Traditional Spanish hotel. Though the room had original characteristics it included on suite,TV, fridge, kettle ect. Rooms were cleaned every day, bed was comfy, WiFi worked well and reached the beach.
Typically Spanish breakfast with a full breakfast available and served till 1pm.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The main plus for me was the conservatory and garden area where meals were served next to the beach and facing south. The restaurant always seemed to be busy. The hotel also had sun loungers on the beach free of charge.
Definitely value for money

Very interesting and well renovated victorian building.
Unfortunatly the rooms that overlook the garden are very noisy during the night with parties and cleaning afterwards

Beautiful old hotel in a fantastic location right on the sea front.
A hotel full of character and Spanish charm.
Very friendly staff who were very helpful.
Dinner on the front terrace made for an excellent evening.
There was even flamenco dancers on the night we stayed.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
Parking is on the street so could be a problem at busy times.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Made very welcome and was made excellent as on my return from my birthday celebration with friends a birthday bottle of champagne was in my room.

A beautiful building on a beautiful location, but the rooms had a lot more to wish for. On my booking it said a doubble bed and a writing desk. The room was so small that a writing desk was not possible. We where offered a bed thats was 140 cm wide with one pillow and one quilt. Where I come from that is not a double bed. The old thin doors and windows could not stop one sound, so it was not a pleasent sleep. Some of the staff was wonderful and some of the staff should not work in a service business. Sorry, but will never book this hotel again.

We were very pleased to stay here, but it could so easily have moved up a notch.
Our arrival at reception was poorly handled. The two women chatted to each other in Spanish prompting us to enquire whether there was a problem. We were assured there wasn't and they continued on with their conversation.
. Later I requested a local map which was unavailable. I was advised where the nearest Tourist Information Office was. It was closed for the duration of our stay.
Generally we were not supplied with any guide to the hotel's facilities, leaving us to ask around.....
On the morning of our early departure (7am) the reception was deserted and there was no possibility of an early breakfast.
The waiting staff were excellent although it would have been useful if table clearers had a different uniform to the waiters - who were the only ones who could take orders.
The food was good and with the exception of the table clothed restaurant was reasonable value.
I realise this is feedback mainly aimed at management about how the place could be improved
It's in a great location and is a fine listed building. It's good but could be excellent without too much effort.

Possibly my best hotel stay anywhere. Love the twenties style with no tacky rush to modernise (although attention to H&S needed, eg when locating small stage by terrac door with no warning). Would love to stay again, and returned three times alr day to enjoy the lovely terrace and wonderful courtyard. Stafflovely, cleaners, reception and waiters. While here my daughter had her wedding ceremony in the courtyard- great location for it.

This is a lovely old hotel. Although it is rather faded this doesn’t diminish its charm. The position is excellent & staff friendly & helpful. We had booked two days at the end of our holiday after driving down to Malaga taking in Nerja & Almería & were really looking forward to our stay here. But on our first evening a large cockroach scuttled across the bathroom floor as I was using the bathroom. We reported it to the night manager & she apologised. The bed was hard & dipped in the middle. My husband checked the bathroom every time I had to go in but on our last morning another large cockroach was sitting in the shower. We have been visiting Spain for 40 years & never had this in a hotel before. The manager when we checked out offered a free nights stay with dinner but I doubt we shall take it up!

An older property along the Spanish coast is a bonus. The hotel has lots of charm and historic features that have been kept. A beautiful internal courtyard and a lovely seafront view. The service was excellent from the waiting staff. The food was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. I do recommend this hotel for a short stay

Traditional Spanish hotel full of character. If you like chain hotels this is not for you. Right on beach in town centre. Menus are Spanish not a European mix. Food and service excellent-no buffet service.

Great hotel and fantastic location, on the sea front and centre of old town, lovely old building, consequently lacking a few mod cons, no air-con so rooms maybe a little hot in the summer months! Restaurant was very good, with great service. Very popular with the locals.
