The beds were a little too hard, and the pillows were flat. You must walk the stairs with your bags. The hostess was very helpful in helping carrying the bags up 3 flights of stairs. You cannot check in until 5. You can store your bags near the Bayeaux train station at Nannybags.com and pick them up later.

This was a great place! Right downtown and near all sorts of things, museums, cathedrals, restaurants.
The folks there were very friendly and the room was great!

Lovely house, in the Centre of Bayeux. A couple of things detracted from an otherwise great stay : there’s little noise insulation (we could clear hear, and I guess be heard, by people walking in the hallway) and the shower was weak - host advised it’s because of water quality in Bayeux (calcium)

Wonderful place to stay. Close to the Tapestry and Cathedral in Bayeux. We were welcomed with great service and had a beautiful view of the Cathedral from our room. Everything was just superb.

Lovely property. Manager so sweet and helpful! Only negative is 5pm check in seemed a little late to me.

very close to the cathedral and nice restaurants
Clean and comfortable room and bath, great windows with lots of light
Our room is a bit small, which seems common for European hotels

When I first made the reservation a few property amenities actually did not exist ….most importantly an elevator and our rooms were on the third floor. Lugging luggage up three floors is no piece of cake. Also a point of interest there is no A/C in the rooms. Thankfully we experienced cool weather while we were there.

This is a very comfortable and very clean hotel with nice hosts. However, it is an older building with limited access to plugs to use to charge your phone or other devices. We had just one plug available in our room, and this was in the bathroom. My husband and I had to stagger our charging to keep our devices useful. I consider this a minor inconvenience, but others might find it difficult. Breakfast was good, although choices did not vary day to day, and there were no hot/warm offerings. No toaster available, which would have been nice. The biggest negative to this hotel was the late check in time……..5:00. We arrived at 3:00 on the train from Paris, and had to drag our suitcases with us until someone arrived to let us in at 5:00. The doors are locked and there is no option for dropping suitcases early before check in, as is available at most other hotels. This would not necessarily keep me from rebooking this hotel, as it was a pleasant stay and very convenient to downtown Bayeux. However, I would most likely spend some time researching other hotels with a less severe check in time.

We had a large room with a bathroom on the top floor. The room was clean and comfortable and we were able to park on site for a small additional fee. Breakfast was continental. Very convenient location just a short walk from downtown, the cathedral, and the tapestry.

Nice hotel, the only issue is that the check in is from 5 to 8… breakfast starts at 8… but most of the excursions start at the same time…
On the other hand, it is just three blocks from where all the tours leave and it has a small parking area in the front.

Interesting building very close to town centre, Tapestry Museum, cathedral and plenty of places to eat out (no evening meal offered). Room and breakfast area clean and presentable. Hosts friendly - Séverine speaks English. Stair carpet getting a bit old and musty (there is no lift). Free public parking 2 or 3 hundred metres away. A few parking places being made on the site.

We stayed in the separate 3-bedroom unit behind the main house. It was perfect for our family of 5. The location is perfect for touring Normandy sites. The town of Bayeux is wonderful with good restaurant choices.

A brief, but lovely stay in Bayeux. The interiors are beautifully appointed, and our host was most welcoming. A brief notice about parking would be helpful prior to arrival.
Delicious breakfast.

Lovely property! We stayed in the carriage house and it was Lovely and spacious. Be sure to pay close attention to the email you receive the day of arrival. It had specific arrival directions/map that were quite helpful. We walked from the train station in the rain & it was no problem. Was also within walking distance to many restaurants

This property only has staff and its main doors open for a little while after breakfast (while housekeeping is done) and then 5-8pm during check in time. We came across a couple who took a taxi and arrived at 4pm and were sitting outside in the cold weather. We allowed them in through the locked side door for already checked in guests so that they could sit inside a couch outside of our bedroom until the building opened. We were unable to let them into the main lobby.
The next day we compared notes with that couple on how cold we all were. The radiators in the rooms even at full power were barely giving any warmth. We also noticed that there were steady strong cold drafts coming through some of the windows in our room. In wet, windy 30 F degree weather, it seems like a basic requirement to provide heat. The breakfast while beautifully laid out seemed sparse - we are used to continental breakfasts. I am at a loss at all of the 10/10 ratings - perhaps this is why Orbitz is rejecting my rating.

This charming hotel was just the right place to experience the quaint town of Bayeux. Severing made us feel so welcome and was very helpful. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I’d go back in a minute!

Lovely staff, Francoise and Severine, who are charming and welcoming to their guests. Breakfast at the communal table is enjoyable. Two minute walk from the cathedral, and five minute walk from the center of town, quiet and safe. We would stay here again.

The guesthouse is very charming. It is clean which is important to us. It is located close to shopping, restaurants and many historic places. The manager is very helpful. It includes breakfast which is along the lines of a continental breakfast. There are no hot choices. The only drawback is that check-in is between 5 and 8 pm. So if you arrive early you can leave luggage outside and walk around.

The design of the building itself was beautiful and unique (old French charm). The rooms were a bit chilly, though. Tough adjusting the heat to proper temp.

Very nice stay at Le Castel. Lovely breakfast each morning. Françoise and her daughter were very helpful to us. Convenient location, within walking distance of the cathedral, the BAYEUX tapestry, and numerous good restaurants.

This is such a warm, inviting B&B right in the heart of Bayeux! The host is super friendly and spoke English. You can walk everywhere you need to go from the B&B with endless food and little shopping options. The room was spacious with views of the cathedral, and very quiet. Great place to kick off tours of the area! Breakfast was also delicious with homemade items!

A remarkable property, a great room, and a great breakfast. Extremely convenient to the town and to the tour origination stops. The only negative is the parking, but there is good street parking (free) about 100 yrds from the property. Highly recommended.
