Excellent hotel to start our family reunion in Panama before heading to Playa Venao---friendly and helpful staff for our overnight in Panama City, great suggestion for local fair at restaurant off the plaza and Magnolia Inn is well situated in Casco Veijo and lots of places to check out in walking distance. Clean and comfortable!!

Worst hotel in 11 years in panama city. I couldn't not sleep. Neighbors play loud music day and night.

Very nice place. Rooms were very clean. Room had very needed A/C unit. Very comfortable.

Plumbing issues meant I was relocated to a nearby room that seemed like a B&B just a few blocks away. Rain fell into the small pool of the B&B building. But the room was fabulous!
5.0
Comfortable and a great location. Lots of opportunities around for shopping, night life, and food. And yet not terribly noisy.
2.0
We had trouble sleeping because the neighbor bar was blasting music and playing some movies of some sort. Stayed for one night and moved on.

The most incredible part of staying here was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I can’t emphasize enough how clear it was that they genuinely wanted us to have a pleasant stay. I also had the chance to experience three different rooms because I was part of a group over multiple days, and each room was clean and comfortable — AC and hot water and comfy beds (and again, the staff proactively noticed our reservations were a little complicated and went above and beyond to help us simplify them). We had easy and safe access to everything we wanted or needed (dining, shopping, sightseeing), and we were able to use the spacious gathering space for group meetings or personal time. I would definitely return here and recommend it to friends and family.

We were in a private room with its own bathroom. Great place in the heart of the historic district. Very comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location, convenient, close to restaurants, shops and so easy to get around - adorable boutique hotel - I had a great stay at Magnolia- excellent for the price! Staff is helpful and accommodating and speaks english fluently- They have a hostel too so its great if you need to leave bags and kill time after check out.
I stayed in the king suite (up the 4 flights of stairs) but it was fine! the view is beautiful- the room was private and comfortable with A/C and a coffee maker. It has a noise machine which I used since I read a bunch of reviews about noise issues but I had no problems with outside noise..
I am a solo female traveler and felt completely safe in the area. Walkable to everything in Casco Viejo (so many restaurants and stores and the architecture is breathtaking!) I took an uber to the canal one day which was only $7 and everyone is helpful and friendly.
Highly recommend taking the free tour of Casco Viejo.
I would absolutely stay here again!

Spotlessly clean and amazing location. This was our second stay at the Magnolia and I don't know that I'd stay anywhere else in Panama. Great value, highly recommended!

Had a great stay during my stopover in Panamá.

We stayed in room 19 on the 2nd floor. It was a good size and very comfortable. The aircon was effective.
The hotel has a great kitchen and guests’ lounge where you can prepare your meals if you wish.
The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and do.
The only downside was having to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs, but we knew that when we booked.

The Inn was in an interesting and walkable neighborhood. There were many stairs though and no elevator but perfectly pleasant

Had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Magnolia. My reservations were made on their website, without any difficulties, and my room was waiting for me. The property is located in the middle of the Caso Veijo area - very similar to the French Qtr. in NOLA. Great restaurants, bars and tourist gift shops are all over. The Panama Canal Museum, French Point and a couple of old churches are all within a very easy walk. All of my dinners were excellent and within a three-block walk from the hotel. I recommend staying here and would do so in the future

I was upgraded for free. My room on the 4th floor had excellent views of the city and was very comfortable.

Very, very convenient location. Fantastic shower. Super friendly staff. The first time we stayed there the mattress and bedding were great (7). The second time we had a mattress that needs to be replaced (10). Overall very good experience.

Nice hotel in a great spot in casco viejo. I stayed two nights and wasn’t shown the kitchen/ coffee area until another guest told me about it on the afternoon of the second day. Great place maybe work on orienting your guests a bit more

The hotel is in an old building so some of the rooms are a bit quirky but clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are very helpful. The second time we stayed at the property we chose a room on the top floor. Lots of stairs but the nighttime view was worth it.
10.0
In the middle of Casco Viejo. Great location to experience this old city. Appreciated helpfulness of staff with local tours, dining, and also the A/C for us non-tropical dwellers.

Great check in and help with area dining. Wonderful personnel. Would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Panamanian experience.

Terrible neighbourhood. Lots of homeless people were living under and adjacent to the hotel building. I did not feel safe to pass the area. I recommend Expedia to remove this property from their listing.
They said the room is located on ground floor but actually was under ground. The last day they applied pesticide on the hallways which was Trimble and could not breathe.
Such a relieve when I left the hotel and the area!

Great location and fairly comfortable. You were right in the middle of Casco Viejo, which is the best location in the area. You can easily reach all the great restaurants and shops. For budget travelers wanting to cook. They have a great kitchen and refrigerator and coffee in the morning with a balcony in the living room. It’s pretty cool. The only downsides we experienced was the girl working the day shift the front desk was very unfriendly. I never saw her smile once, and she would purposely sit there as you rang the bell and not let you in if you did not yet have the code or forgot the code. I watched people approach her with questions and she just was super unprofessional and unwelcoming to everybody. She just didn’t seem like she liked her job job. The evening front desk guy was really great and friendly and welcoming. Please give her some training !in customer service! Our room was had a large queen bed and a great shower, with one of those rain showerheads. The only bummer in the room is that none of the outlets worked except the ones in the bathroom so to charge our phones we had to lean them on the sink. There is no space in the bathroom for setting things down so we used the desk in the room for our toiletries. Also because the outlets were not working they hardlined the reading lights next to the beds into the ceiling so it was all or nothing. The room was super bright and you couldn’t have a reading light on. This area was great though !

We enjoyed our stay at Magnolia Inn. The staff at the front desk were really pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean - nice cold air con too. We liked the opportunity to get a tea or coffee in the shared kitchen though didn’t cook there.
The downside was a very noisy street outside our window. Though with ear plugs in it wasn’t too bad.

Loved having the option for airport transfer upon arrival to a new country. Great location for walking all around the old city. Clean and comfortable.

Easily accessible to most sites in casco viejo, staff are friendly, note that certain room has external bathroom.

The Magnolia Inn is a fantastic place to stay - located in the heart of Casco Viejo - so convenient and walkable! We stayed in a private room and it was super comfortable- we also loved the common areas, especially the balconies. Very affordable option in an otherwise expensive area!

This is an older hotel, and so lovely. It's very simple. It's a great location very near wonderful restaurants and bars. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.
6.0
It’s a simple hotel, not luxury. The immediate surrounding is not nice, but you can walk to the best part of the touristic town in 5 min or less, so it’s a very convenient location.
