affordable, clean and quiet

The property feels neglected. The railings to the second floor are rusted and hideous--albeit safe. Stairs are a bit uneven. In the fairly comfortable room I had to deal with both the shower and sink with faucet handles that were over-tightened and difficult to turn. My shower curtain was torn, worn and moldy. Towels were gray and tattered. On the plus side the room was fairly clean and the television was new.

The hotel staff was fine, but the overall environment was old, dirty, and the facilities were in poor condition.

Room was basic with no coffee in room or office. Parking lot is very deteriorated. Room was "clean" but bathroom floor had shoe marks from someone stepping on tiles with wet shoes and leaving the footprints. Helpful staff when we had problems with TV and later, needed to use a pair of scissors.

The staff is super nice and very attentive.

Looks condemned and nefarious…especially at night. Easy check in and you get an actual key to the room. Not the safest or secure by any means plus the deadbolt didn’t work. The room had a damp wet smell that mixed with the cleaning chemicals. Left for two hours and upon return the smell was worse. Wall and floor were wet from the room above leaking water. Had to change rooms and was given one next to a room that looks like a car backed through the window and door. Had been red tagged since June. Avoid at all costs due to condition, safety, and especially price per night.

Friendly staff and clean rooms

I had to switch rooms. A car smashed into the downstairs room… not a nice site.

This is a very poor property, one of the worst I have stayed in. Humid, old, dingy.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got extra towels and wash cloths right away. When we pulled up it looked very unsafe and dirty, druggies hanging around, and one of the bottom rooms were completely destroyed by a car crashing into it. Carpet in room was very dirty and sheets had yellow stains on them.

This property is also a rent by the week motel. The owners were friendly. The motel itself is very run-down. While the price was cheaper, I would not stay here again.

Decent no coffee no iron

The people who work there are very kind. The microwave and fridge work great! But the place needs a face lift and there is a strong odor of mold. The carpet is saturated in nasty black stains. The shower is stained with mold. For the price it’s fine.

Good hotel for short trips

The area is disgusting. One of the rooms was boarded up and the caution tape was barely visible. It appeared that others had attempted to enter the room. The area and grounds are dirty and appear that illegal activity takes place there. Very unsafe

The place was not kept up. It looked horrible and abondoned on the outside. The faucets were tight and squeaky. No tissue paper.

Victoria motel is an exceptionally clean very basic motel. Comfortable beds and clean linens. Supply of towels was low and towels scratchy. Refrigerator and microwave, but no cups and no coffee available. When cups and towels were requested they were provided. Manager was very friendly and attentive. A printed channel guide for the TV would have been appreciated. Dresser in room missing a knob, but good size. Externally this motel needs some work - railings on steps are slanted and surface worn. Very convenient location. Overall we were comfortable. This is an economical place to stay and has the basics covered. If looking for upscale, this wouldn't be your choice. I thank our host for making our stay a comfortable one..

Let me start by saying, this is a SOLID 3. My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the Ventura/ Oxnard area for one night. We were looking cheap, just a quick overnight trip 90 miles from home. What we didn't expect was how far we would actually travel - all the way back to1976!!
This is not a luxury vacation destination, which we were not looking for. So if you are, move along. But if you, like we were, are on a budget, and you are looking for the basics (a locked door on a warm room,) then I will say, check in. You'll do it old school, filling out an actual paper card, and they will hand you an actual key to the door. There have been no upgrades to this motel in a LONG time, the décor is 70s, all the way down to the push button phone, but it was clean and the couple running the place were kind and helpful people. The TV was decent (though the remote had tape holding the batteries in and you had to enter channel numbers the old fashioned way.) The heater kept us warm on a very cold night.
It's an inexpensive stop over location. If that's what you're looking for, you'll get what you paid for.

Great place to spend one night. Could use a bit of updating on the carpet in the room we stayed at but overall not bad!

Owners are nice but room are old. From the mattresses, floors, walls and even the lamp shades. Have stains all over them and room has mildew smell. Would definitely not stay again.

Absolutely terrible. Was afraid entering the parking lot.

The staff was nice, but overall it did not feel like the safest areas.

Worn out motel with worn out furnishings with thin windows next to a freeway.

It’s old motel and it shows. Staff was friendly, but the facilities are old and very worn.

It was a VERY bare bones room. One washcloth and hand towel for 2 adults. NO hot beverage or food offered for breakfast of any kind.
Very pricey for how basic it was. The tiny bar of soap didnt even lather up. Very cheaply run. Tacky.
Front desk person was nice enough, but hard to understand and there was plexiglass between us so that made it even harder.

My stay was good, nice and quiet and clean room, ac worked had a refrigerator microwave and cable tv, it was convenient for me walking distance to a gas station for coffee and a jack in the box across the street 10 mins to the nearest beach price was a little high but for what I needed it for was worth it. Overall I was happy with my stay.

The hotel was not what I had expected from the pictures I had seen on the website. It had old furniture and bedding. I found cockroaches in the room. The TV did not work. The front desk was nice but unfortunately it did not make up for the unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel unless you absolutely need something cheap and you are ok with old and dirty.

Very basic hotel, sheets were clean. Everything else was dated and dirty. No attention to detail.

It was clean but in need of updating...dirty paint, tv wouldn't turn off (had to unplug it), lightbulbs out, no side lamps. Also only provided only one small hand towel, bath towels provided tho. Pillows were very lumpy

Paid for the room through Expedia as usual. Then my employee was charged on his personal card. Spent at least 35 minutes on chat with Expedia ( who are great) But the hotel would not respond...Buyer beware !!!!!

Nice place to stay in Ventura and close to Channel Islands NP Visitor Center and boat harbor. Recommend it for visitors to the area who want a cheaper place to stay.

The room was fine for a cheap hotel, the outside is pretty dirty and needs to be painted.

Shower had a slight problem, but the owner had it fixed in 10 minutes. Beds were comfortable, room clean, staff very friendly and helpful. No hair dryer in room, but staff provided one quickly upon asking for it. The room had a fridge and microwave.

A nice budget motel. The check in staff was very nice, my room was fine, not the cleanest but I was comfortable. Initially upon check in, my room had a very strong odor, maybe from the previous guest but after turning in the fan, it aired out. The surrounding area has lots of convience stores and gas stations around, and lots of restaurants that you can walk to or drive to. I would stay here again
