Easy check-in, helpful and friendly staff.

The staff are extremely hostile. I would not recommend a person of colour to book into the facility.

The location is very central, but with that comes a very noisy street. Booked for the air-conditioner, told that it was not an option to turn on, Madrid was over 30c the days we were there, so we slept with the window open, unfortunately letting the noise in all night. The rooms need maintenance, the bathroon and shower were full of mould and smelt mouldy too. They have even tried painting over the grout in the shower with white paint to disguise the black, mould. Worst two nights in Madrid.

Good location and friendly staff.

Ok place but no place to hang clothes too dry. Nice bed, linens and towels. I liked it tho it was quite small. It has a lift, yay!

It’s not the type of stays that I use but it helped me to avoid the street…

Very welcoming hosts. We stayed in the room with the double bed for couples and were very happy. Good value for the price. Bathroom was ensuite and the shower was very good. Location was right in the centre, therefore it was a little noisy. All in all, an enjoyable stay.

Hostel clean. Walls of bedroom thin could hear the next room. Too noisy from outside aswell. Hostel and room old. Could not lock bedroom door in a double room, had to put bin against door.

This hostel is really two apartments from which some rooms were made a hostel and others a residence for the elderly. The owner is really kind and there is a person who makes sure that the bathrooms are clean. The building has an elevator.
The bad part is that there are only two bathrooms so you may have to wait for a long time. It would be great to have a sink somewhere outdoors. And there was bad smell in the room but that may have been due to other guests.
Moreover, I think that towels should be provided. Finally, free breakfast is served after 8 am. There could be some take away simple bags with a croissant and a cup of coffee maybe.

You get why you pay for! It’s clean and close to everything

Cramped and stifling - no airflow in the room and cramped conditions

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the place has a few quirks, but nothing that hurts it. Would stay again.

It’s central location and homey management were appreciated. The bathroom was nice and clean too. I’d have preferred an open window to air conditioning in the dormitory.

It’s a small cozy hostel. The style is family run. Nothing fancy. Great location. Breakfast. It’s simpke and cozy. Works well in my opinion.

The location of the hotel is great - very close to the main attraction in Madryd. During the night, a bit noisy outside but if you want to stay in a heart of Madrid with good price and don't expect 4stars hotel - this one is the good option.

the boss is nice, bedding is quite clear, bathroom is nice as well. near city centre, just a five minutes walk from sol station. for the first time it's a bit difficult to find since there's no big lightbox or ads outside the building
one of my best experience living in a hostel so far

This hostel is quite the experience. I LOVED it. The family who owns it also lives there, it is almost more like an AirBNB than hostel, so if you dont like the idea of the family being there, its best to book elsewhere. The rooms are separated in to two spaces. One side is more hostel like, with rooms, a kitchen and washroom. The other area, you walk through the familys living area to get to the rooms. I had the single bedroom, which was off the living and dining area. The family is very nice and not bothered when youre walking through (interrupting their dinner) they are quiet and warm and will help with anything you need. The location is perfect. Right in the heart of Madrid, a block from Sol and Plaza Mayor and a very short walk to Gran Via. The area is VERY loud at night, so if youre a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
