The room wasn’t completely clean when we checked in, we had to borrow a vacuum to clean up debris left from prior guests. The staff lives on premesis but nobody actually staffs the front desk. You have to ring a doorbell & bother them anytime you need something. Since the pool is under lock & key anytime you want to use it you must sign up & ring the doorbell & get the key & the staff just doesn’t seem to want to be bothered. Nobody was rude, but for what seems like a small family run business they don’t seem very happy to be there. The place would be so much better if they would just allow everyone to use the pool without the hassle. Oh and they leave their dogs in a fenced area outside all day & anytime someone walks by the bark like crazy. So forget trying to take an afternoon nap between activities.

Room was dirty. Shelf with coffee pot had dust thick enough to write your initials. Outdoor furniture was too dirty to use. Floor in bath and sink area was dirty, Towel used to wipe it came up black. Bedside lamp was broken, socket hanging off base. Owners little dog yapped constantly day and night. One and done, never to return.....

In short, the room I stayed in was pretty gross. The whole room smelled very musty AND I could also smell the gas from the furnace; the floors hadn't been vacuumed or mopped and there was dirt smudges all over; the toilet hadn't been cleaned and there were marks inside the toilet bowl as well as the seat needing to be wiped down before I could use it; the toilet paper roll I was given had water marks on it like it had been dropped in a puddle and dried out; there was old food left in the fridge; the countertops hadn't even been wiped down, and when I put papers down on the counters they got grease stains all over them.
I alerted the office my first morning and asked that they clean the room while I was out for some meetings before 11am. When I got back, nothing had been done and the gentleman at the front desk just said that he had alerted his cleaning crew. I had to work from the room for the rest of the day, so I told him it was too late. The cleaning lady did come by and was very apologetic and very kind, but the gentleman at the front didn't seem to care at all.
I hope that this was just an oversight and the room accidentally got skipped for any cleaning beyond fresh towels and sheets, but still, I will not stay here again.

Excellent value for money. Convenient location for Snow Valley. Bit of a drive for Snow Summit/ Big Bear, especially if a snow storm hits.

The inside of the hotel room was adorable but was cold. The fireplace was an electric heater but did not generate enough heat to warm up the small room. Bring your heaters. There was not enough parking in the parking lot. Add more parking and another heat source and our stay would have been pleasant.

Wife and I needed a last minute room overnight on the mountain. Usually this means sacrificing quality for a fair rate. Not so with the Giant Oaks Lodge. We hadn't stayed here before, but we enjoyed the room and the service so much we will stay again.
Thank you Bryson for taking care of us and accommodating our oversize parking needs.

We had a great long weekend here. The kids had fun with our hour of the pool each day (each room can book an hour to use it). Not all the walks were scooped initially, but more were cleared each day. Parking lot is a bit tight. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The heat was via the fireplace (controlled by the thermostat). So the bathroom stays chilly (especially if you close the door). It was nice to have three beds (we had a king and a full/twin bunk beds). Just a note, the bottom bunk is tight. My kids couldn't sit up without hitting their heads. It was too claustrophic for all but one of us to sleep there. There are mirrors covering the top half of two of the walls. The mini-fridge had dedicated freezer (and ice trays) which was handy. Huge TV with good channel selection and a DVD player. Warm bedding and nice pillows. Thick bath towels. And a full size garbage can. And floor towels were provided for keeping the wet snow from boots making dirty puddles.

This is one of my favorite places in Running Springs! If you want to ski Snow Valley, it's perfect! Technically it's not a 5 star with room service, spa facilities, club house. it's 5 star in experience! They do have a pool and jacuzzi. That is a little basic, but again, it's the experience. Very cute touches like mood lights under our TV, fridge & micro in a compact area, and closet that is well equipped.

This is a nice and convenient place only 10-12 minutes from Snow Valley. Dining options are very close. There supposedly is housekeeping service, but they never came to our room. There also are supposed to be coffee makers in the room, but we didn’t have one, despite what the manager said.
But it is comfortable. Amenities provided: good size fridge, microwave, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion.
If you want to use the pool, you need to sign up in the morning. We didn’t get to use it. Oddly, they only allow one room at a time at the pool. It was supposed to be for the pandemic, but for some reason, that still is the policy.

The heating was powerful but stopped working for a few hours in the morning but we didn't lose much heat as the room was insulated well until the heater was back on.
The fixed shower head is not the best with small kids.

Not only was the room organized in such a way as to maximize every inch, but there was thought given to every inclusion, from the right amount of cups, coffee, ice, paper towels, and information about the area. The staff was VERY kind, and the amenities (the indoor pool and hot tub) were absolutely perfect. Thanks so much, we WILL be back!

Wow is what comes to mouth first when I want to share about my stay here... this spot is a gem!!! I love the rustic log-cabin-like feel to my large and accommodating room. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large and clean and the fireplace as well as tiny kitchenette made this room the most magical lovely solo getaway for me preparing for an intensive professional retreat, including using it as a workspace with all of the varied comfortable seating options. Highly recommend this place and would love to return!

Good value and clean. I am glad I brought ice with me otherwise you had to get ice from motel
lobby 's small portable home ice makers. Also shower water is so strong I had to put a washcloth around head so it wouldn't peel off my skin. TV should be mounted on wall across from beds for better viewing.

The 3 bed spa lodge room was large, had a balcony and all the amenities to make it feel like a nice living room. The large TV had an incredible amount of satellite stations. The large fake log fireplace was controlled by the room thermostat and provided a cozy atmosphere. We found a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and even paper cups, plates and plastic cutlery! A few small glitches such as a faulty toilet shutoff valve and the fact that the hot shower valve was installed in reverse were in our opinion no big deal. The room and bathroom were clean and the whole 2 night experience exceeded our expectations.

Staff was very friendly, the units have all been updated and are cute. They built in seating bars, microwaves and mini fridges which was nice. The pool & hot tub were indoors, heated and only one family at a time which was very nice. Both families that rented had room heating issues which made the stay a little uncomfortable. The wall heater in my room simply would not go on, and my friends heater was a fireplace which was not very easy to figure out. It takes a very long time to warm the room, but eventually in the late evening it warmed for them. My room however was very very cold. Parking was great and the hotel is very conveniently located next door to a great equipment rental store for skiing, and down the street from a wonderful breakfast spot. Overall it was good with only the heating issue.

When we first got in, we were given a room with no heater with 30 degree weather and windy.
The room was freezing and I have a baby. My family was freezing we were all wearing coats and stuff inside just to stay warm.
Only a couple hours later, did they tell us to change to a room with a heater.
Then it was much better. But we were not able to enjoy our evening because we were freezing an they weren't doing anything about it. At least we were able to sleep comfortably because we were finally given a room with a heater.

I booked the family cabin for a weekend girls night out. Spend 2 nights, total of 3 adults and 4 kids.
Pros: Staffs are friendly, check in is easy. There’s a restaurant and gas station right next to lodge. There’s kitchen inside cabin, a must have when travel with kids, but no dishwasher. Love the fireplace gas heater. Kids love the indoor pool and spa. Bed are comfortable. 3 TVs. Full size fridge, microwave, toaster, stove, coffeemaker, pots and pans.
Cons: there’s only 1 bathroom for 7 people, and shower and toilet are together, that means when someone is taking care of business the others cannot use shower. And when there’s 7 people, the waiting can frustrating. And it takes a while for water get hot again for next shower. And I don’t like shower head. the water pressure is so high that it is actually painful when water hit body.
There’s no dishwasher. I noticed the mugs and cups are very dirty, have to wash them manually. Finally I got tired of washing, just used disposable cups instead.
There is mini market , pizza restaurant and Mexico restaurant across the road. But you can’t get there by foot. It is a busy road, not safe to cross. So we took the car just to cross highway, kind of annoying.

The room was smoke-saturated. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It was the only room remaining and i did not take it, bc i have allergies to cig smoke. My 7 year old son and i had to drive down the mountain in the blowing snow at 10:30pm and go home early. VERY disappointing....

Room #102 gas heater is extremely noisy.
We couldn't sleep at night when the heater turn on and off like a pinball machine.
Its winter btw!
1.5 / 5.0
The heater was broken, we had a space heater that didn't help much.
Rather than that, it was ok.
Considering been at the mountain during Fall, the heater needed to be working.
