The couple that runs this bed and breakfast are kind; however, the property is dirty and not well-kept. We didn't stay our full time, and they charged us for a third full night just because we left 20 minutes after checkout. We were packing because we made the decision to leave due to dirty conditions and feeling very uncomfortable. They made a few comments that were inaccurate to the listing and not appropriate. It was a misleading stay, to say the least. They stated, when taking a tour of the home, that the white stuff on the carpets is cotton from the fields outside, when in fact, it was dog hair (they have 2 dogs). It's very stuffy in this bed and breakfast. Apparently, they vacuum every day, but there is dust on everything, and there is dog hair throughout the home. As for the bathroom and bedroom, there are dead bugs throughout the baseboards, including staples. We had our little one on the floor who was choking on something and found it to be a staple! We mentioned it to the host, and she proceeded to say that kids should not be on the ground in public places...it's a bedroom? On top of that, it's not very private, and there isn't a hot tub as advertised. Not sure where the 10/10 rave is about, but we didn't have that kind of experience. She even offered a picture as a gift due to our stay being cut short and was worried about us giving this review. Sorry, but my family's comfort comes first, we want it to be safe and enjoyable especially for those that come to stay.

I felt like I was staying at a best friend or a close family member’s house. Where I could come and go as I please and was offered every amenity available, but also was greeted with the warmth of family at the most significant times. It was hard to convince my wife we couldn’t stay longer.

Morning Star is an incredibly beautiful place on a pastoral acreage in the historic village of Corrales, NM. The grounds are stunning. The inn itself, a charming example of northern NM architecture and craftsmanship is comfortable and warm. Our room, looking directly out to the beautiful pool could not have been better. We loved dining with the other guests (food was exceptional) which were a couple and their daughter from the UK and a lovely couple from NJ. The wife was Bavarian and we recounted our favorite beer gardens for hours. If you are not familiar with the "bosque" along the Rio Grande river, it is an amazingly beautiful greenbelt of ancient cottonwood tree, expansive lawns and tiny farms that date back centuries. John and Carol, the owners, are lovely, well informed and fun to hang with. Go there.

Carol and John are the most wonderful and hospitable hosts! They make the property even more charming - staying here for a few days before I headed out of town was such a welcome. When I left I felt as if I were staying with family - it's that cozy. John made the tastiest breakfasts and they were just the sweetest couple. My room was extremely comfortable and spacious and the grounds were so peaceful and quiet. It's in a great location too - close to where the wineries and farms are yet convenient to eateries and coffee shops as well.

Instead of staying with family or at a local area hotel we decided to try our first stay in a B&B (4 nights) in many years. What a treat!
The inn's hosts Carrol & John are very warm and welcoming and really care about their guests. Our room was large, very comfortable with a very large bathroom and dressing area. Plenty of storage space for clothing and suitcases. Carrol has an interior design and architecture background and it shows in how comfortable the Inn is.
John's breakfasts are the perfect way to start the day. He and Carrol are happy to join you around the table with other guests and chat or leave you alone to yourselves. We enjoyed their company as did the others.
The Inn's grounds are wonderful and relaxing by the large pool is a delight. This will be our go to place to stay when visiting this area again!

This was a very welcoming place with beautiful rooms and beautiful grounds. Loved the fireplaces. Was very quiet. Breakfast was incredible. Would definitely love to come back and stay when the pool is open and the trees are in bloom.

The hosts Carol & John, and other staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The many personal touches offered, along with the beautiful accommodations made my stay very special and enjoyable. The breakfasts were incredibly delicious! I traveled to ABQ to visit friends and they also enjoyed stopping by beautiful Morning Star, the property is exquisite! What a great homecoming trip!!

Lovely peaceful setting amongst the trees near the Rio Grande River. Perfect large spaces for breakfast and lounging, and nice quiet separated bedrooms. Hosts are wonderful, friendly and great cooks (delicious breakfast!). We will most definitely return!

Had a B&B experience like never before. John and Carrol were great hosts. It is a nice house and Carrol has designed it beautifully. John made us delicious breakfast every morning. Would definitely love to stay here again if we come back and will plan to spend a whole day in Morning Star and experience this house.

My mom and I stayed 2 nights at the Morning Star Bed and Breakfast and it was fabulous. John and Carole were so sweet and accommodating. The property is absolutely gorgeous. We loved sitting outside in the backyard enjoying coffee in the morning and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed many great conversations with John and Carole. They made us feel like family. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to everyone! The facilities are so clean and comfortable.

Wow... What a hidden gem. What a great experience. My family was shocked when we pulled into a dirt alley in dark. Looked a bit scary in dark. However we've realized what a heaven we've found as we walked into Morning Star, being welcomed by wonderful owners. I can't praise this facility enough. Facility is super clean and wonderfully decorated. Every detail is thought through. Beakfast by John was definitely a killer. Wished we had more time to stay. We'll definitely come back...

One of the best...or worst parts of staying with hosts of a B&B are the hosts. Morning Star was no doubt the former. John and Carol are the epitome of graciousness, making sure that their guests had not just everything they might need but offering privacy and peace in a most beautiful home and setting.

The pool is amazing set alongside a wonderful outdoor jacuzzi nestled on an eloquent property perfect for walking about or sitting outside enjoying a book underneath a tree while sitting on a wooden bench.
The patio is just as cozy and warm as the rest of the property complete with seating. You must sit outside under the stars at night! It is quiet, private and soothing.
Inside you will find a cozy library complete with wifi and a collection of amazing books..
Overall the decor is inviting, warm and calming. The rooms are stellar.
My only regret is that I can't give Morning Star more stars!

My children and I enjoyed a cozy evening streaming movies in our spacious suite. After sleeping in a bit, our tailored breakfast was perfect! Our wonderful hosts made us feel right at home. We all hope to return to take a dip in the pool and see the hot air balloons!
