We had a two night stay in a villa with a private pool. However, despite the high price we paid for our stay, we were barely able to enjoy the pool because it started to empty in the middle of our stay. The hotel staff told us that the next day they would solve the problem, which was the case, however we could not properly enjoy our honeymoon, and they did not offer us any other type of alternative or discount on the price, for not having enjoyed the stayed as expected. The staff, in general, is friendly, although if you have a problem they will not give you many explanations.

The view from this property steals the show. However this comes with a very remote location, the roads are very uneven. There's a shuttle 3x a day to main parts of island but this isn't enough (and a very uncomfortable journey). Taxis are quite hard to come by, so unless you rent a scooter it's hard to get around. However the property itself is beautiful and I would say the remote location is worth the views.

Very disappointing experience overall. We stayed for one night, based on the pictures it was a lovely & premium hotel. The build & furnishing in the rooms was mostly very good, the staff was nice and kind and the room had some good features like the bath tub, big shower, nice private pool and a gorgeus sunrise view. The food was also good, a little overproced though. However the service was not so great, they charged us 150000 rupia for getting to the hotel from the harbor. The ride was in these open-back cars much like on a safari and the roads were terrible quality, and the driver was driving very fast, so it was very bumpy and uncomfortable, even dangerous. When we arrived after a 10 minute ride we were getting off the car with our luggage and then the driver told us that we r not there yet, we just got some supplies that the hotel needed, then we needed to turn around and drive for another 15 minutes - I dont know why they could not tell us before or why do they need to get supplies when transporting guests when the car ride is very uncomfortable in itself. Sleeping in the room was very difficult, some insect or animal was on/in the roof and making constant noises through the night. The water in the taps/shower was very unstable, since the water tanks are further up the hill. There were also little quality problems in the room, like sticky bathroom door, stains on the sheets/bed, no stairs in the private pool. Overall I would have expected a much better for the money.

The atmosphere of the whole hotel was lovely. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the pool was amazing. We also enjoyed the beautiful views from the pool and rooms. The food was good, and although the hotel was remote we hired a moped so getting around the island was fine. Our main criticism was the bathroom. The bathroom was outside, making it have a damp smell and bugs from the bathroom would come into our bedroom from under the door. We also had the same problem as there was a gap under the main door as well. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle so maybe this is to be expected but we found it quite off putting. Overall a pleasant hotel, wonderful staff but some tlc is needed to make the bedrooms more comfortable.

Staff was really bad. Wanted extra cash for the complimentary shuttle services that are offered. Definitely not a 5 star hotel and not at all located in a nice area. Please consider a lower star hotel in a better are closer to the north of the island

Beautiful site. The view is amazing from the bungalows and all around the pool area. The staff offers an excellent service. The restaurant offers delicious food. A special thanks to Desi and Utah for the amazing services. The message at the spa is a bit expensive comparing to other treatments we had. Although they offer an excellent massage. I definitely recommend this hotel for lovers and others seeking tranquillity. A bit for from the restaurants and beaches if you want to walk… it’s important to know… basically, nobody walks on the island. Scooters and shuttles are offered everywhere.

Lovely pool area, and staff friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the hotel is located quite far away from the main area, suitable if you were to get motorbikes or happy to get the shuttle mixed with walking. Lots of steps from the bottom rooms to the top, probably not suitable for those unable to use steps.
Should have opted for the sea view rooms rather than the suites.
The room smelt like a damp fusty smell, not sure if this was from the aircon or if because our room was below the rooftop pool villa.
Overall good hotel if you are looking just to relax and stay away from the hustle and bustle.

Beautiful views, nice rooms, friendly staff. It is a bit remote, but they have a shuttle.
We booked the halfboard, but wouldn’t recommend that. It’s not worth the extra price and options are limited. Better to just order food in the restaurant of the hotel I would say, more options than with halfboard and same price in the end.

This was an enchanting paradise with spectacular views. No need to leave the property but if you do staff make venturing out easy. Would definitely go back.

Amazing location, privately place on-top of the hills overlooking the inlet and Chenigan island. Staff all very kind and professional. Our complimentary breakfast was very generous. Pool positioned perfectly for views & close to restaurant.
A sanctuary to relax & unwind. Adjoining villas do share neighbour noise, but overall the room was very good. Thank you & we hope to see you again.

We enjoyed how peaceful this place was. No noise in the night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful.
The amount of the worms/centipedes was somewhat disturbing, especially when they came to our room.

Nuri the manager as well as the entire staff are wonderful! Every room has a great view. It is on the other side of the island and there are stairs, but it's the sunrise view, the beautiful property and the staff make up for this. There is a shuttle and scooters on the property available. The restaurant offers great options. We would definitely stay here again and we didn't want to leave.

I loved the view. Did not like the insane flight of stairs that o w is restored to take if there rooms area a few levels below the lobby

Really great stay, no complaints. Complimentary massage was one of the best massages I’ve had. Restaurant had amazing flavorful food. Shuttle service was offered as well. Didn’t feel the need to step away from the property.

I travel 4-6 times per year, and I do different types of traveling, leisure, groups, business, solo and backpacking, and Acala is by far my WORST experience in life.
1. Location - Hotel locates far from the main roads and deep in the island where we have to go through long rides on bumpy roads with absolutely no lights for us to get back to the hotel. Hotel claims that they have shuttle rides but they actually have only one van which most of the time it is not available.
2. Mistakes on all bookings - We booked two things through the hotel, motorcycles and the a boat ticket from the island back to Sanur. They messed both up.
Motorcycle: We asked for two motorcycles for 9:30 am and only one motorcycle arrived. While we were waiting, my friend tried on the 1st motorcycle but that's his first time and the roads are very bumpy, he fell once right in front of the hotel and gave the motorcycle a scratch. So the hotel ask us to pay for repairs of the scratch, we agreed. Until 10 a.m., they pointed at a motorcycle (without side mirrors) that was parked in front of us the whole time and asked us to take that as the 2nd motorcycle. My other friend asked for one with side mirrors but they refused, then he wanted to ride, but the staff stopped him and said we can't handle motorcycles and shouldn't ride the first time on such bumpy roads. We finally decided alright we should give up then they said they would charge for full price of the two motorcycles plus the scratch. We agree to pa

We had a great time there! The hotel location is a bit not convenient, however, the shuttle and transport compensated for it! And in return, the view from the hotel is amazing! The service is wonderful, totally worth it! Btw the food in the restaurant is very high quality and tasty! Worth a try!

Amazing views of Nusa Lembongan with a great sunrise to be had there. It's on a more quiet part of the island with nothing much around however they have a shuttle that departs 4 times a day for the center. I recommend if you want to spend the day at Nusa Ceningan but might not be the best if you're looking for something lively. Get a scooter from the reception desl to get around would be easier. Pina Coladas are great but food menu could be improved.

Beautiful property with stunning views and great service. It's a little bit out of the way, but with free shuttles from the hotel and restaurants it's easy to get around and explore.

The Acala is definitely off the beaten path but well worth it. It's approximately 10 or 15 minutes to town. The staff are very accommodating and speak English very well. The Villa has breathtaking views, your own infinity pool and a beautiful room. The larger infinity pool near the restaurant was also amazing. The food was very good, but a few times menu items weren't available, that was ok and understandable being that we were on a small island. They have free shuttle service to various parts of the island at specific times of the day. We went surfing with Monkey Surfing guides and toured Devil's Tear with a driver from the Acala.....awesome! Ari from the Acala set up our fast boat to and from Lembongan, our transport to the Acala and transport from the fastboat to our next hotel. We were only on Lembongan for two days and enjoyed relaxing at the Acala, watching the most vibrant sunrises and sunsets!

I went to the Acala as part of a multi-stop trip throughout Bali. For both my friend and me, it was our favorite part of our trip! The hotel is intimate and adorable; its pool area is absolutely incredible, with a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the channel between Lembongan and Ceningan islands.
Breakfast is big- you can order as much as you want- and good. We did the floating breakfast for a small extra charge, and it was the most incredible breakfast of my life! The rooms are super clean, large, and nicely decorated; we especially enjoyed the outdoor bathroom. The staff is very friendly, willing to help with everything. It is a bit isolated (as most places on the island), so recommend having your own transportation. Note that there are many stairs on the grounds, so if you have mobility problems, it will be tough to navigate. Thank you Acala! We will be back.

We were looking for a moment of relaxation in Nusa Lembongan and this was the perfect place. The view on Nusa Ceningan from the bed, the infinity pool, the cosiness and cleanliness of the room, the very friendly and helpful staff makes it the place of wellness.

Our stay at the Acala was lovely. It was part of our honeymoon and they made such an effort for us. The pool is truly the highlight, such lovely views. It is great proximity to get to Ceningan Island via the yellow bridge and catch a 15 minute boat ride to Penida island.

Amazing little hidden gem on Lembongan.
Absolutely beautiful setting with gorgeous clean, cosy room. Bathroom outside added a nice touch.
Staff very friendly.
Breakfast great.
Pool with view over to Cenigan and the channel just breathtaking.
One of the best hotels I have ever been to as it combined modern luxury comforts with traditional way of life.
