The host tried to accommodate all my needs, and their staff is super friendly. The only thing I regret was not booking the room with ocean view, as the hotel is right next to the beach. The decorations of the hotel overall were also very cute.

Amazing room with balcony. We slept with the sliding door open to hear the beach waves.

The hotel was beautiful and only steps away from the beach! Our romantic birthday stay was perfect

Standard rooms are very small. Bathrooms are old with no tubs. Bath amenities are super cheap, small bar soap for shower. No exhaust fan in shower. Always get an upper level room for decent view. Outside is cute, but better as spot for like a "band playing a gig down at the montage rather a couple looking for a cute overnight.

The location was outstanding. Real no storage space for clothing. Hard water use to soft water. Customer service was great though.

It was a cute stay. Bed was a little hard and walls are thin. We stayed downstairs and you could hear people walking around upstairs and our neighbors next to us. Lobby was cute too

Watch out for deceptive websites. This hotel has a very limited view of the ocean. It is mostly rooftops. The decor is garage sale finds that do not match. The handle to transfer the water from the tub to the shower was missing so we had to do sponge baths. The breakfast tray was an overripe banana, a cheap packaged pastry, and a yogurt. There is construction next to the hotel. The upstairs rooms were situated over a row of trash dumpsters. I imagine the bottom floor has them under their windows. The outdoor decor is nice with groomed planters and it had free parking. But, you don't want to go inside.

Positives: nice staff, close to beach and restaurants, coffee in lobby, free parking, comfortable bed, clean
Downsides: overpowering air fresheners plugged into the room and bathroom that lingers even if you unplug them, rusting shower caddy, some street noise but we were able to sleep through it fine

This hotel offers affordable lodging in the heart of Laguna Beach. But that’s about it. First, the room reeked of Lysol—emitting from a wall socket “fresh scent” dispensor (which we unplugged). Room was uncomfortable. The A/C was blasting cold are. The system used a bizarre “international” remote with odd icons—which took an hour of trial and error to work. It was NOISY: traffic noise was constant, construction noise (on an adjacent residence) started at 6:30 am and went on until 6 pm. Rude guests woke us up at 1:00am and persisted until 2:30 am [there is no night manager to complain to]. Amenities were nonexistent. No pool. Beach towels and umbrellas can be rented at a price. “Continental” breakfast was a tiny shrink wrapped pastry and yogurt and a cheap keurig coffee—which wasn’t available until 7:30 am.

Great for the price

Check was great - staff was lovely. The room was very spacious, minus the bathroom, which was very small and in need of some maintenance. The pebble shower floor was falling apart and the window wasn’t working well. Cute kitchenette, spacious bed, great balcony. Flooring in the suite was coming apart. Major lack of lighting but luckily we weren’t in the room a ton. When we were, we spent a lot of time on the balcony listening to the ocean.
Very cute place. I recommend the jr suite!

BOOK A DIFFERENT HOTEL!!! If Laguna beach had a motel 6, this would be it. They need to take a bulldozer and knock this old thing down. I booked a “king temperpedic” bed only to find out all these rooms are QUEEN beds and there is no temperpedic to be found at this hotel. The customer service agent looked like a teenager and offered me a “nicer” room (still a queen bed) for an up charge. The true hotel manager would not come from behind her office door and help. The toilet paper is from the dollar store, the bed had hair, visible dirt and sand in them and me and my 6 foot husband had no room to sleep in the QUEEN bed. The overall premises is immensely old, motel vibes and the bathroom shower is nearly from the 80s and also DIRTY! It makes it worse that they LIE on the receipt and say you were issued a long bed. DO NOT BOOK this hotel you are not getting anything worth your money!

The staff was fantastic. They were cheerful and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright. There are walkways to the beach on each side of the hotel. It made is easy to go down when we wanted. The trolly stop is very close. Be aware that the bathroom is small, but the water pressure is fantastic!

I loved the area and the hotel was just OK. They are under construction and the room are not furnished well, no wall decor at all, very old sofas, look like they came from a thrift store. I would like to stay there again after it is completed. Staff was great, very friendly and energetic.

Great location. Friendly staff.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for the money you pay for the stay. On top of that they charge you for every little thing. If you need a crib, it is $25 A DAY, towels for beach $5, Chair to rent and etc. Everything you may need, you will have to pay extra. The room had ants, my son ended up playing a game of counting them. We paid for 3 night stay but ended up leaving after 2 nights and they didn't even offer to pay partial refund. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Good location near the trolly, very nice staff. We had a Jr Suite, which had enough space and a very nice closet. On the negative side - tiny bathroom, kitchen had a sink, microwave and mini fridge, but no burner and no counter space, so mostly good for reheating prepared food. The second TV did not work and was not fixed while we were there even though we asked, and there was very little lighting - awkward to see if you actually repacked all your stuff. We would indeed consider staying again.

Site is on a busy street and if you are sensitive to noise you will not sleep well. There were spider webs on the patio and sand on the floor in the room, assuming from the prior occupant. The staff is very helpful, but limited in what they can do by policy issues of company.

My family and I (myself, my husband and our 4 year old) booked the seaside inn for a night for a little staycation. From the moment we walked in to the room it was not a great experience. Rooms are completely outdated and dirty but what really made the experience awful was the guest next door that were screaming and blasting music and I mean blasting… at 11pm. The front office was closed and we had to try to contact someone from the hotel which was very inconvenient. They told us “to call the cops” because Laguna has a no tolerance for noise after 10pm. It was so frustrating realizing we were asked to deal with this situation essentially on our own. The people were so loud and disrespectful we ended up leaving in the middle of the night because our son woke up and we were all unable to fall asleep. We had to call the hotel later the next day because no one reached out to us to ask us about our experience. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because of the girl at the front desk (Maddison I think). She was kind and tried to make the situation better but it should have been the manager reaching out to try and make the situation better. I never leave reviews or leave hotels in the middle of the night but needless to say, I would stay else where.

We enjoyed our stay at Seaside Laguna Inn & Suites. The bedside tables as well as the little dinette table were all pretty aged and a bit “rickety”. They should be fixed or replaced. When we checked in the young lady at the counter was excellent…friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Had a fine one night stay at this hotel. Considering the condition of the room/facilities, I felt it was overpriced.
Pros: Had free parking, easy trolley access, comfortable bed, staff were nice
Cons: While it was clean and met our basic needs, the rooms and bathrooms were a bit rundown.

Such a great location! Super cute property, great size room, within walking distance to a ton of shops and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in in a hotel. Highly recommend!

I loved my stay at this adorable boutique hotel. Great price considering you’re steps from the beach. It was clean and met my needs for the night. I was here for Pageant of the Masters and the Sawdust Festival. Great location and conveniently located to so many great restaurants and shops. No need to drive anywhere as you can walk or take the trolley. I would stay at Seaside Laguna Inn again. Great experience.

Loved everything about Seaside Laguna inn! Location is ideal just a few steps from the beach, in quieter section of Laguna Beach (compared to the area near Main Beach). Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Parking was available and convenient. Only very minor glitches, like the cable TV not working one of the days, but was resolved later.

The boutique hotel is amazing and close to everything

It wasn’t bad overall but the internet was really slow and everything is pretty outdated especially for the price. I’d stay again but definitely not my top two options.

The room smelled like sewer gas . They didn’t have any other rooms to switch us into. They are doing construction right back of hotel 🏨.

Clean, cozy and friendly service! Cute boutique hotel with close access to the beach. Friendly service and easy parking. Will definitely stay again!

Really cute and quaint hotel.

Rooms are tiny, major construction machinery placed between the building and the ocean, where any available view is blocked. Rooms are very clean, staff is very polite and attentive. Expensive in terms of what you get. I’ve stayed in Laguna at 3-4 properties, I thought I’d try this one. Granted there are truly ocean front properties a few blocks up for triple the price, buuuut they are worth the expense for a wonderful balcony/terrace view that includes hearing the ocean waves with access to the beach steps away. If you want a clean, quiet small motel type room to throw a bag or two in, and sleep comfortably this is a good spot.

First room we checked into had a musty smell and did not have cold water in the shower. The second room had a dusty floor as if it had not been swept or mopped and the ac did not work. Maintenance came over after several requests to have it checked out. The maintenance person changed the unit with the remote and tried to convince us that it was fixed. I explained to him that it is not workin and simply just circulating the warm air around. He then stated that the ac maintenance person was on site the day before and did not get to the unit’s ac and recharge it.

Pretty nice hotel. The photos were deceptive because I was under the impression you could see the ocean from the balconies. Maybe you can from some but only a teeny tiny wedge from our room and my granddaughter’s room was on a noisy street. You had to hunt down breakfast. I thought it would have been better just to put out a banana and yogurt and call it a day. The promise of a pastry was a dry cinnamon roll.
