Recently stayed here and didn’t have the best experience but this last trip was amazing. Staff at front desk, Guinerveve was so sweet and remembered me from last time. The staff at the restaurant went above and beyond. Had an amazing stay.

Great stay. Great check in experience the girl that helped us was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was great too, we stayed in the double queen and it was extremely roomy. The rooms are updated and have comfy beds. View of Madonna from balcony was cool.

The room was spacious, and comfortable. The staff are SO friendly and helpful. We really loved the rooftop bar and the pizza and wine on Monday night were delicious!
Also, we love the location. We walked everywhere. Made too many trips to Boo Boo Records! A big favorite! Can’t wait to come back.

Outstanding property and location to enjoy SLO

Hotel SLO has been on my list for a long time and it did not disappoint. Room was immaculate and had everything you need, nespresso machine, warm comfy robes (big plus in my hotel choices), modern clean lines, and great balcony. My view of the mountains was stunning. Check in was amazing and they gave me a room on the top floor which I requested. Tips: ask for a room facing tge mission and Madonna if you want a quiet room. High Bar and Ox and Anchor are stellar. Service and drinks/food amazing. We have stayed at other hotels in the area, don’t compare to Hotel SLO. Treat yourself, worth every penny.

Another Amazing Surfrider Foundation accommodation! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, although the housekeeper didn’t seem to speak Any English, she figured it out. The stay was lovely. They should be more forthcoming about their acceptable dog weight requirements Before booking.
Overall it was a great time and we will be back

Really great Hotel with a lot to offer! Went for our Anniversary and we were greeted by friendly valet workers who also offered to take our bags. Front desk was very kind and quick. I will say the elevator moves slow and gets packed around the area so I’d recommend the stairs. We were on the second floor so the stairs were the best option to us. Room was nice and spacious with a small balcony with table and chairs that overlooked the patio area, restaurants, spa and pool. Two things that I hope they can fix are the bed and the TV. Both are outdated so as I found the bed decently comfortable, others might not and the TV is just because I’m used to faster ones. They still work perfectly just slow and that’s a personal issue haha. The restaurants are fantastic I’d recommend both and the roof top bar is great! It gets windy so take a sweater but I found it refreshing. We didn’t experience the spa or the pool and I feel that if you do stay at this lovely hotel, make sure you experience everything otherwise it’s an expensive price for an above average experience. We liked it a lot and possibly stay again but only if we do the spa day and the pool and more drinks otherwise we lose out on the full experience. Still, I’d recommend.

Paid the valet $20 to bring our bags up and they never made it to the room despite the fact that no one was using the valet and the kids looked bored which was the only reason I gave them my bags as I never ever use valet. I ended up going down and getting the bags myself and the boys did look embarrassed. The rooms are expensive but look no better than a comfort Inn. The elevator takes forever so I decided to take the emergency stairwell in the morning with my service dog but the exit door was locked and bc I forgot my key card I was locked in the East stairwell for 30 min as the front desk wouldn’t pick up. Upon being rescued I asked how it was possible that an emergency door would lock from the interior to which I was told if the fire alarm goes off it unlocks. This makes no sense as there are many other emergencies that may necessitate emergency evacuation. What if I hadn’t had my phone ?
The lobby bar is hopping and that’s about all I can say is good about this hotel.

The staff was accommodating and friendly. The hotel was located in a central part of downtown, close to shopping and great restaurants. The pool was lovely and warm.

This hotel was sort of a splurge for me, but entirely worth it. I was greeted by a friendly efficient person on check-in. My room was lovely and clean. They checked in twice a day to tidy up and turn the room down in the evening, I love that there was a Nespresso machine and a small refrigerator. The Hotel had a well appointed, clean gym, A wonderful pool, a bar and restaurant. Also a small latte stand with baked goods on the go. Its location is magnificent – – easy walking to downtown San Luis Obispo. I would certainly not hesitate to stay again or recommend this property to friends.

Loved the location and big rooms

Great hotel in downtown SLO. Huge rooms, comfy king size beds, a pool, a rooftop bar... What more could you ask for? Service was great throughout. The room was "refreshed" each day, they missed replacing a few items
(e.g. used hand towels) but fixed it quickly when we mentioned it. Watch out for the valet parking cost (~$25 a night), though it worked well and saved hassle trying to find a spot

The whole layout of the room was fantastic! The bathroom was alil amplified with the glass panels an the shower floor needed to be slipped toward the drain but over all Beautiful room even had a 4plug in the bathroom for ladys with multiple hair tools

We loved the stay. The only exception being that the room was too noisy. The footsteps from the room above us kept us up til midnight...

I have stayed at Hotel SLO multiple times and have always had a fantastic experience. The staff is helpful and attentive, the food at the restaurants is always excellent (I highly recommend the Grilled Artichoke at Piadina, I get it every time!) and the rooms are clean and beautiful with all the comforts you could desire.

Overall our stay was quite nice. Very polite, professional, and friendly staff. Great downtown location. A few small issues for room 311: 1) the toilet did not flush properly (sometimes the tank did not fill after a flush) 2) The shelf in the shower that held the body gel, shampoo, etc was partially falling off the wall.

I travel about 30% of the year between work /fun and this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in while. The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were great, everything was aesthetically pleasing it also practical and very comfortable. Location was perfect, close to everything but not loud. Honestly can’t find one thing I would change, even the hotel restaurant Ox and Anchor was very good. Highly recommend and I will be back

This was my 2nd time staying at Hotel San Luis Obispo and I felt very relaxed & happy. The staff at the bar was very nice and attentive. Food and cocktails were very good.
During this stay I had a great massage at the spa by a wonderful therapist. The property is always nice and clean and the central location makes walking a breeze to the shops and restaurants in downtown.
I also appreciated the valet parking service.

Me fiancé and I came here for a night on our way up to Carmel and we loved the place, from restaurant ambience which smelled amazing to the mini market, coffee bar, the place felt new to my surprise they had reusable glass artisan water and a dispenser for more in the hallway. My fiancé loved the thoughtful decor and Nespresso machine with cookies and the works. Fun games downstairs and lovely staff!! From the valet guys to front desk. Our dog was also happy to get a nice treat! Very centrally located

This is such a beautiful hotel and centrally located in San Luis Obispo. The front desk staff were so friendly, and the Concierge reached out to us by phone a few days before our visit to welcome us and to give us some additional details. We live only 30 minutes away from this hotel, and we came up for a concert. We watched this hotel being built, and it has been such a welcome addition to SLO. Definitely recommend.

First time we stayed here and loved it!! The rooms were very nice and modern. I really lived that they open the door for you when you arrived. Haven’t seen that for a while and they have a nightly turn down service. We loved it.
