Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. They have a limited check in period, which is understandable given the remote location of the inn. When I first booked the reservation, I sent a message saying I would arrive late and if that was ok. .They said they could arrange a late check in. On the day of the check in I called to confirm that everything would be ok for my late check in and they gave me the instructions saying that although there wouldn't be anyone at the property at the time, the room would be unlocked with the keys inside. However, when getting at the inn at around 11pm with temperatures around 0ºC (32ºF), the room was locked. Me and my wife looked for the keys everywhere for more than 30 minutes but couldn't find them. We called the only phone we had, but no answer. We messaged the property using Facebook and Instagram but didn't get any responses. We then decided to leave and go look for any other available place in a nearby town. We were extremely lucky to find a room at a motel that was closed, but had someone that picked up the phone at midnight. Otherwise we would have had to sleed inside the car with negative temperatures. At around 6am in the following morning they replied to the message in Facebook saying the staff forgot to unlock the room opened...

It was good!! We were there for a family thanksgiving and the restaurant served up 25 delicious full turkey dinners.
The beds are cery comfortable and the rooms are a nice size. We've been here several times and will definitely be back😀

Nice place and good location if you are exploring all parts of the Peninsula. Very convenient to have a restaurant attached and also a cafe right across the street. Only complaints would be low water pressure in the shower and all the pillows were large & thick (that's why I bring my own just in case!)

There are not many properties in the area. The room was clean. The biggest issue was water pressure to have a shower. In the morning I went to have a shower and there was barely any water coming from the tap. The beds are quite firm but was ok for a 2 night stay, though a mattress topper would’ve helped tremendously.
Decent stay but wouldn’t stay longer than a night or 2.

The motel is very clean and affordable. It is close to attractions like Grotto (30 mins) and Tobermory (50 mins). The dining service was a little slow but the food was amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

The room was comfy and clean. I was glad to see the coffee was a Brand name that I throughly enjoy!
I liked that there was a restaurant on site for meals each day.
Thank you

Loved this Inn. It was clean and quaint with its bear themed rooms. There was an adorable gift shop, a yummy and affordable resto, staff were so friendly, and they had amazing karaoke (Lenny’s Karaoke) the night we stayed!

This was a nice place to stay, just off the main highway. There was construction on the property when we visited so it was a bit noisy. It would be nice if the parking lot was paved and more trees blocked the main highway. The coffee cups in the room were coffee-stained.

No wifi. Mattresses very hard.
Good little restaurant on site.

I stayed once for two nights and again 5 days later for 1 night.
On my first stay, the refrigerator was dirty; there was no coffee in the room, no card with wifi code and our room was not made up or cleaned the second day of our stay. The woman working was as the waitress/front desk was just filling in for someone who was not able to work - she knew nothing and had to call out to someone for the wifi info. The room key fell off the fob in the parking lot ( had to hunt with our phone flashlights to find it) because the jet was attached with a curved piece of wire that did not close. Oh, the ice maker was not working.
The second time we stayed, ( in a different room) the refrigerator froze our food, there was no plug for the tub or sink, the window blind was badly broken and the coffee caraf did not fit properly under the coffeemaker.
There are no lights outside on the stairs going up to the rooms, nor are the lights by each room’s entrance creating a safety hazard. Ice maker still not working.
The day we checked out on the second visit, the owner contacted me about coffee/grinds that had spilt on the counter and stained it. She was looking for restitution. I was very annoyed because we would not have spilt coffee had the coffee caraf been the proper one/size for the coffee maker… I I formed her that comet would take out the coffee stains so restitution was not required.
On the up side, the beds were comfortable and an attempt was made for a coordinated decor theme…

Bear Tracks Inn was what I expected a north experience to be. Clean and cosy rooms, quiet surroundings. The restaurant served all the comfort foods imaginable and was clearly enjoyed not just by the guests staying at the Inn but by the locals, who would have to take a drive to get there. The folks running the place are the nicest, friendliest folks ever. I would definitely return!

Friendly staff. We have a 15lb dog that was welcome for a modest fee. Nice Canadian/American restaurant site that also seemed like a community hub with the patrons and staff either already knowing each other or introducing themselves. We were there on a Friday night and the restaurant was buzzing with activity.

The staff was friendly, the accommodations were very clean, the outdoorsy theming was delightful, and there was a nice big outdoor area to walk my dog. The pulled pork poutine was very good too! Will definitely stay again, if out that way.

Noises on either side were ridiculously disrespecttful, from foot stomps to door bangs. The stay was not acceptable; the walls are too thin between rooms.

Good location and quiet despite being on the main road of the peninsula. Staff was really friendly. However, the bedroom would need additional cleaning, as there was dust under the beds and bathroom wasn't spotless. It was a bit pricey, given we were there on Labor Day weekend.

This motel was very close the the attractions I was visiting in Lion's Head. The beach, the lookout and Greig's Caves were all within a 10 min drive.
The next day's drive to Tobermory was only 30 minutes.
Only complaint is the water pressure from the shower head was very low.

Cute decor and all, and friendly staff. We were here to sleep for the night while we hiked around the area. The beds are okay comfortable, a little soft. just not the nicest sheets. There was no AC and we couldn’t open the windows as the nets had holes and we had flies in our room. But if you just need a place to crash you can do it here. Just for the price I wanted to be able to open my windows.
In regards to the restaurant, breakfast was good however it took 45mins. We had to be somewhere and if we had known it would take that long we would have gone somewhere else.
