Great test/email communication about check-in, arrived, entered the code in the door and we were in. The room was clean. However, when it is advertised as a modern minimalist motel, that's exactly what they meant. There was no furniture in the room other than the bed (which was extremely comfortable). There was built in shelving for storage, nightstand, etc. Luckily, we had driven and had our camp chairs in the car which we used for seating. I had an issue getting to the ice machine which was another coded door - got immediate help via text and did manage to get it open. The next night I could not get the door open again and just gave up. The location was great, it was about a $10 Uber ride to Broadway, many restaurants and shops in the area. The price was decent. I'd stay again if I could bring my own chairs.

While the digital only checkin process is odd, and not fully immediate, it was fine and ultimately nothing really extra over standard checkin processes. The motel room was spacious and remodeled, even if the remodeled bathroom was small. It was by far the cheapest decent option around, and we’d be happy to return.

The Iris was okay but definitely not what we expected. The room was clean and bathroom was nicely renovated. When we booked we were under the impression that it was a boutique type hotel but quickly realized upon our arrival that it was a motel. For what it was, it was, nice just not what we were expecting

We stayed at the Iris for an overnight trip for a doctor's appointment. Place is quiet, room was very clean and as pictured. Management was quick to communicate when they were needed. Overall nice little place to stay!

The Iris Motel was centrally located, unpretentious but comfortable with everything we wanted, perfectly clean with everything working the way it should. I used the microwave in the lobby fairly often, so not having one in the room was fine. The mini-frig in the room was handy.

Absolutely the best time, while it was a little odd not to have a front desk it was super easy to get in and settled. It was the perfect location outside of downtown Naahville.

It was very cute and as always I love the parking right in front. The whole code thing was new to me and I’m going to be honest (maybe I didn’t understand the instructions but I don’t remember reading them either) but apparently you are supposed to just press any numbers after closing the door to “lock it” whoops - will know for future I guess. The room had what I needed and considering there’s no room service they do provide with extra items. My only thing is that, even with the air conditioner being at 68 it felt a little humid/stuffy inside. In my experience this happens when the A/c needs to be cleaned out but not sure if it’s the case. The temperature of the room allows me to sleep better and be more comfortable and couldn’t really get that full comfortable temp. Other than that communicating with team was good (no issues so don’t know how after hours really work but they do provide numbers incase of emergency that are 24/7. It’s close enough to downtown that you can Uber (maybe even cheaper than parking downtown at times) quiet and safe neighborhood

Clean basic room that was very comfortable. Close to the things we wanted to do. Price was great. I'd stay there again.

We arrived on Friday and the codes worked just as described in email. The room was cool and clean. I had read previous reviews and brought two power strips and an extension cord because there was only three outlets…one outlet at bathroom sink and were the coffee maker was plugged in and one outlet under table between beds. The beds were comfortable. The TV worked great. I brought a foam soap dispenser for the sink and to my surprise this is the first hotel that had a soap dispenser at the sink. The coffee maker is a one cup kerrig so we brought our own coffee maker and used it for a full pot of coffee. Refrigerator dis not have the small freezer in it to freezer our ice packs but there is an ice machine to the right of the lobby in a hallway that they will give you a code to that is different than the code in the lobby where the microwave is. The only complaints I would say would be that the air conditioner did cool the room but doesn’t really remove the humidity. The towels were still damp the next morning when we hung them up. The other thing would be that the clothes hanger pole is larger than standard hangers. They provided six hangers but our clothes were on hangers and kept falling off the pole. It was a nice place and reasonably priced. Plenty of towels, toilet paper and they have a hair dryer in the room. Walmart is right across the street and there are neat restaurants nearby. We went to the Pfunky Griddle and you cook some of your own breakfast on griddle in table

We loved our stay at the iris. It was a completely remote check in process. Room was clean, and cute. I will be staying here again when I’m back in Nashville

The Iris Motel was perfect for our short stay in Nashville. It was in a perfect location for us it was not far from the Basement east and the Pharmacy Burger Parlor.

My unit was extremely clean. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, and my own is pretty great, so that says alot.
It was all I needed as a stopping place for a work function in town.
I have to note, that one important oversight can cause it to not be ideal, and for me that was that there was no inside latch, a very loose door frame and an electronic code to access the unit (hackable?) to get in. It did not feel secure, and I didnt sleep all night. Please... that inside door latch is so important for security reasons, especially being a motel where the door exits right out to the road.

Overall, I would rate this place as all right. I chose this place because it is much cheaper than other stays in the area and there are good reasons why.
First, I almost couldn’t find my room. There are front and back areas of the building. I didn’t receive information regarding that so I had ask other folks that stayed here for directions.
Second, the AC is loud. Like really loud. I normally wear earplugs to sleep and the AC’s sound easily penetrates through them. Even with the lowest fan setting, it was so loud that I had to wait until it stops and try to fall asleep during that short interval. I couldn’t get used to the sound for the two nights I stayed here. If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to sounds, I don’t think this is the right place for you. Also, the AC is dusty and blew dust over the duvet.
Third, sound insulation. I could hear my next door neighbor opening and closing their doors as well as folks parking their cars outside.

The room was "okay" - I wouldn't say good but I wouldn't say bad either. It was clean but it was very bare and not inviting at all. The side tables are too far from the bed, there is no where to sit unless you want to sit in the bed, there is no lighting except behind the bed and the raw wood that they built the bed frame, console for the TV, closet, headboard, etc. all looks cheap. The floor is unique in that it is real wood but it is not properly cleaned so walking across it is extremely sticky. The bathroom was clean but the coverup or remodel the did in the bathroom looks cheap and feels unfinished.
My biggest concern was how DARK the outside is. The lighting in front of the doorways is dark and points straight down so walking up to my room in the dark was sketchy and felt unsafe. Parking was difficult too if you are the rear of the building. Overall, it was clean so one night isn't the end of the world but I would not stay here again.

Check in and communication were efficient and easy. The room was cool, and had plenty of room for the two of us, but humid, likely due to the excessive heat this weekend. Overall, a great weekend stay with no major issues. Would definitely stay again.

The place had to many restrictions and not and office, yet I understand certain rules. The floors were somewhat clean. It was close to downtown. I had an issue with parking, seems like people had friends coming over and no parking for the people that paid for room. The bathroom were super tiny and very uncomfortable, not to mention, God forbid you have a disability or problems with your legs, you will definitely be very uncomfortable. They gave me only 1 soap for 2 people yet I had to ask for more and they did give it to me. It does need some improvement but wasn’t bad.

There’s not a lot of options for hotels at this price. The room was clean and updated which was great, but unfortunately it was so noisy there, I didn’t sleep my entire day. Also, the air conditioner kept not working in the middle of the night, so we had to keep resetting it almost once an hour. We left exhausted.
