Read a bad review, still booked… went to hotel and was NOT impressed. They are refusing a refund!

The owner, and employee, are very friendly and were extremely quick to correct a problem we encountered. It is extremely clean and comfortable. However don’t expect any frills…it is a very basic motel. And it really is “hidden” away down a long gravel road off the main highway. It is not far from Many Glacier, or the border crossing into Canada for Waterton, so was a perfect spot for us

I loved this place, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here to stay. They made me feel so welcome! Above and beyond!

Comfortable stay, clean room renovated. There is no food option at the hotel, and you have to drive ~8 miles to Babb. The hotel is 3 miles on a gravel road from the highway, I was on a motorcycle and had to be extra careful, surface condition was good (Sept 2024).
There was a wedding party across the hotel and it was little noisy outside but not bad in the room, some wedding guests were staying at the hotel and they came back pretty late/early morning causing some noise issue.

clean and quiet place.. just the internet is so slow

Wonderful place to stay in East Glacier.
This is not an area with many amenities, but we enjoyed the beauty of location.
The staff, ease of access, and location is great.
4.0
This place is remote, but there are no other places besides staying in the park, which requires a year in advance reservation. The place is off on a nice dirt road. The room was very clean,an workers very nice. It is not a 5 star place but good and clean . It has no tv, but neither does the park lodges. I found it ok for the Babb area. Also all of the rooma were clean and redone. Coffee maker, microwave down the hall.

Stayed for 1-night as it was the closest lodging we could find to the Many Glacier entry point. We knew it was somewhat out of the way, but the 3-mile gravel road is actually in very good condition and was an easy drive. The room was also much better than we expected - plenty of room, the bed was comfortable, and a nice shower. The only downside was not many eating options available near by. Other than that, would recommend for anyone looking for lodging close to Many Glacier.

Overall great property, new building, new rooms. Loved the ‘rustic feel’, yet had all the amenities. Purposely stayed on the EAST side of glaciers to avoid the busy tourist Labor day weekend.

Very basic rooms. No tv

This was an easy place for us to stay outside many glacier. It was very remote but there was a small diner down the road for breakfast. The rooms are a place to sleep, not much to them, but we found the area to be beautiful, front desk kind and our stay was relaxing with playing board games we brought with us. (There are no TVs in the room, shared microwave in the hallway, mini fridge in the room). Pretty bare bones but was a good proximity for our hiking adventures in glacier.
2.0
No television, no hair dryer not in Babb, outside of the small town, 4 to 5 miles away.

The property was so clean and quiet.

Long road in felt ominous. Was clean and quiet, a little odd to have hallway and windows in suites that open to hallway. Check in girl was great. Rooms clean. Walk in shower was great. Will come again.

Clean and quiet hotel with a beautiful view.

Great location for visiting the east side of Glacier National Park. It's so hard to find accommodations unless one books them super early, so we were really glad to find this basic motel. It's a lot cheaper than staying at the Park although not that cheap overall.

Great stay for us near Many Glacier. Clean and well maintained space. A little off the beaten path for sure, but staff and vibe made us feel at ease. Would come back here

Great room, outside appearance was not appealing— don’t let that fool you. Isolated but very adequate. Friendly and professional staff

This was my second time staying here and I would definitely stay here again. The rooms are very clean and the location is lovely. It was very convenient for us to get into Many Glacier for early hikes. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes guests chat outside at the Gazebo.
No cell service. They have wifi but it’s spotty so plan to be off the grid. No TV. This was fine for us as we just needed a place to sleep but it would be nice if the wifi was more reliable.

This is a peculiar little place. Pro's are very clean, refrig w/small freezer area, nice shower. Con's are no ice machine, no TV, 10 miles from town. A little concerning about location when we arrived because it was so remote but place was almost full before end of evening.

Clean, quiet, remodeled basic room. Beds were comfortable. Wifi available but no t.v. Desk clerk was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This hotel was off the beaten path probably about 6 miles out of town the last 3 miles down a
graveled road. Defenatly a hidaway.
6.0
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and room was very clean and well-maintained, but room had some major design flaws (bathroom barn door that was extremely challenging to slide/lock/close completely, no bathroom counter surface, no TV, no AC).
8.0
This place is way off the beaten path which is fine by me. There is nothing around it so eat before you go there. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. It is very basic but has nice beds, is clean and the shower works well.

This hotel is not near much. We stayed here to be near Many Glacier. There was no tv but you do get wifi. You get a fan instead of air conditioning. It was manageable. Everything else was good.

This is a great place to stay in East Glacier. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room had a small fridge and coffee pot.
You drive down a long gravel street to get to it; but it has a pretty view with horses close by and the mountains. The only complaint is that the room gets a little warm especially after showering because there is no air. Just a fan in the room and a screen on the window that faces the hallway so there’s no privacy if you open the curtains for air flow.

Like— Near to Waterton glacier international park ( Canada ), New property, clean, quiet…
Not like— farm area, no convenient stores…

We traveled here while wanting to hike in Glacier NP. We didn’t expect to spend much time at Hook’s….it was a place to sleep. That said, they were friendly and willing to adjust our stay dates by a day. The rooms are adequate. Wi-Fi was often unavailable or dropped a lot. No Cell service. The location is about 3 miles off the highway on a gravel road. Be aware that everything in the general area is very expensive because of location.Rooms were clean, decor simple. Would only stay here if other ‘close to Glacier’ options were not available.

Room was clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Small modular building, 15 rooms, miles away from town. Arrived late so did not see any staff and office was not open when we left. The only real drawback was not knowing about the pipeline construction next door. However, we did see a buffalo on the 3 mi gravel road to the hideaway. Dinner at Cattle Baron Supper Club in Babb was very good.

So my wife and kids were afraid of being out so far in the country due to the movies they have watched in the past, but they quickly experienced that it was a very safe and well-managed property. It is totally worth staying there when everything else is booked. It is very clean, organized, has great use of the space. The motel made it possible for us to enter and exit Many Glacier park for a couple of days. Just be sure to watch out for the moose and Elk as you drive back and forth. We had three encounters with animals and two were very close calls. Be sure to not drive too fast.
Thank you for a wonderful stay near Babb. It was fun to go out into the country side and see St. Mary's River running nearby. Would love to come back soon : )

This property is in the middle of nowhere, it was miles on a gravel road to locate. Once we arrived it looked like a double-wide trailer, we did not stay, we left.
2.0
Renovated motel with horrible location and access. No AC, NO PHONE service, no microwave. Wouldn't stay again or recommend. No ice machine, no food availability.
6.0
Convenient to the east gate of Glacier Park about 35-minutes partly a gravel road. Rustic remote but quiet and clean. Tight quarters water closet, vanity and shower but nice shower with Limited electrical outlets and dim lighting, dark. No vanity work space for toiletries, no lighting for wall mirror, no hairdryer.
It was a spur of a moment decision to visit Glacier National Park and over $250 per night two seniors, no breakfast included. Obviously limited vacancies in the area and high tourist season.
Limited area restaurants and other services

Need an ice machine and air conditioning or additional fans but overall was a nice property.

We had two couplstay at Hooks Hideaway, and both of us loved it. The rooms were clean and we all slept great. The lady at checkin was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to this area. It wasfancy, but it has everything you need. 🙂
4.0
no frills motel but very peaceful and quiet!
The staff wads great!
Could use areas to cook your own food since restaurants are miles away
3.0
The walls are very thin here so bring headphones or you will hear every suitcase rolling or door closing. It was an unusual experience in that the building seemed like a portable room with unfinished 1 by 2’s. Place is fine for people that literally just need a place to sleep and leave at the crack of dawn.
10.0
No air conditioning

Out of the way place but great for entering Glacier National Park
6.0
There was no TV, I did not dream that I would need to confirm that. No cell service, so could not make calls. No AC only a fan which was tolerable. Only a shared microwave that I would have had to go outside to get to. Several miles off the highway on gravel, and a very rough enterance to the property.
