It is a very difficult time to live in Cuba right now. There is only limited electricity and Wi-Fi so it is hard for any hosts to provide what customers want and pay for. They did their best but you can really feel the pressure on the people who live here. They have a generator which really improves things and they do their best to offer a good service. The breakfasts are good (big!) and there was a fridge in the room with beer, water etc. The swimming pool was great, although with a lack of electricity it looked quite soupy by the end of our 5 day stay and we didn’t want to swim.

Really enjoyed our stay in Vinales. We loved having the pool for refreshing dips after sightseeing. Joel and the entire staff were helpful and arranged taxis and sightseeing activities. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beauty place well kept, friendly people, always ready to serve and provide you with every thing you need despite the lack of supplies and food. I would recommend this place to every one.

Lovely house with nice facilities walking distance to main street. Nenita and her family were very helpful to organise a local horse riding excursion and help us organise transporte to our next destination. Food is also excellent, very generous breakfast. Definetly a nice place to stay in Vinales

From the reviews i was really looking forward to staying, however the water pump ran all night long, the cockerels start at about 2.30. The food although tasty is so far over priced and the wine price is unbelievable

Casa Nenita is in a quiet location off the Main Street but only three minutes walk into town. There is a good restaurant on site, open from early to late. They have a pool. If it‘s not open ask for it. They will (hopefully 😉) open it for you. The courtyard has ample of shade for those hot afternoons. The staff is very nice and helpful, especially Marisbel (?), Dani and Joel and, of course, Nenita herself. We had two loads of washing that they took care of straight away at a small fee. Joel helped us transport our luggage back to the bus station on his scooter which was greatly appreciated. It helps to speak a bit of Spanish, though. Please note, there is the original building and a new building across the street. If you prefer a more modern design, ask for a room in the new building. They will be happy to accomodate you if they can. All in all a good choice.

If visiting Vinales - you should stay here! We booked after doing a lot of research in the area before travelling and are sooo glad we did our homework! On arrival we were greeted by the family and Nenita herself. Casa Nenita has a restaurant/bar area with the best food we ate in the whole of Cuba - portions were generous and food was of a very high quality (for cuban standards) after travelling more than 24 hours the big bowl of spaghetti and pizzas were most welcome. It has a roof terrace with some good views, a pool which is very welcome after the heat of the day and the rooms - although fairly basic have everything you need. They have rooms in the main complex and a building over the road which we were in that has further rooms and its own private little terrace with a table and chairs out the back. All the rooms are ensuite. Everything they have is immaculately clean. The food and drink is a good price too. Joel is always keen to help organise a trip out to local areas and can get you whatever mode of transport you need - horse/horse and cart/classic car/taxi/walking tour etc. There is also areas to play pool, sofas out of the sun and an area to play chess/cards. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. If I had any negative at all it would only be that the pillows are not great, filled with little square foam lumps. Walking distance to town centre is 5 minutes. Stay here - you wont regret it!! Thank you to all at Casa Nenita.

Really lovely Casa owners and the place was very clean with great facilities. We were delayed in getting there (due to our collectivo having to stop because of a thunder storm) and Nenita very kindly checked us in late at night. Would recommend this place to family and friends.
