Hotel with excellent location - right by subway station, Myeongdong shopping street, Sinsegae Department store and starting point for DMZ tours. Cozy, big rooms with good bed.

I absolutely loved my stay at L’Escape Hotel! So unique and cozy. The room was incredible: big, stylish and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect for getting around Seoul, and the food was amazing. I’d totally recommend it for anyone looking for a special place to stay!

Hotel L’Escape is a romantic and classy hotel. The air is permeated with fresh flowers in the lobby from the moment you enter the hotel. We arrived past midnight and the staff greeted us with smiles and gave us an upgrade because it was available. Our room is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with French tapestry, lamps and paintings. The bathroom is large and had two sinks. There is a separate shower and toilet with bidet. In the main bath is a bathtub with golden knobs. The electric and lighting are controlled by a modern system that is great once you figure out what all the knobs do. It is quiet and a great location for shopping. The location is very convenient, Namdaemun market is a few minutes walking and Hoehyeon subway and buses are just a few steps away. There are so many great places to eat around the hotel. The hotel itself has two great restaurants, French and Chinese. The breakfast is top notch with French, Korean and Chinese cuisines. All are prepared at a Michelin star quality. We will stay at the Hotel L’Escape again when we go to Seoul.

It's an excellent hotel. Parking was very convenient, the service was outstanding, and best of all, with a direct connection to Line 4 of the subway, getting to places like Myeongdong, Namdaemun Market, and Jongno was incredibly easy. I highly recommend it. The hotel interior has a European vibe, providing a fresh and unique experience.

The room was as advertised and beautiful. One thing to note, is that they do not provide for free a toothbrush and toothpaste. By staying here we also got a 10% discount at one of their restaurant and the bar. The service by the staff was impeccable. This place is 100% worth the price. Definitely will be staying again.

The hotel is conveniently located near the station. The rooms are nicely done . However , the towels in the bathroom were worn out and not to the standard in which the rooms are kept .

Nice stay in a cosy hotl extremely well located. No concierge at 6.30 am to get a taxi to airport, very surprising.

opulently decorated, though rooms are indeed very dark which gets annoying (esp in bathroom as impossible to do makeup etc). incredibly annoying, overly complicated, lighting switch setup in room, via multitude of knobs and switches though half are mislabelled or do nothing. only small towel each & just x1 nespresso pod per person per day and NO MILK! and were beyond shocked to be told we should go and buy our own milk (once managed to negotiate with reception staff to have some delivered to room the next morning at an agreed time… we waited for one hour before giving up and heading out (an hour later than planned)). staff were very unhelpful and mostly gave impression they would rather be anywhere else. unsuccessfully tried x3 times to go to cocktail bar. 1st time was shortly after arrival, though it was empty and didn’t fancy idea of a drink with staff looming over us in dead bar, 2nd time was after we’d been out all day and wanted quick nightcap before heading to bed but were told we’d have to pay cover charge per person even though we were guests and half the bar was empty & 3rd time we were told they were closed even though it was within their apparent open hours and staff were still milling about. given we were out all day, it was fine as a base to return to each night (and in all fairness the bed was super comfy). but the whole place has vibes of a hotel that was once 5star but is either on way under or just severe penny pinching and now more like 3.5 star.

Great location, friendly staff. But I arrived the hotel in the early morning but was told the earliest check in time is 1pm, also I can’t have breakfast buffet provided by hotel since I’m not the hotel guest yet even though I can pay for the breakfast. Not very considerate policy for hotel guest whose flight is early morning.

Everything was great! Super conveniently located right near the subway station only one stop from Seoul station, right near Myeongdong and the Namdaemun Market. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and they clean the room beautifully every day as well and the amenities are great, the rooms themselves are super comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Seoul!

The hotel is very well placed for walking yo Namdaemun market and lotte dept stores.. It is also a 30 sec walk to a subway line which connects very well throughout the city.. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet at night and there are many choices for food and drink nearby.. The room was well appointed and clean.. Special mention about the congierge s aff and particular Peter at reception.. They were very helpful assisting us with all our luggage and arranging taxi to airport.. We will definitely return next time we stay in seoul

I can't express enough how wonderful the experience was. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. This hotel posts pictures of a beautiful library with a piano and a charming atmosphere of a sophisticated old time environment. However, the library is off limits to most guests. They don't tell you this on the listing. We booked this hotel specifically because we liked the charming pictures and wanted to take photos in the library. Instead we were turned away, not even allowed to see what the room looked like, and told that the piano had been removed a few years ago. Don't entice people to stay by showing them things and then not making them available and then treating them like dirt. What possible advantage is there to the hotel to not allow a guest to even see this room which was most likely empty. Just really bad customer service.

The hotel employees will not help you with your bags. We had to find our room and take our bags up to the room ourselves! They will not help you get a taxi! Asking questions about where to eat or visit was answered with “ many places outside”. They had us sign a paper that we are not allowed to bring any food of any kind up to our room or we will be charged for it. The service in this hotel is the worst service that we have received in any country we have ever stayed!! DO NOT STAY in Le Escape in Seoul Korea!!! Unless you want to be treated like a piece of crap!!! For the price of this hotel we wonder why the service is so BAD!!!

No laundry service in this so-called 5 star hotel, the laundry service was a map to a coin operated laundry 10 min away. Paid extra for breakfast for two, but had to discuss with the restaurant who thought I only had for one person. Had to check out very early due to an early flight and asked in reception if it was possible to check out in the evening and leave the keys in the room, they told me this was not possible and I had to come by the reception in the morning, my colleague on the other hand was told that it was no problem to just check out via the smart screen in the room and leave the keys.

Amazing old style hotel with lots of charm. Beautiful library and bar. Room was big but not a great design but nice feel to it. No draws. I would take out the bench in the entrance way and replace it with a dresser. The front desk was very helpful and spoke good English. Really a cool place in an excellent location.

I am glad that I chose this property for my first visit to Seoul. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of Myeongdong shopping street, yet close enough to walk to everything in the area. There is a metro station outside the hotel and the airport bus is just a 2 minute walk. The room was luxurious, quiet and kept very clean and organized by the housekeeping. I would definitely return to this hotel the next time I am in Seoul.
