well-appointed apartment with plenty of space. Great spot for exploring Loch Ness & Fort William/Glencoe/Inverlochy. We were a little worried about no breakfast on-site & didn’t know if we could get to a grocery store the first night, but the Highland Club graciously provides you a welcome basket with cereals, biscuits etc, coffee & tea plus fruit & milk. The petrol station in town contains a well-stocked general store with everything you could want, including frozen foods, fresh pastries & alcohol. The history of the building is wonderful. We stayed over Halloween & it was the perfect, spooky backdrop.

The Highland Club is easily one of the best stays I've ever had -- a scenic, luxurious, and historic setting at the edge of Loch Ness and in a cute small town with restaurants and shopping. The room itself was quiet, spacious and relaxing. They offer a variety of leisure activities, including a gorgeous swimming pool. The restaurant on the property is on the water and has good food and stunning views. You can't ask for better from a stay at this beautiful place.

Was great, very comfortable and luxurious stay …we had a great time as a family!

What a beautiful place, the apartment was spotless, with an amazing welcome pack. Takes some time getting used to where everything is but that is part of the charm of the place. Make sure you book the pool as soon as you can to avoid disappointment, they say that only 10people will be in pool at one time, not true, people will abuse this as there is no one to check you in or out. Also I think its a bit cheeky to as you to pay to swim after 6pm Thur-Sun, should be included.

This property was not done justice by the mere images, a camera can simply not capture the beauty and comfiness of the place.

I liked that it was clean and tidy there was lots of rooms and there is a pool and there is a place with pool(game) and a giant chess set the only thing is that i will not recommend with prammy

The apartments are well stocked and there is a lot to do on site for the family. We had a great stay!

Friendly staff to greet us and show us around.
Apartment was absolutely lovely, had everything we needed and more. But, lots of stairs!
The pool and sauna/steam room is lovely, but showers and changing area is lacking.
Pool/ snooker room is great, but pool tables are too close together.
Garden grounds ate stunning. Very central location. Would definitely recommend!

We wanted to experience a somewhat historic place and The Highland club fit this. Situated in what was once a Fort, then became an Abbey & school… it has an interesting history. The property is lovely and the location in Fort Augustus cannot be beat. We had a 2 bedroom flat- it was spacious and well appointed.
Check in was challenging. Evidently, there are 3 different groups that manage the property. There is no clear “check in” area. We found an office for one group who phoned the correct office- then waited several minutes for the person we needed to come to us. That person was friendly and gave us a complete tour of what was available for us at the property- which is substantial!
Another thing to note: no lift. Our flat was on the 3rd floor so we had to haul luggage up 4.5 flights of stairs… we just didn’t expect that.
Kitchen was fairly well appointed with lots of pantry items included.
We wish they would have provided a map of the buildings & grounds on a single sheet of paper (or easily accessed app/download). It was easy to get lost in the buildings.
The restaurant on the property is managed by a different group. We stopped in for a pint- but we’re made quickly aware that staffing is an issue- the servers were all very young and inexperienced and the man who seemed to be the manager just seemed like he was scolding them as opposed to training. The location, again, is the best reason to go there, but we didn’t eat there. The Bothy pub provided better service.

Great property. Recommend paying attention to checkin times as this is not staffed 24 hours for checkin. The overall property and surroundings are spectacular.

The property was amazing and Marty was an excellent host! The rooms were clean and the gift basket and milk in the fridge to get us started was a nice touch. The beds aren’t the super comfy - but everything else is perfect and great walking distance to the town.

Beautiful place to stay in the Highlands! Lauren gave us an orientation to this beautiful abbey - we had no idea of the amenities there which we did not have time to fully enjoy. Would be an awesome place to stay at if you had more time to relax. Keep in mind no elevators to carry luggage - we were on the third floor.

Excellent place, gorgeous location, nice facilities. All the apartments are different, so I can only write about 3 Abbey Church. It's very spacious and looks lovely but a few things aren't that practical, like the sofas don't face either the TV or the view, and the kitchen table has a glass insert that just collects crumbs that you can't get out. Location on the ground floor only 25m from the pool.

Wonderful place, get there early so you can enjoy all amenities. Great bedding, good night sleep. Unbelievable welcome basket, fruits, wine, biscuits, very much appreciated!

Location was great, right on Loch Ness. It was a great central location for our stay while exploring all over the highlands. This place has such a unique history and it was neat being able to see the features of the old abbey from within our suite. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay with kids, they brought a crib and high chair for the baby. Would definitely stay here again!

Warm and efficient welcome. Very well equipped apartment which was spacious and comfortable. Excellent facilities - tennis, snooker, chess, pool, sauna, steam room. The club was just perfect for our needs. No lift which was the only drawback.
