Beautiful hôtel particulier with great history and a gentleman founder who aims at you feeling home.

Beautiful hotel, great location and friendly staff.
Issues: shower wouldn’t drain (they fixed it quickly), room was a bit cold and the thermostat didn’t go above 21, the curtains wouldn’t close.

This hotel was fantastic. The service was very good. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The best part was the quality of the bed and pillows. Only one complaint, I know the french appreciate their old original hardwood floors, however this one was so terribly noisy I bet I woke up whomever was downstairs every time I went to the bathroom.

Overpriced for what you get in return. Maybe a 3.5 star at BEST. Small room, very soft bed, tiny bathroom and shower (even by European standards). Below average breakfast. The hotel has really declined since we last stayed here in 2021. Very run down, appears no upkeep is being done. The “hot” breakfast items are lukewarm at best. Not a great overall experience. Disappointing for the price paid. Look elsewhere if you are considering this property. We travel often and this experience left a lot to be desired. Now the AI/bot will add a standard response to my comments. I don’t even know why they bother 🙄

Amazing....we wish we had more time here...we will be back.
This is a great mansion converted to a hotel in 2018...worth the experience

I didn’t like the hotel at all. It’s not what I expect for the price I paid. Aside of that I didn’t get the VIP treatment no room upgrade nor courtesies.

This boutique hotel is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful property and very conveniently located with great concierge services, responsive and knowledgeable communicating with you in person and through Whatsapp during your stay. Highly recommend.

I have stayed at this property probably 8 times now — I have lost count. There is a reason why I do so. Aside from being a beautiful boutique hotel, staff is consistent and very welcoming. I’ve stayed in several different types of rooms and although each one is different — this is not a big box hotel — my preference are the junior suites prestige. Right price, right accommodations, right size.

Repeat guest. My go to hotel in Paris. My favorite rooms are the suites. Worth the extra dollars.

It's a very nice hotel. The only problem was with the service. Several times towels were missing after the room was made up, water wasn't replaced, and coffee wasn't replaced. We had to call the front desk several times for these items. Breakfast service was not very attentive. We had to go look for the waiter repeatedly to get coffee and refills of coffee. One server was unpleasant and unfriendly and acted like we were bothering him. The coffee machine wasn't functioning properly. The front desk said they would send someone. After an hour and a half I went to the front desk to ask again for assistance. They were surprised no one had come yet. I waited another half hour before someone finally came to the room. This sort of thing is really not acceptable in a hotel that charges these prices.

My wife and I went to Paris to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary and stayed at Hotel Alfred Sommier. The hotel is located central on a smaller, less busy street. The aesthetics of the hotel is lovely. The perfectly restored 19th century interior with a modern touch, makes this hotel the perfect setting for a Parisian getaway. We stayed in a superior room and it was unfortunately quite small and narrow. We asked for the possibility of upgrading the room, but unfortunately this wasn’t possible due to no available deluxe rooms. The storage space was limited and the placement of the wardrobe made it very difficult to use the integrated mirror. If it wasn’t for the high ceilings and lovely windows the room would feel even smaller. The glass wall in the shower was far too short and there was no door, which resulted in water spraying everywhere. The basin was very deep and there wasn’t a makeup mirror, which made it very hard to get up close to the mirror for both shaving and for my wife to do her makeup. Every morning we had breakfast at the hotel and it was very nice, especially the baguettes, the butter, selection of cheese and the yoghurt. The staff were very friendly and helpful, both upon early arrival and letting us store our luggage after checkout. We will definitely come back, but next time we will book the deluxe room instead.

This was my second stay at Alfred Sommier. Some highlights included friendly reception Victoria, spacious room, location of property being in walkable distance to most sights. Some drawbacks included poor concierge team who were not very helpful with making reservations, unfriendly breakfast room staff. The hotel also hosted conferences during our stay and as a result of their small space were not able to accommodate hotel guests for a drink or snack in the bar area.

Hotel room was nice & clean and staff helpful. Breakfast however was big disappointed and really expensive for cold omelette and old fruit salad. Otherwise we had lovely stay at this hotel.

I wasn’t happy with how stubborn the property was about the refund for cancellation but they did upgrade me to a better room which made it a little better.
The property itself has a lot of character and I loved staying there. The staff is friendly and helpful. The courtyard was my favourite part.
Orion and Alex ; thank you for making my stay great!

Bellman not there on arrival. Construction jack hammer during the day. No iron in room. Went to bar no one there than guy comes to cover and wasn’t familiar with bar. They did give us early checkin. Property was nice. At breakfast was overpriced and ok.

Exactly what we were looking for, fantastic room overlooking a quiet courtyard in a small, well located, luxury hotel. Perfect.

We have stayed at this property several times over the thousands of hotels available in the city of Paris. It checks off all of the boxes for us and most importantly, it like staying in a home. In fact, it was a home, part of the owner's family, some of which was converted into a 80 room hotel. It was wonderful seeing much of the same staff in place after Covid lockdowns and we look forward to staying again soon. July to be exact.

Trivelig historisk hotell.

From the very start the stay was more like a 3 star and not a 5 star hotel. I booked this hotel because it was my birthday. We didn’t get an upgrade when we knew there were rooms available because it showed on Expedias website. The staff in the restaurant were very slow, and the door man was sitting inside when we arrived and didn’t even help us at the door. There was food left outside our room for 2 days. The plaster guy was working on the walls next to our room and the ladder he used was outside in the staircase for the entire day and evening. All things that are not indicative of a 5 star hotel. I think there needs to be better management of the property because it felt very mediocre.
