We were given a warm welcome at Casa Dra Alicia and greeted with a refreshing drink. This warmth continued throughout our stay. The room was modern and comfortable and offered privacy with its own seating area/courtyard. Alicia offered to cook a lobster dinner for us and, having read previous reviews, we decided we would love to eat at the casa on our first night rather than walk into town. The dinner was served in the courtyard and was beautifully presented, delicious and excellent value for money. The following morning we were served a fantastic breakfast before meeting our guide, who Alicia had organised for us, and walking to the caves and coffee plantation for a very enjoyable experience. Later in the day we walked into town (10-15 minutes) to get a flavour of local life. One point - it is advisable to have a torch with you if you are returning in the dark, as the road is not well lit and traffic can be quite busy.We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Alicia's hospitality.

Wonderfull casa centred with the lovely locals, just outside Vinalis. Everything was perfect including secure parking. Take a flashlight with you when you intend to stay out late in the lovely town. To walk back at night under the stars to the casa is dark but very safe.

We were treated extremely well by our host Alicia. We stayed in an very roomy and clean apartment with a neat garden in front. We also loved playing with the little dog and watching the livestock of the neighbours. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. The house is only a short walk from the town and the national park. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Viñales.

We had a wonderful one night stay with Dr Alicia and her family. The room is separated from her main house which is conveniently located closed to town but feels like u are away from the buzz. You can access one hour of wifi by getting a card from her for 1CUC!
Dr Alicia is friendly and helpful and cooks a wonderful breakfast and oh, what a spread! Her home made guava jam was out of this world! I can still taste it in my memory!
I wished I had planned for a longer stay in the Viñales!

Casa Dra Alicia sits on the outskirts of Vinales. With a ten minute walk to town.It lies amongst local homes, with the accompanying pets and wildlife that the people need to live.and so various early calls can be expected!Do not be put off !Alicia is a pure angel in looking after you and helping organise anything that you may need. And her lobster dinner was amazing.Highly recommend the horse riding into the national park, you don’t even have to have ridden, the horses are calm and Chico our singing Cuban cowboy was great.Cayo Lavisa is a must for a day at the beach.Local bars and cafes in town are all geared up to serve your needs and we felt very safe walking back in the dark, but watch out for the cars.Oh and bicycles without lights! You can watch the sun rise and set from the room, which is amazingAlicia organised our onward journey and accommodation to La Terraza the eco park 50km from Havana. For which we were very grateful as we stayed at the Casa Villa Noel deep in the tropical rainforest.with a very friendly family and friends of Alicia. We left both places as “family “ and we are humbled to have been in their homes.Casa Dra Alicia is highly recommended.Five stars for pure enjoyment and happiness.Thank you Alicia,Juan and Family Hopefully we will return to enjoy Cuba with you again.
